The general gas system, hose, regulator, fitting, connections and burner must be inspected for leaks or damage before use, and at least before each season of use. Check that the regulator and rubber tube are properly installed with the clamps. Turn off the gas supply to the cylinder when the stove is not in use. If you smell gas: - Turn off the stove and close the gas cylinder. - Extinguish any flames or ignition sources and ventilate the room. - If the odor persists, contact technical support. This instruction manual belongs to the appliance and should be kept in a safe place. These instructions must be passed on to the new owner in the event of a change of ownership.
POSITION AND LOCATION
This heater is for outdoor use only and is covered. Make sure it has sufficient ventilation. Maintain a safe distance between the stove and combustible materials. Recommended: 100 cm (top) and 100 cm (side) minimum. The stove should be placed on firm, level ground. To protect the stove from strong winds, secure the base to the ground with screws. GAS CHARACTERISTICS Use only butane or propane. We strongly recommend using propane, as it has a lower freezing point, making it suitable for outdoor appliances. The regulator and rubber hose with clamps must comply with the currentPHE 86
regulations of each country. Installation must comply with local regulations. In the absence of these regulations, it must be carried out in accordance with the standard for storage and use of Liquefied Petroleum Gases. A cracked, rusted, or damaged cylinder can be dangerous and should be checked by the manufacturer or supplier. Never use a cylinder with a damaged valve. LEAK TEST The stove's gas connections have been pre-tested by the manufacturer prior to shipment. A safety check must be performed during installation at the place of use to prevent loosening of parts due to shipping. Make a soapy solution of one part water and one part soap. The soapy solution can be applied with a spray bottle, a brush, or a rag. Soap bubbles will appear in the event of a leak. The stove must be tested with a full cylinder. Ensure the control is in the off position. Turn on the gas supply to the regulator. In the event of a leak, turn off the gas supply to the regulator. Tighten the connections with the appropriate clamps. Turn the gas supply back on to check again. Repeat until the leak disappears. Do not smoke during the leak test.
1. Open the gas supply to the cylinder regulator.
2. Press and turn the control knob to the PILOT position (90º counterclockwise).
3. Push the control knob all the way in and hold for 60 seconds. Press the ignition button while holding it
down until you hear a steady click. Repeat until the pilot light ignites. Note: If you have just changed the cylinder, hold the control knob in the PILOT position for at least one minute to bleed air from the gas lines. The control knob can be released after the pilot light is lit. If the pilot light does not light or goes out, repeat step 3.
4. After lighting the pilot light, turn the control knob to the maximum position and hold for 5 minutes or
more before turning the control knob to the desired temperature position.
