General information About this manual This operating manual describes how to safely use and care for your products. Keep this operating manual in a safe place in case you would like to refer to it later. If you pass this item on to someone else, pass on this manual as well. Failure to observe the recommendations in this operating manual can lead to injuries or damage to your product. - Disposal Intended Use The digital timer is designed as a timer for private use. Safety This item can be used by children 8 years of age and above, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the item and understand the dangers that may arise. Children must not play with the item. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are 8 years of age or older and are being supervised. Batteries can be life-threatening. Therefore, keep batteries out of reach of small27 p. 4026
children. If a battery has been swallowed or has entered the body in any other way, seek medical help immediately. Failure to do so within 2 hours may result in severe internal burns that could cause death. DANGER for Children Keep children away from packaging material. Risk of choking if swallowed. RISK of fire/burning and/or explosion There is a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly. Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent battery type. Observe the “Technical Data”. Batteries must not be recharged, reactivated by other means, dismantled, thrown into re, or short-circuited. Otherwise there is an increased risk of explosion and leakage; furthermore, gases may escape!28 Avoid contact of the battery uid with skin, eyes, and mucosa. In case of contact, rinse the aected areas right away with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor immediately. BEWARE of material damage Protect the timer from strong shocks, vibrations, and moisture. Remove the battery from the unit when it is exhausted or when the alarm clock will not be used for a longer period of time. This prevents damage that may be caused by leakage. When inserting and changing batteries, pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-). Do not expose batteries to extreme conditions, for example, by storing them on radiators or under direct sunlight. Increased risk of leakage!29
Clean the battery and device contacts, as needed, before inserting the battery. Use only batteries of the same type. Do not make any changes to the item. Only allow repairs to be carried out at a specialist workshop. Scope of Delivery Timer Battery type CR2032, 3 V Operating Manual Start-up Removing iso-strips When the scales are delivered, the battery is already inserted and fitted with iso-strips to prevent it from discharging ahead of time. In order to make the timer operational, you have to remove the iso-strip.
1. Remove the battery compartment cover and
then remove the iso-strip.
2. Replace the battery compartment cover.
As soon as the timer has been supplied with current, a bleep can be heard and “00” appears on the display.32 Inserting/changing batteries For use, you need a CR2032, 3V battery.
1. Remove the battery compartment cover and
then remove the old battery.
2. Slide the new battery against the contact
spring under the square retaining tabs and press them down. Observe the correct polarity (+/-). The plus pole (+) must point upwards.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Notes on changing the battery: Be sure to change the battery if the display shows nothing after pressing start/stop. Only use the battery type specified in the “Technical Data”. Dispose of old batteries in an environmentally friendly manner, see “Disposal”.33
Securing the timer NOTE on material damage Do not slide the timer over the surface as this could cause scratches. − Attach the timer with the magnets on its back to a metallic surface, for example, a fridge door. Using the timer When timing, you start a countdown.
2. Use the setting ring to set the desired
time. (max. settable time: 99 minutes and 50seconds).34 The setting ring can be turned counter- clockwise or clockwise.
3. Press start/stop to start the countdown.
When the set time has elapsed, beeps will sound for one minute.
4. Press start/stop or reset to interrupt beeps,
or wait one minute for the beeps to stop automatically. When beeping auto stop is enabled, timing will not stop and will appear as + time on the display.35
The countdown can be interrupted and resumed using start/stop. Press reset briey to reset the display to “00”. In this case, the countdown must be stopped. Using the stopwatch function

timer, if necessary (display indication is “00”).
2. Press start/stop to start, interrupt, and
resume the measurement.
3. Press start/stop and then press reset briefly
to stop the measurement. The display will show “00” again.36 Switching off the timer

2. Press and hold down reset for approx. three
seconds. If the timer is not used for approx. one minute, it will switch off automatically to save the battery. Cleaning NOTE on material damage Do not immerse the timer in water or other liquids. Do not use rough, scratching or abrasive cleaning agents. − If necessary, remove dust with a soft, dry cloth, or wipe with a slightly damp cloth.37
