5.1 Safety instructions regarding batteries
WARNING!
Fatal danger!
Batteries must not be swallowed! There is a risk of fatal injuries!
- Batteries may be fatal if swallowed, so this article and ist batteries must be stored out of the reach of small children.
Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, soft tissue perforations and death. Serious internal chemical burns can already occur within 2 hours of ingestion.
If a battery has been swallowed, please consult a doctor without delay!
Keep the batteries out of the reach of children.

Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries, do not short-circuit and/or open them. This may result in overheating, risk of fire or bursting.
- Keep the product away from heat sources and direct sunlight, the batteries may explode if overheated. There is a risk of injury.

Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands! There is a risk of injury!
- Leaked or damaged batteries may cause chemical burns if they come into contact with skin. Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands; therefore ensure that you wear appropriate protective gloves in this case!
Insert the batteries into the designated battery compartment with the correct polarity.
Do not use combinations of old and new batteries or rechargeable batteries.
Store batteries in a dry and cool, not damp, place. Never throw batteries into fire.
Do not short-circuit batteries.
Disposable batteries also lose part of their energy
during storage.
- Remove the batteries if the device is not in use.
- Discharged batteries must be immediately removed in order to avoid battery leakage and thus damage to the device.
Empty batteries or used rechargeable batters must be disposed of properly. - Store disposable batteries separately from discharged batteries, in order to avoid mix-ups.

- Leaked or damaged batteries may cause acid burns if they come into contact with skin. Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands; therefore, ensure that you wear appropriate protective gloves in such a case!

- This product has a built-in rechargeable battery that cannot be replaced by the user. In order to avoid hazards, the battery may only be removed by the manufacturer orist service agent or by a similarly qualified individual.
- When disposing of the product, please note that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

6. Start-up
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Check whether all parts are available and undamaged.
If this is not the case, notify the specified service address.
Before start-up
Charge the battery
The battery of the product must be charged fully with the included USB charging cable 2 before the first use.
Charging using the USB charging cable 2 can only take place in interior spaces, as otherwise the IP44 protection is not guaranteed.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
The product must not be charged in a damp environment. There is a risk of injury from electric shock!
During charging, no IP44 protection exists with the connection between the product and USB charging cable. The product can only be charged in a dry environment.
NOTE!
For easy charging of the battery, it can be removed from the product, together with the LED module, see Fig. B.
- Turn the unit 4 clockwise out of the battery and LED module on the underside of the product.
- Remove the unit
Connect the unit 4 using the USB charging cable to a device with appropriate technical data (e.g. mains power adapter with USB port).
1. Open the protective cap on the underside of the unit 4, see Fig. C.
2. Plug in the USB-micro plug 2G of the USB charging cable 2 into the socket 6 of the unit 4.
3. Insert the USB plug into the charging device.
NOTE!
When the red charging lamp is on, the side of the unit 1 goes out, the battery is fully charged, see Fig. B.
NOTE!
The charging lamp is installed in the product. It only lights up through the material and is only seen as a red illumination.
NOTEI
The battery is equipped with overcharging protection.
1. Disconnect the unit 41 from the charging device and remove the USB microplug23.
2. Close the protective cap on the underside of the product.
NOTE!
Make sure that the protective cap is closed tightly. This is the only way to ensure protection from splashing water.
- Turn the unit 4 clockwise back into the product.
7. Operation
7.1 Operation on the product (C1)
7.1.1 Switching the product on/off
To switch on/off, press and hold the ON/OFF COLOR button for approx. 2 seconds.
When switching on the product, this automatically switches to the colour mode.
By pressing the ON/OFF COLOR button again, you can switch through the colour change program FLASH1, FLASH2, SMOOTH and FADE.
No fixed colours can be set!
7.2 Operation with the infrared remote
control
7.2.1 Activating the infrared remote control (C2)
The infrared remote control battery is protected against discharging with a film [c] when delivered. Pull it out as shown before using it for the first time. The infrared remote control is now ready for use.
7.2.2 Switching options with the infrared remote control (C3)
ON = Switch product on [The product is fitted with a memory function: When switching on, the product automatically switches to the lost mode used.] OFF = product switch off
R-red,G-green,B-blue,W-white+12 mixed colours = direct colour selection, single-colour mode FLASH1 = automatic colour change mode,3 colours
FLASH2 = automatic colour change mode, 7 colours
SMOOTH = Gradual colour change
FADE = automatic fading on and off, 3 colours
ARROW UP/DOWN = Dual function:

