• The appliance is hot during operation and for some time after switching off.

• Before cleaning and after use of the appliance, switch the appliance off, disconnect it from the mains and allow it to cool down.

• Do not allow the power cord to hang freely over the edge of the table. Do not allow the power cord to touch hot surfaces.

• This appliance is not intended to be controlled by an external device such as a timer or by a separate remote control system.

• Only place the appliance on a stable and heat-resistant surface away from other heat sources such as radiators, ovens, etc. Protect it from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Do not use the appliance in an environment where there are explosive gases and flammable substances (solvents, varnishes, adhesives, etc.).

• Caution - bread may ignite! When using the appliance, keep a sufficient space around and above the appliance to ensure sufficient air circulation. Do not let the appliance come into contact with curtains, wall linings, textile, paper, or other combustible materials while in operation. In addition, it is not recommended to install the appliance near or under the above materials. Do not put any of these materials on top of the appliance.

• Do not use the appliance without the extensible crumb tray. The tray shall be cleaned regularly. Do not allow crumbs to accumulate on the tray. They could touch the heating body and ignite.

• Do not insert any metal objects into the appliance.

• Do not put excessively large pieces of food in the appliance.

• Do not prepare any food containing jam or marmalade in the appliance.

• Do not use coarse and chemically aggressive substances to clean the appliance.

• Do not use the appliance if it is not working properly, has been dropped, damaged or immersed in liquid. Have it checked and repaired by an authorized service centre.

• Do not use the appliance with a damaged cord or plug and have it repaired immediately by an authorized service centre.

• Do not use the appliance outdoors.

• The appliance is only suitable for home use and is not intended for commercial use.

• Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.35

• Do not immerse the power cord, plug or appliance in water or any other liquid.

• Do not use any accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

• Do not repair the appliance yourself. Contact an authorized service centre.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user must not be carried out by children unless they are at least 8 years old and under supervision. Children aged under 8 years of age must be kept away from the appliance and its power cord. Do not let children play with the appliance. Damages from failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions are not covered by the warranty.36

5. After the appliance heats up, insert the food.

If you select the pork, steak, fish program, the display will flash after heating and you have to select how you want to prepare the food. Use the and buttons to select Rare, Medium or Well Done.

6. When the time is up, open the appliance and remove the food.

If you wish to continue grilling, start again from step 3. If you open the appliance while it is heating up for more than 10 seconds, the DIY programme is automatically selected. Note: The appliance is able to detect the thickness of the food and automatically adjust the temperature and time. Manual mode

1. Install the grilling plates.

2. Plug in the appliance.

3. Use the button to switch the appliance on.

4. Use the and buttons to select the DIY program and press the button to confirm.

5. Use the and buttons to set the time and temperature.

6. When the time is up, open the appliance and remove the food.

If you wish to continue grilling, start again from step 3. If the appliance is open, only the DIY program can be used. Installing the plates

1. Ensure that the appliance is disconnected from the mains.

2. Position the grill so that the controls are facing you. Lift up the handle and open the grill.

3. Insert the plate into the openings in the covers and press lightly. It will click into place. Repeat the process with the second plate. Removing the plates

1. Ensure that the appliance is disconnected from the mains and has cooled

2. Press the plate release buttons located on the right side and in the middle of

the top front part of the grill.

3. After pressing the button, the plate will pop up slightly out of the base. Lift

the plate up and slide it out of the centre brackets. Repeat the process with the second plate.

4. The plates can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher.

Fully open position (180°) If you want to fully open the grill, press the button (6) on the right side of the handle hinge and push the handle back. Half open position (90°) The grill can be used in a half open position. If you want to half open the grill, simply lift the handle to a fully upright position. The grill will remain in this position until you close it, or open it to the fully open position. Removing the drip tray The grease produced during cooking is drained through small grooves at the back of the plates into a drip tray located at the back of the bottom cover. Clean the drip tray after each use of the appliance, it can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS The appliance is suitable for home use only. Place the appliance out of reach of water and do not use it near a swimming pool. Do not expose the appliance to rain. The appliance must be plugged in. Place the grill on a flat, stable and heat- resistant surface. Before first use

1. Wipe the plates with a damp cloth and dry.

2. Plug in the grill.

3. Use the button to switch the appliance on.

4. Use the and buttons to select the DIY program.

5. Set the temperature to 240 °C, the time to 5-10 minutes and press the button to confirm.

6. After the appliance cools down, insert the drip tray into the back of the appliance and the grill is ready for use.

5. After the appliance heats up, insert the food.

the top front part of the grill.

