USER MANUAL 2357FL Flama
English OIL-FILLED RADIATOR SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS Read all instrucons carefully before using the device for the rst me and keep this manual. Any use that does not comply with the instrucons releases FLAMA from all responsibilies. Before each use, make sure that the appliance, the socket and the cable are in good condion. The device must be used under the normal condions of use dened in this manual. CAUTION: To avoid the risk of overheang, NEVER COVER the device. Do not use this heater if it has been dropped; Do not use the heater if there are visible signs of damage; Use this heater on a horizontal, stable surface or hang it on the wall, as applicable. It is advisable to keep the device out of the reach of children under 3 years of age, unless they are accompanied by an adult. Do not place the device under a socket. Do not use this appliance near baths, showers, washbasins or swimming pools.
WARNING: Do not use this heater in small rooms when they
are occupied by persons unable to leave the room on their own iniave, except under constant supervision.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, keep texles, curtains or
other ammable materials at least 1 m away from the air outlet. Do not let water penetrate the device. Do not touch the device with wet hands. Do not insert any type of object inside the device (eg needles, etc.). If the power cord is damaged in any way, it must be replaced by14 www.ama.pt the manufacturer, an authorized Technical Assistance Center or a qualied technician, in order to avoid any danger to the user. To learn more about maintenance and cleaning operaons, see the user guide that comes with the appliance. Children between 3 and 8 years of age must only be able to switch the appliance on or o if it has been placed or installed in the normal operang posion and if children are accompanied or have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and understand all potenal hazards. Children between 3 and 8 years of age must not install, adjust or clean the appliance, or carry out maintenance at the expense of the user. ATTENTION: Some components of the appliance can reach very high temperatures and cause burns. Parcular aenon should be paid to the presence of children and vulnerable people. This appliance can be used by children over 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies, or without experience or knowledge, if these persons are properly supervised or if they have received instrucons regarding the safe use of the appliance and if the possible risks have been assimilated. Children must not use the appliance as a toy. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision. This heater is lled with a precise amount of special oil. Repairs that require opening the oil container should only be done by the manufacturer or its service agent, who should be contacted in the event of an oil leak. The regulaons regarding oil disposal must be followed when disassembling the device. This product complies with the Electromagnec Compability and Low Voltage Direcves. This instrucon manual is also available in PDF format at www. ama.pt.15 English RECOMMENDATIONS The electrical installaon of the part, the installaon of the device and its use must comply with the regulaons in force in your country. Do not use the device near ammable objects and products, and, in general, respect the minimum distance of 50 cm between the device and other objects (walls, curtains, mists, etc.). The appliance must be placed so that the electrical plug is accessible. Do not pull on the power cord or the appliance, even when you want to disconnect the plug from the socket. Never use the appliance leaning or lying on its side. This product is intended for domesc use only. In the event of professional, inappropriate use or use that does not comply with the instrucons, the manufacturer declines all responsibility and the guarantee will be void. Fully unwind the cable before each use. Do not use an extension cord not adapted to the power of the appliance. Do not switch on the appliance in a dusty place or where there is a risk of re. 6. Feet with caster wheels
ASSEMBLING THE WHEELS
Turn the radiator upside down on a safe and stable surface to avoid damaging the paint nish or the oor covering. Place the wheeled feet on the radiator, placing the screws in a U shape between the most external elements on each end of the radiator. Firmly ghten the wheeled feet on the radiator, screwing the washers onto the screws. Note: only for model 2357FL (7 elements), adjust the front set of wheels on the lower part of the front panel with two screws, the other wheels are similar to those described above.
