How do I turn on the device?

Press and hold the ON/OFF button for about 3 seconds. All LCD segments light up and the current temperature and humidity are displayed.

How do I change the temperature unit?

Turn off the device by holding ON/OFF. Then, press and hold the MAX/MIN button while pressing ON/OFF. The device turns on and the unit changes to °F. Repeat the operation to switch back to °C.

How do I use the MAX/MIN function?

Press and hold the MAX/MIN button for 3 seconds. MAX appears with the maximum recorded values. Press again to display MIN and the minimum values. To exit, press and hold MAX/MIN again.

How do I activate the backlight?

Briefly press the ON/OFF button to turn on the backlight. It turns off automatically after 30 seconds. You can also turn it off manually by pressing the button again.

What should I do if the screen shows nothing?

Check that the device is on by pressing ON/OFF. If nothing is displayed, check the battery polarity (correct + and - terminals) or replace the battery with a new 9V battery.

Which battery should I use?

Use a 9V battery (block type). Insert it respecting the polarities indicated in the battery compartment.

How do I clean the device?

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the housing. Do not use solvents or abrasive products. Avoid getting the openings wet.

The device turns off by itself, is this normal?

Yes, the device has an auto-off function after 15 minutes of inactivity. To wake it up, press the ON/OFF button.

What is the temperature measuring range?

The temperature measuring range is -30 °C to +70 °C (or -22 °F to +158 °F). Beyond this, the display shows 'LO' or 'OL'.

What should I do if the device still does not work?

Check the battery and its polarity. If the problem persists, contact the dealer where you purchased the device. Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the device yourself.

• Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking.
• Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when handling leaking batteries.

• To avoid damages of the sensor on the board, do not remove the black protective cover.
• Do not place your product near extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.

6. Operation

6.1 Getting started

• Open the battery compartment and insert the new battery 9 V. Ensure that the battery polarity is correct.
• Please pay attention to the connection wires.

• Close the battery compartment again.
• All LCD segments will be displayed for about a few seconds.
• On the display appear the battery symbol, the actual temperature (default: °C) and humidity.
• The unit is ready for use.
• The instrument will turn off automatically after 15 minutes, if no button is pressed.
• Press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least 3 seconds to turn off the instrument immediately.

6.2 Measuring of the temperature and humidity and HOLD function

• Press and hold the ON/OFF button.
• All LCD segments will be displayed for about a few seconds.
• On the display appear the battery symbol, the actual temperature (default: °C) and humidity.
• Press the MAX/MIN button to activate the HOLD function.
  • HOLD appears on the display.
• The actual temperature and humidity stay on the display.
• Press again the button, to deactivate the HOLD function.

6.3 Reading of the maximum and minimum values

• Press and hold the MAX/MIN button for at least 3 seconds to enter the maximum and minimum mode.
  • MAX appears on the display.
• The maximum temperature and the humidity since the last activation of the device are displayed.
• Press the button again.
  • MIN appears on the display.
• The lowest temperature and humidity since the last activation of the device are displayed.

- Press and hold the MAX/MIN button for at least 3 seconds to leave the maximum and minimum mode.

6.4 Changing of the temperature unit

• The default setting is °C.
- To change the temperature unit, turn off the device by pressing and holding the ON / OFF button first.
- Press and hold the MAX/MIN button.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button at the same time.
- The device switches on and the temperature unit appears in °F.
- To change the temperature unit again, turn off the device first.

6.5 Backlight

• Press the ON/OFF button to activate or deactivate the backlight.
• If the ON/OFF button is not pressed, the backlight switches off automatically after approximately 30 seconds.
• Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
• Remove the battery if you do not use the device for a long period of time.
• Keep the device in a dry place.

7.1 Battery replacement

• Change the battery when the battery symbol appears on the display.
• Confirm the device is powered off before changing battery.
• Open the battery compartment and insert a new battery 9 V.
