WARNING: When in the walker, your child may be able to extend their reach and move around more quickly than before:

1. prevent access to stairs, steps and uneven surfaces;
2. protect all sources of fire and devices for heating and for cooking;
3. remove boiling liquids, flexible electric cables and other potential threats;
4. prevent collisions with glass panes in doors, windows and furniture;
5. Do not use the walker if components are damaged or missing;
6. this walker should only be used for short periods of time (for example 20 mins.).
7. this walker is intended to be used by children who can sit alone unaided, from around 6 months of age. Not intended for use by children who know how to walk unaided or who weigh more than 12kg

8. Do not use spare parts other than those approved by the manufacturer or distributor.

9. Do not use the walker with children who are unable to stand and sit up alone.

10. Keep plastic bags and all packaging components away from children to avoid danger of suffocation.
    The product must be assembled by an adult.
11. Check that the walker is assembled correctly and that the upper tray is properly locked.
12. Make sure that the child is always under your supervision when using the walker.
13. Before use, check all the locking systems.
    Before use, check that the seat is correctly adjusted for the height of your child: your child's feet must touch the floor.
14. Keep children away when adjusting the walker, when mounting accessories or when not in use.
15. Do not allow your child to approach open fires, heating appliances or any product which may cause burns.
    The base of the walker has an anti-slip device, to ensure that it locks when near to stairs or steps.
16. For safety reasons, never let your child go near stairs or steps that do not have a safety gate, or roads or the edges of a swimming pool, as there is a risk of serious harm or death.
17. Use only inside the house.
18. Does not have brakes, do not use on slopes.
19. Do not leave any objects or cables on the floor, as these may cause the walker to overturn.
20. Do not allow your child to pour liquids onto the musical device as it may short-circuit.
21. Do not carry out any modification that could compromise its safety.
22. Do not use spare parts other than those approved by the manufacturer or distributor.
23. Check regularly that the walker is operating correctly and that there are no damaged or broken components.
24. Do not use the walker if a component is damaged, broken or missing.
25. Do not carry the walker with your child inside it.
26. Do not make adjustments with your child inside the walker.
27. Never lift the walker up gripping it by the musical game.
28. To preserve its effectiveness, clean the anti-slip device regularly with a damp cloth.
29. Do not use the walker if one or all of the non-slip devices are missing.

FIRST STEPS

The FIRST STEPS version can only be used when the child is approximately 9 months and able to:

• Stand up and walk alone
• Grip the handle easily while standing
  Get up from the walker seat
• The child must also not exceed the weight of 12kg .

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Clean the plastic parts with a damp cloth or neutral detergent (no solvents) and dry thoroughly.

Clean the fabric parts with a solution of warm water and mild detergent.

Do not wash in a washing machine.

Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive materials.

Before using or storing the product for future use, make sure it is completely dry.

To preserve its effectiveness, clean the anti-slip device regularly with a damp cloth.

INFORMATION ABOUT BATTERIES

IMPORTANT: Keep the batteries out of the reach of children

BATTERIES:

• 4 × 1.5V AA batteries (not included)
• It is recommended to use disposable alkaline batteries.
• It is recommended not to use rechargeable batteries for this product.
• Replace the batteries when the sound does not work properly.

USING THE BATTERIES:

Always insert the batteries with the correct indicated polarity.
- Do not throw the batteries into the fire as they may explode.
- Batteries can be easily swallowed by small children, with dangerous consequences.
Always prevent small children from handling batteries and keep them out of their reach.
- If you think that a battery has been swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
- Different types of batteries, or used and unused batteries, must not be mixed; always replace both batteries.
- Flat batteries must be removed from the product.
- Never recharge batteries that are not rechargeable as they may explode or leak fluids.
- Remove the batteries if you are not using the product for a long time.
- The power supply terminals must not be short-circuited.
- Do not throw used batteries in the bin. Take them to a collection point.

CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THIS PRODUCT

To prevent any harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, the user is encouraged to separate this product from other types of waste and recycle it responsibly

in order to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. Household users should contact either the retailer where they purchased the product or their local council office, for details on separate collection and recycling for this type of product. This product should not be disposed of together with other commercial waste. In cases of improper waste disposal, administrative fines will be applied, in accordance with the Legislative Decree in force.

The contents of this document as stated below will come into effect as from 01.01.2005 and replace, on every account and in full, any previous message referring to the guarantee provided by Foppa Pedretti S.p.A.

FORMAL GUARANTEE

Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. the head office of which is located at n. 11 Via Volta, Grumello del Monte (Italy), guarantees directly to the Consumer that this brand new product is free of faults with regard to the materials, design and manufacture and that it complies with the characteristics as declared by the manufacturer.

This formal guarantee is valid in all Member Countries of the European Union and it neither excludes nor limits the Consumer's rights in accordance with mandatory measures provided for by the law with regard to the Retailer of the Product.

To take advantage of this formal guarantee, the Consumer must return the faulty product to the Retailer, presenting to the same the proof of purchase of the Product which must clearly show the Retailer's address, the date of purchase of the Product with the Retailer's stamp and signature and an indication of the Product itself or, alternatively, the receipt which must not have been altered and which must clearly show the same information as that referred to above.

The formal guarantee is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase of the Product. During this period, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. will repair or replace the faulty product, at its own discretion. The formal guarantee is granted to the end buyer of the Product (Consumer) and it neither excludes nor limits the mandatory rights of the Consumer as provided for by the law and/or the rights that the Consumer may have with regard to the Dealer/Retailer of the Product.

EXCLUSIONS TO THE FORMAL GUARANTEE.

The formal guarantee is excluded in the case of damage caused to the Product for the following reasons: if the product is used in a way that does not comply with the information contained in the use and assembly instruction sheet, if the product is knocked or dropped, if the Product is exposed to humidity or extreme heat or environmental conditions, or to sudden changes in the same, corrosion, oxidization, unauthorized alterations or repairs to the Product, repairs using unauthorized spare parts, improper use, improper maintenance or failure to carry out the same, improper maintenance compared to the information given on the use and assembly instruction sheet, incorrect assembly, accidents, damage caused by food or drink, damage caused by chemical products, cases of force majeure.

In any case, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declines all responsibility for damage caused to persons or to property, other than the Product, when such damage is caused by a failure to comply with the instructions/advice/ warnings cont a ined in the manual I or, alternatively, in the use and assembly instruction sheet provided with each Product for the owner/user. (Purely as an example, in the case of a cot : "Check your baby constantly.

Make sure that the sheets and blankets do not cover the baby's head...").

Furthermore, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declines all responsibility for damage to persons and to property when the breakage of its products is due to a deterioration in the components of the Product that are subject to wear. All the components of the Product made of plastic are considered to be components subject to wear.