WARNING: only operate the appliance
in the normal, vercal posion, with the feet with the caster wheels mounted to the lower part (wheels on the lower part, controls on the upper part), any other posion can create a dangerous situaon. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Turning on and adjusng the radiator Place the radiator in an upright posion on a horizontal, stable, heat-resistant surface. Make sure that there are no ammable products within a radius of at least one meter. Using the radiator in any other posion can cause danger. Turn the thermostat regulator an- clockwise to the MIN posion and the power selector to the 0 posion. Unwind the power cord and connect the radiator to the mains.16 www.ama.pt Turn the power selector to the desired posion according to the heat required:
- •• - High heat Turn the thermostat regulator clockwise unl it stops (MAX); the indicator light turns on. When the room temperature has risen to a comfortable level, slowly turn the thermostat regulator an-clockwise unl the indicator light goes out. To adjust the room temperature, turn the thermostat regulator clockwise to increase the temperature or an-clockwise to decrease it. Thus, the radiator will try to maintain the ambient temperature at the desired level. Turning o the radiator To turn o the radiator, turn the thermostat control knob counterclockwise to the MIN posion and the power level selector to the 0 posion. The lighted indicator will turn
Unplug the radiator from the power supply and let cool. NOTE: The lighted indicator will remain on only if the temperature is lower than the one established on the thermostat and means that the radiator is heang the room. Tip-over protecon This radiator is protected with a safety switch that will automacally turn o the appliance when it falls over or is placed at an excessively horizontal angle. This helps prevent accidents. The radiator will resume operaon when returned to a vercal posion. Overheang protecon This radiator is equipped with overheang protecon that will automacally turn o the appliance in the event of severe overheang. If this should occur, unplug the appliance, wait for around 30 minutes unl it cools and remove any possible cause of overheang, such as something covering the radiator. Check for any damage to the appliance, power cord and plug. If there are no damages, plug it in again and turn it on as described above. If the radiator sll does not turn on, contact a technical assistance service.17 English
ANOMALIES AND REPAIR
In case of malfuncon, please take the appliance to an authorized Technical Assistance Service. Do not aempt to disassemble or repair the appliance, as this may be dangerous.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
This symbol indicates the separate collecon of electrical and electronic equipment. The main objecve of the separate collecon of this waste is to reduce the quanty to be disposed of, promote re- use, recycling and other forms of recovery in order to reduce its negave eects on the environment. When it is no longer in use, this appliance must not be disposed of together with other unsorted municipal waste. The user is responsible for delivering it free of charge to the selecve collecon facilies available for that purpose. Pieces of equipment that are no longer in use can also be taken back at points of sale, by purchasing new pieces of equipment that are equivalent and have the same funcons. For more detailed informaon on collecon points, please contact your City Council or a point of sale for this equipment.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before performing any kind of cleaning, turn the thermostat control knob counterclockwise to the MIN posion and the power level selector to the 0 posion. Turn o the appliance, unplugging it from the power supply, and let it cool. Clean the outer surface of radiator with a slightly damp cloth. If the appliance is very dirty, use a mild cleaning agent. Dry the appliance with a so and dry cloth. Do not allow water or other liquids to inltrate the interior of the radiator, as this presents a risk of re or short circuit. Do not use detergents or abrasive cleaning products. 1. Keep the proof of purchase (receipt) for this
product carefully. When a repair is made under these condions, the technician will require proof of purchase. This assistance can only be provided once you have proven, with the proof of purchase, that your appliance is within the warranty period.
2. The warranty period for this appliance is dened
by the respecve EU Direcve in force on the date of purchase/delivery.
3. Within the guarantee period, we will repair or
replace, free of charge, any parts which, during the normal use of the appliance, have deteriorated as a result of a proven material or manufacturing defect.
4. This warranty does not cover consumable items,
light bulbs, easily breakable parts made of glass or plasc, or any other defects that do not impair its proper funconing.
5. We accept no liability for damage caused by
incorrect or careless use of the appliance, by its connecon to an electrical current other than that indicated on the appliance’s rang plate, by faulty electrical installaon, or by atmospheric, chemical or electrochemical causes. Other claims or demands for compensaon relang to objects which are not an integral part of the appliance will be denied.
6. The provision of assistance under warranty does not
extend the warranty period. Only within this period will assistance be provided under warranty. The right to assistance is only granted to the rst purchaser of the device and cannot be transferred to a third party.
7. The warranty expires when unauthorized persons
have aempted to repair, modify or replace parts of the appliance.
8. All expenses and risks of transportaon to our
factory or vice versa will always be borne by the buyer. WARRANTY CONDITIONS To benet from the Technical Assistance service during the 36-month warranty period aer the date of purchase, you will need to: Present the Invoice/Proof of Purchase, stang the model and the manufacturing number of the product (whenever possible). Note: Failure to present the aforemenoned documents will be grounds for not providing services under warranty.
