Do not insert the network adapter plug into a power socket yet.30 Aroma-Diffuser HM 1902 Filling with water NOTE on material damage − Only use water soluble aromas.

2. Fill the tank with distilled water or cold, fresh drinking

water using a measuring jug. If desired, add a few drops of aroma essence. Maximum lling capacity: 300 ml. Do not overll the tank. Pay attention to the maximum ll level indicator around the tank. Do not use warm water. Observe the manufacturer's instructions when adding an aroma essence.

3. Replace the lid. Do not operate the device without

the lid being placed on top.31 Aroma-Diffuser HM 1902 English Making the electrical connection − Insert the network adapter plug into an easily accessible power socket. As soon as the device is supplied with power, a beep will sound and the device can be used. Use Each push of a button is confirmed with a beep. Switching vaporisation on and off

1. Press the MIST button.

2. Select the desired time period by repeatedly pressing

MIST: 1H = The device will turn itself off after an hour. 3H = The device will turn itself off after three hours. 6H = The device will turn itself off after six hours. ON = The device operates continuously.

3. To turn off the device, repeatedly press MIST until the

button lighting goes off and no more mist comes out of the nebuliser port. Select vaporisation intensity

1. Switch on the device using the MIST button and select

the desired time period.

2. Hold down the MIST button until you hear 2beeps. The

3. To reset the device normal power, hold down MIST

again until you hear 1beep. Turn lighting on and off The lighting and vaporisation operate independently.

1. Select the desired colour and brightness by repeatedly

2. Switch off the lighting by repeatedly pressing LIGHT

until you hear 2beeps and the light goes off or hold down LIGHT for a few seconds. Important usage information Auto-stop function If you switch on the device with an empty tank, 3beeps will sound. If the tank becomes empty during use, 3beeps will also sound and the device will turn o automatically (as well as the light). In both cases, proceed as described in “Filling with water”. Accidental overturning If the device accidentally overturns while in operation, or if it is knocked, proceed as follows to avoid malfunctions:

1. Disconnect the device from the mains power.

3. Remove the remaining water from the tank.33

4. Hold the device over a washbasin or hand towel and

shake it carefully. The underside of the device has openings from which the remaining water can drip off.

5. Allow the opened device to air dry for at least 24hours

before operating it again. Changing the aroma essence − Clean the device before adding another aroma essence (see “Cleaning”). After use

1. Disconnect the device from the mains power.

2. Store the device in a cool, dry place.

3. When not in use for a long time: Remove the remaining

water from the device and clean it (see “Cleaning”). Cleaning Electric shock HAZARD The device and the network adapter cable or network adapter plug must not come into contact with liquids or be submerged in water or other liquids. 1. Disconnect the device from the mains power and

2. Pour the remaining water out of the tank.

Proceed as shown in the illustration on the left. This prevents water from accidentally entering the air intake on the underside of the device.

3. Use a soft, damp cloth and a gentle cleaning agent to

clean the tank and also the outside of the device.

4. Wipe the surfaces dry with a soft cloth.

If the tank already has a build-up of lime scale, you can use a mild descaling agent, e.g. citric acid.

1. Stir the descaling agent according to the

manufacturer's instructions.

2. Pour a small amount into the tank and allow the liquid

to take effect for a few minutes.

3. Pour away the descaling agent and rinse several times

with clear water. Make sure that no descaling agent remains in the tank.35 Aroma-Diffuser HM 1902 English Fault/Remedy Fault Possible cause No function. Connected to power? Three beeps sound when switching on (no function). The tank is empty. Fill the tank with water. Light and vaporisation stop, 3beeps sound. The tank is empty. Fill the tank with water. Poor or unusual vapour. Is the lid properly seated on the device? Is the nebuliser port free? Has the tank been cleaned properly? Check the air intake on the underside of the device. Water splashes around the device. Is the lid properly seated on the device?