- In single-colour mode: Increase/reduce brightness, 6 levels
- In colour-change mode: Increase/decrease colour change speed
WARNING!
Due to the extremely fast speed of the light change, sight impairments could occur under certain circumstances with children or people who have a disorder (e.g. due to psychological disorders).
8. Replacing the infrared remote control battery (D)
If your infrared remote control no longer functions, it may be that the battery is empty and must be replaced.
To replace the infrared remote control 3 battery, proceed as follows:
- Push the battery compartment lock inward as shown.
- Pull out the battery compartment as shown, and remove the depleted battery.
- Insert a new battery into the battery compartment as shown.
NOTE!
Only use type CR2025 batteries. Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting a new battery. (For information on how to dispose of used batteries, see Chapter "12. Disposal".)
4. Push the battery compartment back into the infrared remote control until you hear it click into place. Your infrared remote control is now ready for use again.
9. Storage
NOTE!
If you do not intend to use the product in the winter, we recommend storing it. This way, the service life will be extended of the installed rechargeable battery and battery.
1. Clean the product as described under "10. Clean
ing and care instructions".
- Remove the battery from the infrared remote control
- If available, wrap the product in bubble wrap or similar.
- Store the product in a dry, warm place that is protected from UV light.
- Store the infrared remote control with the removed battery in a place that is not accessible for children.

12. Disposal
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging and operating instructions are made of 100% environmentally friendly materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling centres.
Disposal of the product
The product may not be disposed of with normal household waste. Please find out about disposal options for the product from your local authority or lawn administration.
Disposal of the battery / rechargeable

Defective or used rechargeable batteries have to be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amend
ments.

After use, you can either return batteries to our point of sale or in the direct vicinity e.g. with a retailer or in municipal collection centres free of charge. Batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with a crossedout waste bin.
13. Warranty
Warranty from TRADIX GmbH & Co. KG
Dear customer, the warranty on this product is 3 years from the purchase date. In the event of defects in this product, you are entitled to exercise your statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not limited by our warranty described in the following.
14.Warranty conditions
The warranty begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt. This document is required as verification of the purchase.
If a material or manufacturing defect arises within three years from the purchase date of this product, the product will be repaired or replaced, as per our choice, at no charge to you. This warranty service requires the submission of the purchase receipt and the defective product within the three-year period and a short written description of the defect and when it arose.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. The warranty period does not restart with the repair or replacement of the product.
Guarantee period and statutory claims for defects
The guarantee period will not be extended by the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects which may possibly already exist upon purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. After the guarantee period has expired, required repairs shall be subject to a charge.
Scope of guarantee
The device has been carefully produced under strict quality guidelines and conscientiously inspected prior to delivery. The guarantee service applies to material or manufacturing faults. This guarantee does not extend to product parts, which are exposed to normal wear and tear and can therefore be regarded as wearing parts or to damage to fragile parts, e.g.
switches, battery packs or which are made of glass. This guarantee shall lapse, if the product is damages, not used properly or maintained properly. For proper use of the product, all of the instructions in the operating instructions must be precisely complied with. Purposes and actions, which are dissuaded from or warned about in the operating instructions must be avoided.
The product is only intended for private and not commercial use. In the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and with interventions, which are not performed by our authorised service branch, the guarantee shall lapse.
