How to use the DO639K heating cushion?

Insert the connection plug, plug into the mains, attach the belt with velcro on the desired area (back, neck, abdomen) and set the switch to the desired temperature: 1 (low), 2 (medium) or 3 (high).

Is there an automatic shut-off?

Yes, the device switches off automatically after 90 minutes of operation. To extend, set the switch to off for 10 seconds then turn on again.

How to clean the heating cushion?

Let it cool completely, remove the connection plug. Wash the belt by hand at max 30°C with a mild detergent. Rinse, wring gently and air dry. Never use a tumble dryer, radiator or sunlight.

Can I use the cushion if I have a pacemaker?

Consult your doctor and the pacemaker manufacturer before use, as electromagnetic fields may interfere.

Is the heating cushion suitable for children?

The device can be used by persons aged 16 and over. It is not suitable for children under 3 years. Children must not play with the device.

What to do if the cushion does not heat up?

Check the plug connection, the mains socket, and that the switch is in a position. If the problem persists, contact DOMO after-sales service at [phone].

Can I use an extension cord?

No, the use of an extension cord or power strip is prohibited for safety reasons.

How to store the heating cushion?

Let it cool completely, store it in its original packaging, in a dry place, without folding or placing heavy objects on it. Roll it up without folding.

What to do in case of overheating?

The device is equipped with overheat protection that automatically cuts off the power. After that, the cushion must no longer be used; return it to your retailer.

Can I use the cushion on a swollen or injured area?

No, do not use the cushion on swollen, injured or inflamed areas. If you feel persistent pain, consult a doctor.

This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty. If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.

The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months.

The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:

• If the instructions in this manual have not been followed.
  · In case of incorrect connection, e.g., electrical voltage that is too high.
  · In case of incorrect, rough or abnormal use.
  · In case of insufficient or incorrect maintenance.
  · In case of repairs or alterations to the device by the consumer or non-authorised third parties.
• If the customer used parts or accessories that are not recommended or provided by the supplier / manufacturer.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:

• Read all instructions carefully. Keep this manual for future reference.
• Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the first time. Make sure children cannot play with the packaging materials.

· This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

• staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
  · farm houses;
• by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
• bed and breakfast type environments.

· Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 16 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given

supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 16 and supervised.

- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 16 years.

· All repairs should be carried out by the manufacturer or its aftersales service.

- Any injury or damage caused by failure to comply with these rules are at your own risk. Neither the manufacturer, importer, or the supplier may be held liable.

▲ELECTRICAL WARNINGS

- In order to avoid a hazard this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer or a separate remote control, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

- The appliance must be disconnected from its power source when not in use, during service and when replacing parts. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance. To disconnect, turn controls to "OFF" or "o" position, then remove the plug from the wall. Never pull the cord or appliance to remove the plug from the socket.

- Check carefully that the voltage and frequency of the power net match the indications on the rating label of the appliance.

- The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local standards and requirements.

- Do not let the power supply cord hang over the edge of a counter, or touch hot surfaces.

- Keep the power cord away from hot parts and don't cover the appliance.

- Unwrap the cord completely to prevent overheating of the cord. Do not allow the power cord supply to run underneath or around the unit.

- The appliance may not be used with an extension lead or a multiple socket.

- Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or in the event the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the DOMO Service Department or its service agent for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.

- Do not place near flammable materials, gases or explosives.

- Do not use or store this appliance outdoors.

· Always use the appliance on a steady, dry and level surface.

- Never place this appliance near a gas stove or electrical stove or in a place where it may come into contact with a warm appliance.

⚠ USE

· Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.

- Only use the appliance for domestic use. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for accidents that result from improper use of the appliance or not following the instructions described in this manual.

· Never leave the appliance unattended while it is functioning.

· Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.

- The use of accessories that are not recommended or sold by the manufacturer can cause fire, electrical shock or injuries. Only use the utensils delivered with the appliance.

△CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

· To protect against electrical shock or burns, do not immerse unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
- Failure to maintain this appliance in a clean condition could adversely affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

⚠️PRODUCT-SPECIFIC WARNINGS

• Wrap the cord up completely to prevent it from overheating.
  · Never touch the device with wet or damp hands.
  Do not use needles, safety pins, or other sharp objects on the device as these will damage the wiring.

