How to install the D-Link E15 repeater?

Plug the repeater into a socket near your router, wait for the LED to blink orange, then connect to the temporary Wi-Fi network (SSID and password on the label) and open http://WXYZdevicessetup.net/ in a browser. Follow the on-screen instructions. You can also use the D-Link Wi-Fi app by scanning the QR code.

What to do if the repeater's LED remains orange?

An orange LED indicates a weak signal between the repeater and the router. Move the repeater closer to the router and make sure it is in an open area. If the LED turns green, the connection is good.

How to change the Wi-Fi network name and password?

Access the settings via the D-Link Wi-Fi app (Wi-Fi section) or via the web configuration utility by going to Settings > Extender. You can change the SSID and security key there.

How to reset the repeater to factory settings?

Press and hold the Reset button located on the bottom of the repeater with a paperclip for at least 10 seconds. The status LED turns red, then the repeater restarts with default settings.

What if I forgot the administrator password?

Perform a factory reset (see previous question). This will erase all settings, including the administrator password.

Why is the Wi-Fi connection slow or unstable?

Check the distance between the repeater and the router. A weak signal (orange LED) reduces the speed. Try placing the repeater closer to the router. Note that devices connected to the repeater may have lower speed than those directly connected to the router.

Is the repeater compatible with all routers?

Yes, the D-Link E15 is designed to work with most standard WiFi routers (802.11b/g/n). It is recommended to check compatibility on the D-Link website.

How to update the repeater's firmware?

Log into the repeater's web interface (http://WXYZdevicessetup.net/) and look for a firmware update option in the settings. You can also check for updates via the D-Link Wi-Fi app.

Can I use the repeater with a 5 GHz network?

The D-Link E15 is a single-band 2.4 GHz repeater. It does not support the 5 GHz band. It only extends the 2.4 GHz signal.

Tap Install New Device. Tap Scan the QR code. Scan the code on the Quick Installation Card provided in the packaging of your product. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

OPTION 2 WEB BROWSER SETUP

1 Plug the extender into a power source close to your router.

1. Wait for the Power LED of the extender to start blinking amber.

Note: Please refer to the User Manual for device specific LED behaviour.

3 Connect your computer to the Wi-Fi name and password printed on the Quick Installation Card, or on the device label of the device.

4 Type http://WXYZdevicessetup.net/ into the address bar of a web browser. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

One amber bar indicates a weak signal. Move your extender closer to your router to improve signal quality. Make sure that your extender is placed in an open environment.

Place the extender in range of your router. Check the LED indicator on your extender to ensure a proper connection. White bars indicate a strong signal.

Why can't I connect to my wireless router or my wireless connection drops?

Verify that your extender is within range of your router. Try plugging it into a location closer to the router and verify the Signal LED is solid White. Note that when extending a wireless signal from a router or access point, devices connected to the extender will not get the same speed/throughput as when connected directly to the router.

How do I change the wireless settings on my extender?

To change your Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and modify the security (Wi-Fi password), access the wireless settings via:

• The Wi-Fi section in the settings menu of the D-Link Ai app or
• Access the web-based configuration utility > Settings > Extender.

What if I forgot my extender's Admin password or want to reset my extender?

If you forgot your Admin password or want to reset your extender back to the factory default settings, press and hold the reset button on the bottom of the extender using a paper clip and release after a minimum of 10 seconds. The Status LED will turn red.
