How to install the grinding disc on the RIDGID R1020 grinder?

To start, press the trigger. To stop, release it. For continuous operation, use the lock-on button: press the trigger, press and hold the lock-on button, release the trigger, then release the button. To turn off, press and release the trigger.

Unplug the tool. Push the handle lock button and turn it 90° to the right or left as desired. Release the button and check that it is locked.
What is the maximum speed not to exceed for accessories?
The no-load speed of the tool is 8,000 RPM. Make sure any accessory used is rated for at least this speed.

Unplug the tool. Remove the brush cover with a flat screwdriver. The brushes are spring-loaded and come out automatically. Replace both brushes when the carbon length is 5 mm or less. Install new brushes with the correct curvature, then replace the cap.

A kickback is a sudden reaction due to pinching of the accessory. To prevent it: hold the tool firmly with both hands, use the side handle, do not place your hands near the rotating accessory, and avoid sharp corners or edges. If a kickback occurs, release the trigger and let the tool stop.
