  • Warning. Not suitable for children under 36 months. Suffocation hazard. Small parts.

  • Never charge the rechargeable battery immediately after use. Always allow the rechargeable battery to cool down first (min. 5-10 minutes).
  • It is not possible to charge the rechargeable battery using traditional chargers because of the special battery plug connection.
  • Only use the USB charging cable supplied to charge the rechargeable battery.
  • Charge only intact and undamaged recharge- able batteries.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation as both the charg- ing cable and rechargeable battery heat up while charging. Never cover up the charging cable and the rechargeable battery!
  • Protect the rechargeable battery from mechan- ical damage. Risk of fire!
  • Should electrolyte solution leak from the rechargeable battery, avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and skin. Rinse off affected areas with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor immediately. The electrolyte solution may cause irritations.
  • Never leave rechargeable batteries unattend- ed while charging.
  • Disconnect the rechargeable battery from the charging cable when it is fully charged.
  • The rechargeable battery may be charged only in dry, enclosed interior spaces. The USB charging cable and rechargeable battery may not become damp or wet.
  • Never charge and store the rechargeable battery or product near major sources of heat or near open flame as this could lead to explosion of the rechargeable battery.
  • If the rechargeable battery catches fire during charging, do not use water to extinguish it, but use for example dry sand.
  • Do not leave the product unattended during charging and be sure to guard against any possible overheating.
  • Charge the rechargeable battery only at an ambient temperature of between 5 and 35°C.13
  • The charging contacts on the rechargeable battery may not come into contact with metal- lic objects.
  • If the rechargeable battery has received a heavy blow, store it for the next 30 minutes in a very safe location (e.g. in a metal box).
  • Never try to manipulate, modify, or repair a rechargeable battery or the product.
  • When the rechargeable battery has reached the end of its service life it must be removed and the product and the rechargeable battery must be disposed of. Do not attempt to replace the rechargeable battery. Danger!
  • Once removed the rechargeable battery may not be thrown onto a fire or short-circuited. The rechargeable battery can overheat and explode.
  • The rechargeable battery may not be disas- sembled. Inserting batteries (fig. B) WARNING! Comply with the following instructions to prevent mechanical and electrical damage.

1. Loosen the screw (2a) on the battery com-

partment (2c) of the remote control (2) with the aid of a screwdriver (5) and remove the battery compartment lid (2b).

2. Carefully insert the batteries (4) into the

battery compartment. The batteries must be lo- cated entirely inside the battery compartment. Note: Pay attention to the plus/minus polarity of the batteries and their correct installation.

3. Put the battery compartment lid on the battery

compartment and tighten the battery compart- ment lid back onto the bottom of the remote control with the screw. Replacing batteries WARNING! Comply with the following instructions to prevent mechanical and electrical damage. If the batteries stop working, replace them using the same process as described for inserting them. Remove the batteries already in the pro- duct before inserting the new ones. Switching product on and off The remote control (2) and the vehicle (1) must be switched on to operate the product.

  • Set the switch (1a) of the vehicle and the switch (2e) of the remote control to ON to switch the product on.
  • Slide the switches (1a) and (2e) to OFF to switch off.
  • Both the remote control and the vehicle must be switched off when the product is not in use. Charging rechargeable battery (fig. C). Follow these steps to charge the rechargeable battery of the vehicle (1):

1. Open the rechargeable battery compartment

of the vehicle with the screwdriver (5) and remove the rechargeable battery compart- ment lid.

2. Disconnect the rechargeable battery plug (1c)

from the vehicle by squeezing and pulling.

3. Remove the rechargeable battery and connect

it to the end (3a) of the USB charging cable. Note: Be sure to align the plug correctly.

4. Connect the other end (3b) of the USB charg-

ing cable to a USB port of a switched-on com- puter or a charging station with a USB port. Note: Charging takes about 140 minutes.

5. Unplug the USB charging cable from the USB

port and from the rechargeable battery after charging.

6. Put the rechargeable battery back into the

vehicle and connect both of them.

7. Close back the rechargeable battery compart-

ment lid. Controlling the vehicle (fig. D) The vehicle can be steered in various directions using the remote control. Press the following controls:

  • Control lever (2f) either forwards or back- wards: Left-side wheels move either forwards or backwards.
  • Control lever (2g) either to the left or to the right: Right-side wheels move either forwards or backwards. GB/IE14
  • Both control levers (2f), (2g) combined: The vehicle travels either forwards or backwards, or turns on its own axis. Note: If the other side of the vehicle is facing upwards, the vehicle travels in the opposite direction each time. Storage, cleaning CAUTION: Before you clean the product the on/off switch (1a) of the vehicle must be in the OFF position and the batteries must be removed from the remote control. When not in use, always store the product dry, clean, without batteries, and at room tempera- ture. Wipe clean with a dry cloth only. IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents. Disposal In the interest of protecting the environ- ment, do not throw your product into the household waste once you are finished with it, but rather take it to a specialty disposal facility. Find out about collection sites and their hours of operation from your local authority. Defective or used batteries must be recycled pursuant to Directive 2006/66/EC and changes to it. Return batteries and/or the product via the collecting sites provided. Packaging materials, such as plastic bags, must be kept away from children. Keep the packaging materials out of reach of children. Environmental damage caused by improper disposal of batteries! Batteries may not be disposed of with household waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment. The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Dispose of used batter- ies at a municipal collection site. Dispose of the product and packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Note the label on the packaging materials when separating waste, as these are labelled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and card- board/80–98: composite materials. The product and the packaging materials can be recycled, dispose of them separately for better treatment of waste. The Triman logo only applies to France.
