How to set up the Teddytour cot?

Remove the cot from the bag, unfold the structure by spreading the legs, then lift the joints of the short sides then the long sides until they click into place. Then push the base down until a click indicates it is locked.

Can I use a different mattress than the one provided?

No, you must use only the mattress sold with the cot. Adding another mattress poses a risk of suffocation.

How to clean the travel cot?

Wash the cot with warm water and a mild detergent using a sponge. Never use corrosive products (ammonia, bleach, alcohol).

Up to what age can my child use this cot?

The cot is designed for children from birth up to 4 years. As soon as the child can climb out of the cot, it should no longer be used.

What to do if the cot does not lock?

Check that the joints are properly engaged and that the base is raised before locking the arms. If the base is locked, the arms will not fold into place; lift the base and close the arms.

Is the cot guaranteed?

Yes, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. offers a 12-month conventional warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, but not damage due to incorrect use.

Can I move the cot with my child inside?

No, it is strictly forbidden to move the cot with the child inside. This poses a risk of falling or injury.

How to fold the cot after use?

First remove the mattress. Lift the central part using the strap (about 10 cm below the edges). Press the unlock buttons on each side, then fold the edges down. Close the cot and roll the mattress around it, fasten the Velcro straps and store in the bag.

Is the cot safe for a newborn?

Yes, provided all safety mechanisms are engaged: joints locked, base in horizontal position, mattress securely attached. Always supervise the child and never leave objects that could serve as a foothold or cords nearby.

Can I use the cot without the mattress?

No, never use the travel cot without the mattress. The mattress is essential for the child's safety and comfort.

1. Remove the cot from the carry bag and undo the Velcro fasteners at the side of the base.
2. Open out the frame by extending the legs.
3. First pull up the hinge locks on the short sides until they snap into place and then repeat with the ones on the long sides. Make sure the hinges are locked into place. The long and short sides must not bend when they are pressed down.
4. NOTE: to facilitate fastening of the side joints, make sure the bottom of the cot has been raised.
5. Press the central part of the cot down, a click will indicate that it has been successfully locked into place.

IMPORTANT: the base of the cot must not be pushed down until the rails are locked into place, as the base forms the safety lock. The arms will not lock into place when the safety lock is engaged; in that case, you will need to pull up the base and lock the arms again.

2. Place the mattress on the bottom of the cot, insert the strips through the slots, present on the base, and attach the Velcro to the underside of the base to fix the mattress in place.

NOTE: Before using the cot, make sure that the 4 sides are correctly fastened and that the bottom is in the horizontal position.

CLOSING

1. First remove the mattress and lift the central part of the cot as high as possible by pulling the strap (A) raise the central part to about 10cm below the lateral sides.
2. Press button (A) on each side to release the locking device, positioned at the middle of the side and keeping it pressed, gently lift the side to release the locking device. While still holding the button (A), fold the side toward the base.
3. Fold the cot and wrap the mattress around it. Secure with the Velcro fasteners.
4. Place the cot in the bag.

WARNING! The cot must only be assembled by an adult.
- IMPORTANT: To assemble the cot correctly, carry out the assembly operations in the order shown. Incorrect assembly could make the cot unsafe.
- WARNING: The cot is intended for use for children aged between birth up to 4 years of age.
- WARNING: Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc. in the near vicinity of the cot.
- WARNING! Do not use the cot if any part is broken, torn or missing and use only spare parts approved by the manufacturer.
- WARNING! Do not leave anything in the cot or place the cot close to another product, which could provide a foothold or present a danger of suffocation or strangulation, e.g. strings, blind/curtain cords.
WARNING: Do not use more than one mattress in the cot.
- The product is ready for use only when the locking mechanisms are engaged. Make sure they are securely engaged before use.
- All assembly fittings should always be tightened properly. Check them regularly and tighten if necessary.
- WARNING: To avoid a risk of falling, the cot must not be used when baby can climb out of it.
- WARNING: Only use the mattress sold with this cot, do not add a second mattress on this one, suffocation hazards.
- WARNING: Do not use the travel cot without the mattress.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Wash the travel cot with a sponge, warm water and a mild detergent. You may also use a non-harsh disinfectant. Never wash the travel cot with corrosive products that contain or are derived from ammonia, bleach or alcohol. The movable parts can be lubricated with silicone-based oil.

The contents of this document as stated below will come into effect as from 01.01.2005 and replace, on every account and in full, any previous message referring to the guarantee provided by Foppa Pedretti S.p.A.

FORMAL GUARANTEE

Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. the head office of which is located at n. 11 Via Volta, Grumello del Monte (Italy), guarantees directly to the Consumer that this brand new product is free of faults with regard to the materials, design and manufacture and that it complies with the characteristics as declared by the manufacturer.

This formal guarantee is valid in all Member Countries of the European Union and it neither excludes nor limits the Consumer's rights in accordance with mandatory measures provided for by the law with regard to the Retailer of the Product.

To take advantage of this formal guarantee, the Consumer must return the faulty product to the Retailer, presenting to the same the proof of purchase of the Product which must clearly show the Retailer's address, the date of purchase of the Product with the Retailer's stamp and signature and an indication of the Product itself or, alternatively, the receipt which must not have been altered and which must clearly show the same information as that referred to above. The formal guarantee is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase of the Product. During this period, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. will repair or replace the faulty product, at its own discretion. The formal guarantee is granted to the end buyer of the Product (Consumer) and it neither excludes nor limits the mandatory rights of the Consumer as provided for by the law and/or the rights that the Consumer may have with regard to the Dealer/ Retailer of the Product.

EXCLUSIONS TO THE FORMAL GUARANTEE.

The formal guarantee is excluded in the case of damage caused to the Product for the following reasons: if the product is used in a way that does not comply with the information contained in the use and assembly instruction sheet, if the product is knocked or dropped, if the Product is exposed to humidity or extreme heat or environmental conditions, or to sudden changes in the same, corrosion, oxidization, unauthorized alterations or repairs to the Product, repairs using unauthorised spare parts, improper use, improper maintenance or failure to carry out the same, improper maintenance compared to the information given on the use and assembly instruction sheet, incorrect assembly, accidents, damage caused by food or drink, damage caused by chemical products, cases of force majeure.

In any case, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declines all responsibility for damage caused to persons or to property, other than the Product, when such damage is caused by a failure to comply with the instructions/advice/warnings cont a ined in the manua I or, alternatively, in the use and assembly instruction sheet provided with each Product for the owner/user. (Purely as an example, in the case of a cot : "Check your baby constantly. Make sure that the sheets and blankets do not cover the baby's head...").

Furthermore, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declines all responsibility for damage to persons and to property when the breakage of its products is due to a deterioration in the components of the Product that are subject to wear. All the components of the Product made of plastic are considered to be components subject to wear.
