USER MANUAL RCR3025EBT ROADSTAR

  • INSTRUCTIONS - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the radio is operated. The manual should be retained for future reference.
  • HEED WARNINGS - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
  • WATER AND MOISTURE - The appliance should not be used near liquids or in rooms with a high level of humidity.
  • VENTILATION - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation.
  • HEAT - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or other appliances that produce heat.
  • POWER SOURCE - The radio should be connected to power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
  • POWER CORD PROTECTION - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon/against them.

  • OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY - Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.

  • DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE

The appliance should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:

POWER SOURCES

AC POWER: You can power your portable stereo system by plugging the AC power cord into the AC plug (25) at the back of the unit and into a wall AC power outlet.

Check that the rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage.

Make sure that the AC power cord is fully inserted into the appliance.

BATTERY POWER: To use the radio with batteries, disconnect the AC power cord and insert 4 × "LR20" batteries into the compartment (24).

Be sure that the batteries are inserted correctly to avoid damage to the appliance.

Remove the batteries when the radio will not be used for a long period of time, as this will cause leakage to the batteries and subsequently damage to your radio.

TO USE THE RADIO

  1. Move the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (10) to the desired;
  2. (Please see detailed instructions for each Source in the following chapters);
  3. Adjust the volume with the [VOLUME KNOB] (1) to the desired level;
  4. Move the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (10) to OFF to turn OFF the unit.

Note: When no sound is produced, the unit will switch OFF automat. after 10 minutes

RADIO OPERATION

  1. Set the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (10) to "RADIO" mode;
  2. Select desired band by using the [BAND SELECTOR] (11);
  3. Adjust the frequency to your desired station by using the [TUNING KNOB] (12).

Note: For a better reception, reorient the antenna (3).

TAPE OPERATION

  1. Set the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (10) to "TAPE" mode;
  2. Press STOP/EJECT to open the [CASSETTE DOOR] (22) and insert your tape;
  3. Close the [CASSETTE DOOR] (22);

  1. Press [PLAY] (8) to start playing tape.
  2. Press [PAUSE] (4) when you want to stop playing tape operation temporarily, press again to resume tape operation.
  3. Press [STOP/EJECT] (5) when finished, press again to open the door.
  4. Press [F.FWD] (6) or [RWD] (7) to start rapid tape winding either forward or reverse direction.

CASSETTE RECORDING

The unit can record from Radio, Bluetooth, USB/SD or Built-In microphone.

  1. Insert the cassette into the [CASSETTE SLOT] (22);
  2. Perform normal playback of the source you want to record;
  3. Press the [RECORD] (9) and [PLAY] (8) buttons together to start recording;
  4. Once the record is finished, press the [RECORD] button (9) to stop recording.

USB/SD OPERATION

  1. Set the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (10) to "USB" mode;
  2. Plug an USB / SD stick into the [USB/SD PORT] (26/27);
  3. Playback will start automatically from the first track.

Note: Some mp3 player may not be able to play via the usb socket. this is not a malfunction of the system.

Note: To avoid damage to USB/SD memory, remove it only when the radio is OFF.

DIRECT USB/SD ENCODING

The unit can encode from Radio, Tape or Built-In microphone.

  1. Plug the USB or SD stick into the [USB/SD PORT] (26/27);
  2. Perform normal playback of the source you want to encode & record;
  3. Press the [ENCODING] button (16) to start encoding;
  4. Once the record is finished, press the [ENCODING] button (16) to stop recording.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION

  1. Set the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (10) to "BT" mode;
  2. Press the [MODE] (17) repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode (BLUE LED);
  3. Connect your Bluetooth portable device to the ID Bluetooth tagged as "RCR-3025EBT";
  4. You can now transfer the music to the RCR-3025EBT.

Note: Music control (play, pause, etc) must be done from your external device.
