GENERAL:

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or appropriate training concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Remove all packaging materials.

Before first use, turn the hob to the highest setting and heat it for several minutes. This will burn off any residue left over from manufacturing. Some odour and smoke may develop during this process, ensure there is good ventilation and this should disappear after a few minutes of use.
IMPORTANT! This should be the only time the hotplate is turned on without a cookware on it.
OPERATION
For most efficient operation, the cookware used should have a solid, even base, a diameter of approximately 15cm to 17cm and a maximum capacity of 1L. Cookware with a base smaller than the diameter of the boiling ring should not be used.

Cookware, regardless of size, should not extend beyond the boiling ring or encroach into the area of close proximity to the controls.

Utensils with convex, concave or irregular bottoms should not be used.

Place the electric plate on a smooth, dry and heat-resistant surface.

Set the thermostat knob to the "O" position.

Plug the cord into the power outlet.

Select the desired temperature using the thermostat knob.

The heating element will start to heat up immediately. During use of the plate, metal surfaces will become hot. Avoid touching them.

Once you have finished using it, unplug the cable and allow the appliance to cool down.
IMPORTANT: When not in use, always turn the temperature control knob to the "0" position and unplug from the power outlet.
NOTE: The power indicator will turn off when the appliance reaches the selected temperature.
CLEANING

Unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow the heating plates to cool completely.

Do not immerse the appliance in any liquid.

Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces.

Clean the painted surface with a soft, damp cloth.

Baking marks can be removed with a mild kitchen cleaner or a cloth dampened with a mild detergent.

Wipe with a dry cloth or paper towel and allow to dry completely.
NOTE: If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician to avoid a hazard, or the product must be discarded.
MAINTENANCE
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not operate the unit if it appears damaged in any way. Do not attempt to service the unit yourself. Any maintenance that requires disassembly of the appliance, other than cleaning, should be performed by a qualified appliance repair technician.
STORAGE
Unplug the heating plate. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.
