WARRANTY Dear client , All of our products are always submitted to a strict quality control before they are sold to you. Should you nevertheless experience problems with your device, we sincerely regret this. In that case, we kindly request you to contact our customer service. Our sta will gladly assist you. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty. If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it. The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months. The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:

• If the instructions in this manual have not been followed.

• In case of incorrect connection, e.g., electrical voltage that is too high.

• In case of incorrect, rough or abnormal use.

• In case of insucient or incorrect maintenance.

• In case of repairs or alterations to the device by the consumer or non-authorised third parties.

• If the customer used parts or accessories that are not recommended or provided by the supplier / manufacturer. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:

• Read all instructions carefully. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the rst time. Make sure children cannot play with the packaging materials.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

• sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and other working environments;

• by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

• bed and breakfast type environments.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 16 and supervised.

• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 16 years.

• All repairs should be carried out by the manufacturer or its aftersales service.

• Any injury or damage caused by failure to comply with these rules are at your own risk. Neither the manufacturer, importer, or the supplier may be held liable.

I ELECTRICAL WARNINGS

• In order to avoid a hazard this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer or a separate remote control, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and o by the utility.

• The appliance must be disconnected from its power source when not in use, during service and when replacing parts. Allow to cool before putting on or taking o parts, and before cleaning the appliance. To disconnect, turn controls to “OFF” or “0” position, then remove the plug from the wall. Never pull the cord or appliance to remove the plug from the socket.

• Check carefully that the voltage and frequency of the power net match the indications on the rating label of the appliance.

• The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local standards and requirements.

• Do not let the power supply cord hang over the edge of a counter, or touch hot surfaces.

• Keep the power cord away from hot parts and don’t cover the appliance.

• Unwrap the cord completely to prevent overheating of the cord. Do not allow the power cord supply to run underneath or around the unit.

• The appliance may not be used with an extension lead or a multiple socket.

• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or in the event the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the DOMO Service Department or its service agent for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. I INSTALLATION

• Do not place near ammable materials, gases or explosives.

• Do not use or store this appliance outdoors.

• Always use the appliance on a steady, dry and level surface.

• Never place this appliance near a gas stove or electrical stove or in a place where it may come into contact with a warm appliance. I USE

• Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.

• Only use the appliance for domestic use. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for accidents that result from improper use of the appliance or not following the instructions described in this manual.

• Never leave the appliance unattended while it is functioning.

• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.

• The use of accessories that are not recommended or sold by the manufacturer can cause re, electrical shock or injuries. Only use the utensils delivered with the appliance.26 DO637ED

I CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• To protect against electrical shock or burns, do not immerse unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.

• Failure to maintain this appliance in a clean condition could adversely aect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

I PRODUCT-SPECIFIC WARNINGS

• Wrap the cord up completely to prevent it from overheating.

• Never touch the device with wet or damp hands.

• Do not use needles, safety pins, or other sharp objects on the device as these will damage the wiring.

• While the device is switched on:

• No large or heavy object may be placed on top of it.

• No source of heat (e.g. hot-water bottles, bed warmers, heating pads) may be placed on top of it.

• Avoid letting animals lie on the device.

• The electric and magnetic elds emitted by this electrical product can interfere with the operation of a pacemaker under certain circumstances. Therefore, contact your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this product.

• The device is not intended for use in hospitals.

• The device must not be used by people who are insensitive to heat or who are unable to react should the device start to overheat.

• The cord and control panel of the device may present a risk of suocation, strangulation, tripping, or stumbling if not laid away neatly. The user must ensure that the attachments and the cord are always in a safe position.

• The device may only be operated using the control panel supplied.

• Always allow the device to cool down before folding it up and storing it away.

• Do not crease the device by placing objects on top of it when stored.

• Do not use the device when it is still wet. The device must be completely dry before use.

• In case of long-term use, e.g. if the user falls asleep, it is recommended to set the device to setting 1.

• Unplug the device and allow it to cool down for at least 10 minutes before cleaning.

