  • The appliance is intended solely for domesc use within the home.
  • Aenon!Avoid touching hot surfaces.
  • Before plugging into a socket, check that the voltage in your home corresponds with the voltage printed on the boom of the appliance.
  • Never let the power cord of the appliance hang over the edge of a table or counter, touch hot surfaces or become knoed.
  • Never place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or where it could touch a heated oven or microwave. Do not allow this appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other ammable materials during use.
  • Always use the appliance on a secure, dry, level surface.
  • Never leave the appliance unaended when in use.
  • Always return the appliance aer a malfuncon, or if it has been damaged in any manner to the Customer Service Department for examinaon, repair or adjustment as special purpose tools are required.
  • If the mains connecon cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • For your own safety, only use the accessories and spare parts from the manufacturer which are suitable for the appliance.

EN - 9• This appliance shall not be used by children from 0 to 8 years. This appliance can be used by children over the age of 8 and above if they are connuously supervised. This can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of experience or knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instrucon concering use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

  • Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children.
  • Children must not play with the appliance.
  • Unplug the appliance as soon as you have nished using it and when you are cleaning it.
  • Never use the appliance if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged. Any intervenon other than cleaning and normal maintenance by the customer must be carried out by an approved service centre.

Before you use the appliance for the rst me, please do as follows: Unpack the appliance carefully and remove all the packaging material and any promoonal sckers. Keep the material (plasc bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Check the appliance aer unpacking for any visible damage, that could be caused by transportaon. Before plugging into a socket, check that the voltage in your home corresponds with the voltage printed at the boom of the appliance. Place the appliance on a stable and heat resistant surface. Wipe the housing of the appliance only with a damp cloth. Note: the new appliance can give o a bit of smoke and the typically ‘new’ smell. It is therefore advisable to switch the appliance on several mes at the highest seng without bread inside. Use the toaster only for toasng bread. Do not prepare sandwiches in the toaster. If you do, cheese and fat can come onto the heang elements which can shorten the lifeme of the appliance. The toaster is suited to toast two slices of bread at once. The bread slots are wide enough to toast halved hamburger buns. Toast one half bun per slot. Use the separate warming rack to warm larger buns above the toaster. Put the plug into the socket.

  • Adjust the browning control with the control knob.
  • Place one or two slices of bread into the toasng slot.
  • Push the bread li lever straight down to lower the slices. The indicator light in the CANCEL buon lights up.
  • Once the toasng cycle has nished, the appliance will automacally switch o and the lever will return to it’s original posion, liing the toasted slices.
  • Always use the STOP buon if you wish to stop toasng the bread earlier, not the bread carriage lever. The browning level is adjustable; posion 1 is light and posion 6 is dark. TOASTING BREAD

8EN - 12 The toaster can automacally compensate the heat. This means that when you directly toast another slice of bread, the toaster calculates the temperature of the device and adjusts the toasng me. This will ensure that your second slice of bread has the same browning as the rst one. With the DEFROST funcon you can defrost and toast bread at the same me.

  • Adjust the browning control with the control knob.
  • Place the frozen bread in the toasng slot and push the lever down.
  • Press the DEFROST buon. The indicator lights in the buons DEFROST and CANCEL will light up.
  • The bread will be defrosted and then toasted. If you would like to reheat the bread, aer it has been toasted, press the REHEAT buon.
  • Place the bread in the toasng slot and push the lever down.
  • Press the REHEAT buon. The indicator lights in the REHEAT and CANCEL buon will light up.
  • The bread will be reheated. It is not necessary to set the browning control. You can stop any process, toasng, reheang and defrosng, by pressing the CANCEL buon. The appliance will automacally switch o and the lever will return to it’s original posion, liing the toasted slices. The toasng me depends on the dampness of the bread and the thickness of the slice. If you only place one slice into the toaster, it is possible that with the same seng the slice will brown more. Select a lower seng of the browning level. If for whatever reason, a piece of bread is caught into the toasng slots, do not try to remove it immediately. Use the hi-li funcon to li the piece of bread higher to remove it easier. If this does not work, unplug the toaster and leave it to cool down rst. Than try to remove the piece carefully without touching the heangelements. Place the separate warming rack on the toaster to warm larger buns.
  • Place the bread to be warmed on the warming rack and push down the bread carriage lever.
  • Press the WARM buon. The indicator lamps in the WARM and STOP buons will light.
  • The bread will be warmed. The posion of the toasng level knob has no eect.
  • Interrupt warming by pressing the STOP buon. This symbol means that this product should not be disposed of with regular household waste (2012/19/EU). Observe the applicable rules in your country for the separate collecon of electric and electronic products. By disposing of the product correctly, you prevent negave consequences for the environment and for public health. The packaging material of this product can be recycled 100%, return packaging material separately. RECYCLING Always unplug the appliance before cleaning. Wipe the outside of the housing with a damp cloth and dry. Neveruseanyabrasives!Neverimmersetheapplianceintowaterorotherliquids. Remove the crumbtray at the boom of the toaster for easy cleaning of the inside. Pull the crumbtray carefully at the handle from the side of the toaster. Remove the crumbs and clean the crumbtray with a damp cloth. Slide the crumbtray back into the toaster aer cleaning. Check the correct placement of the crumbtray before re-use.