· While the device is switched on:

• No large or heavy object may be placed on top of it.
• No source of heat (e.g. hot-water bottles, bed warmers, heating pads) may be placed on top of it.

- Avoid letting animals lie on the device.

- The electric and magnetic fields emitted by this electrical product can interfere with the operation of a pacemaker under certain circumstances. Therefore, contact your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this product.

· The device is not intended for use in hospitals.

- The device must not be used by people who are insensitive to heat or who are unable to react should the device start to overheat.

- The cord and control panel of the device may present a risk of suffocation, strangulation, tripping, or stumbling if not laid away neatly. The user must ensure that the attachments and the cord are always in a safe position.

· The device may only be operated using the control panel supplied.

· Always allow the device to cool down before folding it up and storing it away.

- Do not crease the device by placing objects on top of it when stored.

- Do not use the device when it is still wet. The device must be completely dry before use.

· In case of long-term use, e.g. if the user falls asleep, it is recommended to set the device to setting 1.

- Unplug the device and allow it to cool down for at least 10 minutes before cleaning.

· The device can be washed by hand.

- Do not cover the heating pad with pillows, cushions, other pads, etc. The controls must not be covered or placed under the heating pad during use.

- Do not sit on the heating pad. Use it only on the parts of the body that you want to treat with heat therapy. The heating pad is intended for use on the back and neck.

· Never touch the device if falls into the water. Immediately remove the plug from the power socket.

· Do not use the heating pad on parts of the body that are swollen, injured, or inflamed.

- If you experience persistent pain in muscles or joints, consult a doctor. Persistent pain can be a symptom of a serious illness.

· If you experience pain or discomfort while using the device, stop using it immediately.

- Only use the unit in dry rooms (not in bathrooms or similar).

· Never carry, pull, or twist the heating pad by its cord and never let the cord get tangled.

· The control elements and cables must not be exposed to any form of moisture.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging materials and any promotional stickers before using the appliance for the first time. Make sure that children do not play with the packing materials.
  After unpacking, carefully check for external damage that may have occurred during transport.
  · Never use the appliance when folded, bent, turned down, and/or tucked in.
  · Do not place artificial heat sources, heavy and/or angular objects on the appliance.
• There may be a slight odour when the appliance is used for the first time. This is normal. It is recommended that the room be ventilated briefly after the first use.

USE

1. Slide the connection plug into the opening. Plug the power cord into a socket.

2. Attach the belt to your back or stomach using the Velcro fastener. Make sure that the cord connection is on the outside of the belt.

3. Turn on the appliance by setting the switch to the desired temperature.

4. 1 = low temperature
   · 2 = medium temperature
   · 3 = high temperature

5. When you stop using the device, turn off the switch and remove the plug from the power socket.

After 90 minutes, the appliance will automatically switch off. If you wish to use the heating pad for a longer time, switch it off for about 10 seconds. You can then use the appliance again. If you no longer wish to use the heating pad, turn off the switch and remove the plug from the power socket.

Attention:

• The device is equipped with overheating protection. This protection prevents the device from overheating across its entire surface by automatically switching off the power in the event of a malfunction. Please note that the device may not be used afterwards for safety reasons and must be returned to your retailer.
  · Prolonged use on a high temperature setting may cause burns on a sensitive skin.
• Check if the temperature is pleasant with the top of your hand. This zone is more sensitive than the palm of the hand.
  · If you use the appliance for several hours at the highest setting, the appliance could overheat.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning it. Remove the connection plug. Always remove the plug from the electrical socket before cleaning.

2. The belt can be washed by hand. Place the belt in soapy water and mild liquid detergent. Gently wring out any excess water. Rinse with clean water to remove all the detergent.

3. Small stains can be cleaned with a cloth or damp sponge, if necessary with a liquid mild washing detergent.

4. Then let it air dry. Never dry in a tumble dryer, in the sun, or on a heater. Do not use clothes pegs. Instead, drape the device over a drying rack.

⚠️ Never switch the device on to dry it faster. Only use the heating pad when it is completely dry. ⚠️ Washing it too frequently can lead to colour changes or wear. Only wash the heating pad when absolutely necessary.

STORING THE DEVICE

If you do not use the device for a longer period of time, we recommend that you store it in its original packaging in a dry environment and without placing anything heavy on top of it. Allow the device to cool down before storing it.

Store the appliance in a dry place. Make sure the appliance is rolled up properly. Do not fold the appliance.
