What to do if the camera does not start?

Check that the Ethernet cable is properly connected and that the switch or NVR supports PoE power. If the LED is off, the problem may be from the power supply.

Where are recorded videos stored?

Videos can be stored on a NVR connected via the network, or on the Imou cloud after activating a subscription. No local storage is built into the camera.

How to improve night vision quality?

Make sure the lens is not obstructed and that the infrared light does not reflect off nearby objects. Adjust the camera angle to avoid reflections.

What does the blinking red LED mean?

A blinking red LED indicates a network connection failure. Check your Ethernet cable and router. If the LED is solid red, the device is starting up or malfunctioning.

How to connect the camera to my network?

Connect the camera to a PoE switch or a PoE compatible NVR using an Ethernet cable. The camera will obtain an IP address automatically via DHCP. Use the Imou app for configuration.

Can I use the camera without NVR?

Yes, you can use the Imou cloud for storage and remote viewing. A subscription is required. The camera also works with an NVR recorder on the local network.

How to reset the camera to factory settings?

Press and hold the reset button (located under the camera) for about 10 seconds until the LED blinks. The camera will restart with default settings.

What type of Ethernet cable is recommended?

Use a Cat5e or higher cable to ensure stable PoE power and network speed. The maximum length is 100 meters.

How to mount the camera to the ceiling?

Attach the installation template to the ceiling, drill holes, insert wall plugs, and screw in the camera mount. Connect the Ethernet cable before permanently fixing the camera.

What to do if the image is blurry?

Gently clean the lens with a microfiber cloth. Check that the focus is correct (some models allow manual adjustment). Make sure the camera is not obstructed.
