What types of batteries can I charge with the PLG 20 B1?

The PLG 20 B1 charger is compatible only with Parkside X20 V-Team batteries, including models PAP 20 B1, PAP 20 B2, PAP 20 B3, PAPS 204 A1 and PAPS 208 A1. Never charge non-rechargeable batteries.

How to interpret the charging indicators?

The steady red light indicates that the battery is charging. The steady green light means the battery is fully charged. If both lights flash, the battery is defective. If only the red light flashes, the battery is too cold or too hot. The steady green light without a battery indicates the charger is ready.

Can I leave the battery charging overnight?

Yes, you can leave the battery charging safely. The charger stops automatically when the battery is full. The manual states that interrupting the charging process does not damage the battery.

What to do if the red LED flashes?

A single red flash indicates the battery is too hot or too cold. Remove the battery and let it return to a temperature between +4 and +40 °C before recharging.

How to clean the charger?

Unplug the charger before cleaning. Use a dry cloth to clean the exterior surfaces. For ventilation openings, use a soft brush. Do not use chemical or abrasive products, and avoid liquid entering the interior.

Can I use the charger outdoors?

No, the PLG 20 B1 charger is designed for indoor use only in dry rooms. Protect it from moisture and do not expose it to rain.

How to mount the charger on the wall?

The charger can be fixed to the wall using the two mounting holes underneath the device. Drill two holes 76.2 mm apart, insert wall plugs and screw in round head screws (diameter 7-8 mm) leaving the head protruding about 8 mm. Then hang the charger by the holes.

What to do if the charger does not work?

First check that the mains socket is powered and the power cord is not damaged. If the problem persists, contact Parkside after-sales service at 0800904879 (France) or by email at [e-mail]. Have your receipt and IAN number ready.

What is the warranty period of the charger?

The warranty is 3 years from the date of purchase. It covers material and manufacturing defects, but not normal wear. Keep the receipt as proof of purchase.

Can I charge batteries of other brands?

No, the charger is exclusively designed for Parkside X20 V-Team batteries. Charging other types of batteries can be dangerous and damage the device. Follow the safety instructions.

This product is exclusively intended for charging Parkside 20 V batteries of X 20 V Team series.

The product is not intended for commercial use. Any other usage or modification of the product is deemed to be improper and carries a significant risk of accidents. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage(s) attributable to misuse.

Operation

● Charging the battery pack

i INFO:

The battery pa1 may be charged at any time without reducing the service life.
- Interrupting the charging process does not damage the battery pack.
- Charge the battery pa1 before use when it is at medium or low charging level.

1. Insert the battery pack 1 into the charger 3.
2. Connect the mains plug 2 to a socket-outlet.
3. When the battery pack is fully charged, remove the battery pack from the charger. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket-outlet.

Charging status

The charging control LEDs (green 5 and red 4) indicate the status of the charger 3 and the battery pack 1 (Fig. A):

- When drilling, be careful not to damage any supply lines. Use suitable search devices to find the supply lines or consult the installation plan for guidance.

■ Contact with electrical cables can lead to electric shock and fire.
- Contact with a gas pipe can result in an explosion.
■ Damage to a water pipe can lead to property damage and electric shock.

INFO:

The charg 3 can be used either free-standing or mounted on the wall.

1) Drill 2 holes in the wall with a spacing of 76.2 mm.
2) Place 2 dowels into the holes.
3) Screw 2 round-head screws with screw head diameter of 7 to 8 mm into the dowels. Leave the screw head protruding at a distance of approx.

8 mm from the wall.

4) Hang the charger 3 on the screws using the mounting holes 6 located on the underside of the charger (Fig. B). The charging control LEDs (green 5 and red 4) have to be located on the lower end of the charger when the charger is mounted on the wall.

● Cleaning and care

NOTICE! RISK OF DAMAGE!

- Do not use chemical, alkaline, abrasive or other aggressive detergents or disinfectants to clean this product as they might be harmful to its surfaces.

- Regular and proper cleaning will help ensure safe use and prolong the service life of the product. - Never allow fluids to get into the product.

- Keep the product clean, dry and free from oil or grease. Remove debris from it after each use and before storage.

□ Clean the product with a dry cloth. Use a soft brush for areas that are hard to reach.

□ Always keep the vents clear. Clean the air vents after every use with a cloth and soft brush.

● Disposal

The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials, which may be disposed of through your local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fibreboard/80–98: composite materials.

Product:

The product and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility.

Dispose them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment.

Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.

This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
