Use the product only as described and only for the given areas of application. Store these instructions for use carefully. When passing the product on to third parties, please also hand over all accompanying documents.

Intended use

If used and worn correctly the protector provides limited protection against the consequences of strong mechanical forces such as those caused by a fall or impact.

For example it can reduce the extent of abrasions and bruising from a fall in the area it protects but it does not provide a guarantee of a complete lack of physical harm!

You can find the correct size for you in the section 'Checking the size'.

Always use the product with suitable clothing and other protective equipment such as a helmet and gloves.

The product has only been tested for private use and in accordance with DIN EN 1621-2:2014 LEVEL 1.

Technical data

This product is available in three sizes.

Check that you have selected the correct product size measured on the length from your waist to your shoulder.

Note! Do not use the product if it does not fit your waist to shoulder length. Exchange it for the correct size - see the section 'Checking the size'.

The product is for the full back area. Protective equipment is worn on the back and aims to reduce the severity of impact injuries in the central back area and in the area of the shoulder blades.

Safety information

• Never leave children with the packaging materials without supervision. There is a risk of suffocation.
• The product does not offer complete protection from injury. This product also does not rule out spinal injuries. Always drive safely and avoid unnecessary risk.

• Make sure the product fits correctly: the protector must be in the middle of your spine and must be fixed in this position using the belt. The product must not impede or distract the wearer. If the product does not fit properly, it does not provide protection and can cause additional damage in the event of an accident! The product only offers a certain level of impact protection to the areas of the body that it covers.

• This product has been tested in accordance with the safety standard DIN EN 16212:2014 and is suitable for use while skiing and snowboarding or while riding a motorcycle.

• Do not carry out modifications to the product as the protection is no longer effective.
• Please ensure that the product is suitable for your body size.
• The removable protector must always be located at the required location during use or the protection will be no longer effective.
• Inspect the product before each use and after every fall for any damage (e.g. damage to seams, belts, padding, plastic parts, etc.). A damaged product does not provide protection and can cause additional damage in the event of an accident. Do not continue to use a damaged product!
• Replace the product with a new one after a fall or if the product is damaged.
  • Always wear the product over clothing but under a jacket in order to fix it more securely to your body.
• Please make sure that the protector is positioned correctly in the product. The product should fit closely to the body and not slip while wearing it.
  • Always drive safely and avoid unnecessary risk.
  • Always wear the product and a helmet when riding a motorcycle, skiing, or snowboarding.
• The product can never provide full protection from injury. It can only reduce the severity of the injury.
• Warning! Soiling, modifications to the product, or incorrect use can be hazardous to the user.
• The product does not prevent spinal injuries.
• Do not use an product that is too large as this can cause dangerous driving conditions in conjunction with the helmet.
• No single size is suitable for all body measurements.

Preventing property damage!

- Do not expose the product to the sun for long periods as this could cause damage to the product.

• The material in the product is sensitive to extreme temperatures. Its properties are compromised in extremely high or extremely low temperatures. The product is intended for use at temperatures between -10 and +23 degrees Celsius.
• Avoid contact with sharp, hot, pointed, or hazardous objects.
• The lifespan of the product depends on its use. However the product should be replaced three years after the date of manufacture (Version: 06/2020) at the latest.

This protector corresponds to Protection Class 1.

- The transferred residual force for all sizes is an average of < 18 kN .

If correctly fitted, the product protects against the consequences of strong mechanical forces, e.g. following a motorbike crash or while skiing or snowboarding. The extent of injury can be reduced by wearing the product. The product does not guarantee physical protection.

The product cannot prevent spinal injury.

Motorcyclists, skiers, and snowboarders are recommended to wear a protector as long as this is not understood as an invitation to carelessness or increased risk tolerance.

The scope of the protection offered by the product remains as long as the original properties are unchanged. No modifications may be carried out or repairs undertaken without consulting the manufacturer.

Checking the size

The product can only fulfil its protective function if you select the correct size, it is fitted correctly and it is undamaged. The manufacturer is not liable for any possible damage or consequences caused by incorrect use or wearing clothing that is not suitable or has only limited suitability for the correct fitting of the protective device.

• Size: XS/S (suitable for heights between approximately 141-157cm), length from waist to shoulder (torso): approx. 400-440mm.
• Size: M (suitable for heights between approximately 157-173cm), length from waist to shoulder (torso): approx. 450-490mm.
• Size: L/XL (suitable for heights between approximately 173-191cm), length from waist to shoulder (torso): approx. 500-540mm.

Protection zones (Fig. A)

The product protects the area shown marked in the figure (1).

If the product differs from its condition upon delivery or if a damaged product is used then sufficient protection is no longer guaranteed.

Measurement of waist to shoulder length (Fig. B)

Waist-shoulder distance (1) – the length as measured on your back from the waistline to the highest point of the connecting line between your shoulder and your neck (Fig. B). The dimensions of the protection zone in relation to the total coverage area of the product are listed below (Fig. C):

A = waist-shoulder distance x 0.72
B = waist-shoulder distance x 0.29
C = waist-shoulder distance x 0.44
D = waist-shoulder distance x 0.29

Putting the product on

Put the product on like a normal waistcoat. Place the belt around the front and close it using the hook-and-loop fastener. Then close the zip fastener.

Important: environmental influences mean that the protective function could be compromised or lost. Please ensure that the product is not subjected to extreme temperature fluctuations or to high levels of humidity.

The product does not offer protection from collision with a vehicle.

High speeds or hard surfaces can compromise the protective function or render it no longer effective.

Care, storage

Do not use aggressive cleaning agents as they can damage the protective device on the product. Leave minor soiling to dry and brush it off the product. In the event of heavy soiling, you can wash the product with a mild detergent.

First remove the large, removable protector from the central back area.

Leave the product to dry out completely after washing before inserting the large, removable protector into the product.

Store the product in a dry and well-ventilated place. Avoid source of excessive heat, windows, doors or glass, and direct sunlight.

Do not expose the product to extreme heat or cold. The product may not be bent or exposed to long-term pressure, e.g. in a suitcase, between hard objects, or in a cupboard.

Disposal

Dispose of the product and the packaging materials in accordance with current local regulations. Packaging materials such as foil bags are not suitable to be given to children. Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children.

Dispose of the products and the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.

The recycling code is used to identify various materials for recycling. The code consists of the recycling symbol - which

is meant to reflect the recycling cycle – and a number which identifies the material.

Notes on the guarantee and service handling

The product was produced with great care and under constant supervision. You receive a three-year warranty for this product from the date of purchase. Please retain your receipt.

The warranty applies only to material and workmanship and does not apply to misuse or improper handling. Your statutory rights, especially the warranty rights, are not affected by this warranty.

With regard to complaints, please contact the following service hotline or contact us by e-mail.

Our service employees will advise as to the subsequent procedure as quickly as possible.

We will be personally available to discuss the situation with you.

Any repairs under the warranty, statutory guarantees or through goodwill do not extend the warranty period. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Repairs after the warranty are subject to a charge.
