  • WARNING – Never use this appliance in a damp room such as a bathroom or close to a sink/ basin, bathtub, shower, swimming pool, etc...
  • DANGER! Never place the appliance beneath a source of water (rain, tapÉ), risk of electric shock.
  • DO NOT place the heater directly below a fixed socket outlet.
  • The socket-outlet must be accessible at all times to enable the mains plug to be disconnected as quickly as possible.
  • DO NOT operate the heater with the mains lead overhanging the front outlet grille.
  • DO NOT COVER or obstruct the air inlet and outlet openings in any way.
  • The heater carries the warning symbol indicating that it must not be covered.
  • WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
  • IMPORTANT: If the mains lead of this appliance is damaged, it must

be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

- WARNING: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  • CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present
  • WARNING: Risk of fire – Do not use this appliance connected through an extension lead or any external switching device such as a plug in timer or remote control plug in adaptor. All heating appliances draw high current through the mains supply and any weakness in the design, connections or components in these devices can easily result in overheating of the connection points resulting in melting, distortion and even the risk of fire.
  • WARNING: To avoid danger of suffocation please remove all packaging materials particularly plastic and EPS and keep these away from vulnerable people, children and babies.
  • WARNING: To avoid the risk of accidental strangulation from the supply cord all children and vulnerable people must be

supervised when in the vicinity of the product whether it is working or not.

  • DO NOT use this heater if it has been dropped.
    • DO NOT use if there are visible signs of damage to the heater
  • IMPORTANT: Use this heater on a horizontal and stable surface.
  • DO NOT use the heater on deep pil carpets or the long hair type of rug or less than 750mm (30") away from any overhanging surface. Keep combustible materials such as drapes and other furnishings clear from the front, sides and rear of the heater. Do not use heater to dry your laundry.
  • WARNING: Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is providedE
  • WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, keep textiles, curtains or any other flammable material a minimum distance of 1m from the air outlet.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Only plug the appliance onto a 230-volt alternating current power supply (respect the indications on the identification plate) and to an electrical installation which complies with the relevant standards. Please read the safety and installation instructions carefully prior to switching the appliance on.

The heat output is controlled by the thermostat, according to the room temperature.

Turn the thermostat knob fully clockwise to maximum setting initially. When the room is warm enough, reduce the setting slowly until the heater just clicks off.

The heater will now cycle on and off to maintain your selected room temperature.

An audible click may be heard when the thermostat operates - this is normal.

Note: If the heater does not come on when the thermostat is at a low setting, this is normally because the room is warmer than the thermostat setting and is not a fault.

When the heat control is set to ✦ for cool blow, set the thermostat control (3) to maximum.

Position * will turn the heater on and off to maintain a temperature of approximately 5°.

OVERHEAT SAFETY

For your safety, this appliance is fitted with a thermal cut-out. In the event that the product overheats, the cut-out switches the heater off automatically. To bring the heater back into operation, remove the cause of overheating, then turn off the electrical supply to the heater for a few minutes.

When the heater has cooled sufficiently reconnect and switch on the heater.

If the cut-out operates repeatedly, contact your supplier.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it:

  • Clean the surface of the appliance using a soft cloth, do not use any water.
  • If the appliance is very dirty, clean the surface using a damp cloth (add a non-corrosive cleaning product if required.
  • Do not use corrosive detergents, corrosive solvents or chemical products.
  • Do not use an abrasive sponge, scouring pad or hard brush to clean the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the main body of the appliance into water.
  • Ensure that the motor and the other electrical components do not come into contact with water.
  • If the appliance is not to be used for a long period, pack it away carefully. Store it in a dry and ventilated area where it will not be affected by dust.

GUARANTEE

This EWT ^® appliance comes with a two- (2) year guarantee which begins on the date of purchase and only applies to use under normal conditions. The guarantee does not apply to damage incurred as a direct or indirect result of inappropriate use, negligence, improper use, accidents, improper repairs or lack of maintenance. Please keep your receipt/invoice as proof of purchase.

EXCLUSIONS FROM GUARANTEE

  • Modifications, disassembly or integration into another machine or assembly making the appliance fixed or semi-fixed,
    • Normal wear and tear of parts,
    • Deterioration following incorrect use,
  • Failure to respect the instructions manual or the maintenance and safety instructions,
  • Damage arising from faulty maintenance or lack of maintenance,
  • Damage caused by exterior factors (lightningÉ),
    • Abnormal use of the machine,
  • Storage in poor/inappropriate conditions,
  • Impacts,
    • Immersion of the appliance
  • Use of parts or accessories which are not approved and certified by Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliance,
  • Expiry of guarantee.

RECYCLING

In compliance with European Directive 2012/19/EU regarding electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), this equipment is marked with the crossed-out dustbin symbol which indicates that the product should not be disposed of with household waste.

It should be delivered to an appropriate collection point for processing, valuation, recycling of EEE waste (obtain information from your local town or city hall) or returned to a distributor on a "1 for 1 free" basis (recovery by the distributor does not entitle you to any payment or discount).
