Lift off the fan assembly and remove everything from the cabinet. Do not discard the cardboard box under the assembly. This box contains your float, float rod, bottle cover, and accessories bag.
Turn the cabinet over and insert the casters snugly into the bottom. Just use your hands! Using tools can crack the cabinet.
Turn the cabinet upright and place the wide end of the float in the circular area in the bottom of the cabinet.
There is a retainer ring on top of your wick. Pull this to fully extend it.
6Locate the vent on the back of your Alliance. It has a narrow lip along the top. The top of your wick has raised lettering that says BACK. With the back of your wick facing the vent, slide the wick down onto the vent lip until it catches, slipping the float rod into the retainer ring as you go.
The AIRCARE 1051 air filter can be used with your Alliance for added air filtration. While your 1045 Super Wick is required for operation, the 1051 filter is optional. If you are using the 1051 filter, install it now. Install your 1051 air filter by clipping the filter's hooks into the slots on the back of your Alliance.
Put your Alliance in the most centrally located room of your home. It should be on a level surface against an interior wall. Make sure it's at least two inches from the wall so the humidistat (on the cord) can accurately read your humidity.
More about positioning:
to maximize humidity circulation, put your untnear a color air return
If you prefer to put your unit in the room where humidity is most needed, you can use the humidity won't calculate as well with this method.
- Don't put your humidifier under a window as condensation may occur
Put the unit on the pattern floor of a multi-story home.
Put the fan assembly on the cabinet. Make sure the float makes a solid connection with the fan switch inside the fan assembly. The fan switch looks like a small, silver diving board.
10 Fill your water bottle, then tighten the cap with your hands, making sure the cap is correctly threaded. Do not overfill the bottle.

11 Note the raised lettering on your bottle that says FRONT and REAR. Put the water bottle in the base with this lettering facing the fan, the front of the bottle facing the front of the Alliance, and the cap facing down.
12 Let the bottle drain completely into the cabinet, then remove the bottle and refill it. Put the bottle back into the cabinet. Filled twice like this, your Alliance holds 5.4 gallons of water.
About water additives:
Do not use essential oils in your Alliance.
Do not use wake-upers
We recommend our Essick Air Bacteriostat to help inhibit nodule growth.

Put the bottle cover on the fan assembly. Wait 20 minutes for the wick to become fully saturated, then proceed to step 14.

Plug in your unit and press the power knob (J). Set your desired fan speed by turning the power knob. Your Alliance has four fan speeds that are displayed by F1 (the lowest through F4 (the highest speed).
Note: On higher episodes, the Alliance puts out a tremendous amount of humility, as it's quest for on these levels. Most of our customer likes to the sound of a box fan. Res: assured there is nothing wrong with your unit. It's just working very hard to put out more needed humility.

Turn the humidity control knob to set your humidity level from 25% to 65% . The humidistat on your cord will read your home's humidity and turn your fan off when the is reached. When set to 65% , your unit will run continuously.
