The mower should be thoroughly cleaned after each use. In particular, the underside and the spindle. Keep protective devices, air vents and motor hous- ings as free of dust and dirt as possible. NOTE Before tipping the product, empty the fuel tank com- pletely using a petrol suction pump (not included in the scope of delivery). The product must not be tilted more than 90 degrees.
- It is best to tilt the mower backwards. Make abso- lutely sure that the spark plug (6) is pointing up- wards. If the spark plug (6) is pointing downwards, oil can leak out and cause major damage to the engine and carburettor.
- Alternatively, you can tilt the appliance on its side, but you must ensure that the air lter (8) is on the upper side.
- Clean the underside of the product with a spatu- la and hand brush. The spatula helps to remove coarse and larger plant residues from the cutting line area. Cleaning the underbody is easier and more thorough immediately after use. Then dirt and plant residues are still fresh and can be loosened more easily. Grass residues and dirt that have dried on can impair mowing.
- Rub the product clean with a clean cloth or blow it o with compressed air at low pressure.
- Clean the product at regular intervals using a damp cloth. Do not use any cleaning products or solvents; they could attack the plastic parts of the product. Make sure that no water can penetrate the interior of the product.