• The device can be washed by hand.

• The controls and the cord must not be covered or placed under the blanket during use.

• Never touch the device if falls into the water. Immediately remove the plug from the power socket.

• Only use the unit in dry rooms (not in bathrooms or similar).

• Prolonged use on a high temperature setting may cause burns on a sensitive skin.

• Never carry, pull, or twist the blanket by its cord and never let the cord get tangled.

• Remove all packaging materials and any promotional stickers before using the appliance for the rst time. Make sure that children do not play with the packing materials.

• After unpacking, carefully check for external damage that may have occurred during transport.

• Never use the appliance when folded, bent, turned down, and/or tucked in.

• Do not place articial heat sources, heavy and/or angular objects on the appliance.

• There may be a slight odour when the appliance is used for the rst time. This is normal. It is recommended that the room be ventilated briey after the rst use. USE

1. Slide the connection plug into the opening. Plug the power cord into a socket.

2. Press the power button to turn the device on. The device heats up. The standard setting is

maintained: heat setting 5 and timer 1 hour.

3. Press the on/o button if you want to disconnect the appliance. Then unplug the appliance.

TEMPERATURE You can adjust the temperature using the decrease (-) and increase (+) buttons. There are 10 settings, with 1 being the coldest and 10 the warmest. The selected heat setting is shown on the display. In case of long-term use, e.g. if the user falls asleep, it is recommended to set the device to setting 1.

TIMER After 1 hour, the device will switch o automatically. This is a set safety measure. You can adjust this time up to 10 hours using the timer button. Press the button and then adjust the desired time using the decrease (-) and increase (+) buttons. The time is visible on the display. You do not have to conrm this; the timer will be set if you do not press any button for a few seconds. After this selected time has elapsed, the device switches o automatically.

• The device is equipped with overheating protection. This protection prevents the device from overheating across its entire surface by automatically switching o the power in the event of a malfunction. Please note that the device may not be used afterwards for safety reasons and must be returned to your retailer.

• Prolonged use on a high temperature setting may cause burns on a sensitive skin.

• Check if the temperature is pleasant with the top of your hand. This zone is more sensitive than the palm of the hand.

• If you use the appliance for several hours at the highest setting, the appliance could overheat.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning it. Remove the connection plug. Always

remove the plug from the electrical socket before cleaning.

2. The blanket can be washed by hand. Place the blanket in soapy water and mild liquid detergent.

Gently wring out any excess water. Rinse with clean water to remove all the detergent.

3. Small stains can be cleaned with a cloth or damp sponge, if necessary with a liquid mild washing

4. Then let it air dry. Never dry in a tumble dryer, in the sun, or on a heater. Do not use clothes pegs.

Instead, drape the device over a drying rack.

Never switch the device on to dry it faster. Only use the heating pad when it is completely dry.

Washing it too frequently can lead to colour changes or wear. Only wash the heating pad when absolutely necessary. If you do not use the device for a longer period of time, we recommend that you store it in its original packaging in a dry environment and without placing anything heavy on top of it. Allow the device to cool down before storing it. Store the appliance in a dry place. Make sure the appliance is rolled up properly. Do not fold the appliance.

PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Problem Solution The appliance does not work. - Make sure the connection plug has been connected correctly. - Check if the appliance works if you use another socket. The appliance has been stopped working. - After 1 h, the appliance shuts o automatically. Let the appliance cool down for 10 min. and press again the on/o button. - You can set the timer up to a maximum of 10 hours to allow the device to work for longer. The display will ash. - Did you rst insert the plug into the socket and then insert the connector plug into the device? You must always insert the connector plug rst, and then plug the other end into the electrical socket. - Did the connector plug accidentally come o while using the device? Remove the plug from the electrical socket rst, then reattach the connector plug to the device, and then plug the cable back in. The appliance does not heat enough. - After +/- 15 min. the appliance reaches the set temperature. Increase the temperature if necessary.30 DO637ED
