We are delighted that you have chosen the MAXXMEE Compact Air Purifi er. With its 3-stage cleaning process it always ensures clean air. The integrated UV light effectively disinfects the air. Allergens, pollen, particulate matter etc. are optimally fi itered out by the pre-fi iter, HEPA fi iter and activated carbon fi iter, while dirt particles from the air in the room are bound by the ionisation function. Information About the Operating Instructions
Before using the device for the first time, please read through these operating instructions carefully and keep them for future reference and other users. They form an integral part of the device. The manufacturer and importer do not accept any liability if the information in these operating instructions is not complied with.

INTENDED USE
This device is intended for purifying and ionising the ambient air.
The device is not a substitute for adequate ventilation.
The device is not suitable for use as a (fume) extractor hood.
- Do not use the device indoors where smoky or gaseous insect repellents have been used, or in places with oily residues, incinerators or chemical vapours.

The device is not designed to fi Iter carbon monoxide (CO) or radon (Rn) gases from the air. It is not suitable as a safety device for accidents involving combustion and hazardous chemicals.
The device is suitable for a surface area of no more than 30 m². It is not a substitute for an air-conditioning system.
The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
Use the device only for the specified purpose and as described in the operating instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
The warranty does not cover faults caused by incorrect handling, damage, calcifi cation or attempted repairs. The same applies to normal wear and tear.
SAFETYNOTICES
This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely and have understood the dangers resulting from failure to comply with the relevant safety precautions.
Children must not play with the device.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are supervised.
Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device.
The device must always be switched off and disconnected from the mains power when left unattended and before cleaning it.
- Do not make any modifications to the device. If the device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or customer service department or a similarly qualified person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.

DANGER - Danger of Electric Shock
Use and store the device only in closed rooms.
- Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.
- Never immerse the device in water or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.
If the device falls into water you should have it checked by a specialist workshop before putting it back into operation.
- Never touch the device with wet hands when it is connected to the mains power.

WARNING - Danger of Fire

Do not use the device in the vicinity of highly flammable materials (curtains, textiles, etc.). Do not place any combustible materials (e.g. cardboard, paper, plastic) on the device.

Do not use flammable substances such as air fresheners or similar products in the immediate vicinity of the device.

- Do not insert anything into the openings of the device and make sure that they do not become clogged. The device must not be used with blocked openings.

WARNING - Danger of Injury

Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of suffocation.

Do not look directly into the UV light. There is the risk of damage to the eyes.
The magnetic fi elds of the magnets may interfere with sensitive electronic devices. You should therefore keep electronic devices and magnetic data storage media away. If in any doubt, people with electronic medical implants (e.g. pacemakers) should consult their doctor before using the device.
NOTICE - Risk of Damage to Material and Property
- Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the socket if an error occurs during operation, when there is a power cut or before a thunderstorm.
Always switch off the device first before the mains plug is pulled out of the socket.

Do not use the device in the immediate vicinity of devices which operate using short waves or microwaves. Maintain a minimum gap of 2 metres.

Protect the device from other heat sources, naked flames, sub-zero temperatures, persistent moisture, wet conditions and impacts.
Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible damage.
USE
Please Note!
Only connect the device to a socket that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the device. The socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
The device without an extension cable should only be used in wall sockets in a vertical position, and not horizontally (lying).
- Do not operate the device unsupervised so that you can intervene immediately if there are any faults.
- Connect the device to a socket in the wall.

For effici cient operation we recommend closing the windows and doors of the room.
- Press the On / Off switch in order to switch on the device. The UV light switches on and the device starts to operate.
- If the device is no longer going to be used, switch off the device using the On / Off switch and pull the mains plug out of the socket.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
The combination filter cannot and must not be cleaned.
- Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the device. These may damage the surfaces.

- Make sure that the device is not connected to the mains power.
- Wipe down the device with a soft, damp cloth.
- Store the device in a clean, dry place so that it is protected and is out of the reach of children and animals when it is not in use.
MAINTENANCE
The device must be kept operational. The combination filter (7) has to be replaced regularly (approx. every 2 to 3 months). The intervals at which the combination fi tter has to be replaced depend on the air quality and the frequency of use of the device.

- Remove the front cover (5) from the housing (4).
- Pull the combination filter (7) out of the unit by the loop.
- Insert a new combination fi Iter into the device.
- Place the front cover on the magnets (8).
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps below, contact the customer service department.

Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
The device does not work.
The mains plug is not inserted in the socket correctly.
Correct the fit.
The socket is defective.
Try another socket.
There is no mains voltage.
Check the fuse of the mains connection.