3. After pressing the button, the plate will pop up slightly out of the base. Lift

the plate up and slide it out of the centre brackets. Repeat the process with the second plate.

4. The plates can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher.

Fully open position (180°) If you want to fully open the grill, press the button (6) on the right side of the handle hinge and push the handle back. Half open position (90°) The grill can be used in a half open position. If you want to half open the grill, simply lift the handle to a fully upright position. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Thoroughly clean each part before and after each use of the appliance.

• After cooking, unplug the power cord and allow the appliance to cool down for at least 30 minutes before further handling.

• Clean grease from the drip tray. The drip tray can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher.

• The plates can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher. Do not use metal objects, such as pot scourers or knives, to clean the appliance. This may damage the non-stick coating of the appliance.

• Use only wooden or plastic kitchenware.

• If you have been cooking seafood, wipe the cooking plate with lemon juice to prevent the seafood flavour from transferring to the next recipe.

• Clean the cover and control knobs only with a soft and dry cloth. Dampen the cloth if there are dried-in spots.

• Never use abrasive cleaning agents.

• Never leave plastic kitchenware in contact with the plates.

• Before storing the appliance, make sure that all its parts are clean and dry.

• Never wrap the cord around the outside of the grill.

• Never immerse plug in water or any other liquid. SERVICE Extensive maintenance or repair, which requires access to internal parts of the product, has to be performed by a qualified service centre. ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS

• Packaging materials and old appliances should be recycled.

• Packaging materials may be disposed of as sorted waste.

• Dispose the plastic bags made of polyethylene (PE) of as sorted waste. Recycling of the appliance at the end of its lifespan This appliance is labelled in accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU concerning used electrical and electronic appliances (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment - WEEE). The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead, it should be taken to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. The disposal of such material has to be done according to the recycling regulations. For more detailed information about recycling of this appliance see the authorized local office or service for household waste disposal or the shop, where you purchased the appliance. The customer shall have the right to a new product (replacement) or to replacement of a part of the product even if the defect can be removed, provided they cannot properly use the product due to repeated occurrence of the defect or due to a high number of such defects. In such a case, the customer also has the right to return the product (by withdrawing from the contract). If the product is not returned (the customer does not withdraw from the contract), or if the customer does not apply the right to a new defect-free product (replacement), to replacement of a part thereof or to repair of the product, they may request a reasonable discount. The customer also has a right to a reasonable discount if a new defect-free product cannot be supplied to them, or if a product part cannot be replaced or the product repaired unless the situation is remedied within a reasonable time limit, or if remedying the situation would create major discomfort on the part of the customer. On returning the product (withdrawing from the contract) the customer must return any accessories and documents supplied along with the product. The customer does not have the right to keep the defective parts and components of the product replaced as part of a repair of the product. Moreover, they are responsible for ensuring the product has the properties the manufacturer described in documents related to the goods or those reasonably expected by the customer with regard to the nature of the goods or based on advertising produced by the manufacturer, and further they are responsible for ensuring the product is fit for the purpose proposed by the manufacturer or that aproduct of the same type is normally used for. The quality warranty term is 24 months from product takeover by the customer. The warranty does not apply to wear and tear caused by regular use. • to malfunctions caused by an inexpert third-party intervention,

• to malfunctions caused by natural disaster,

• to malfunctions caused by insufficient or inappropriate maintenance in violation of the operating manual, including malfunctions caused by water and other sediments,

• to changes in colour of the heating surface or to scratching of the surface caused as a result of using the products in an unusual manner,

• to appearance and functional changes caused by exposure to sunlight, thermal radiation of water and other sediments,
