How to install my Imou Ranger Pro camera?

Download the Imou Life app, create an account, plug in the camera, wait for the LED to flash green, then follow the in-app instructions to pair the camera with your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

What if the LED indicator does not flash green?

Make sure the camera is properly powered via the included adapter. If the LED stays red or is off, perform a reset by holding the reset button for 10 seconds.

Why does the app say 'Network configuration failed'?

Check that your router is broadcasting on the 2.4 GHz band (some dual-band routers need to be set to 2.4 GHz). Reset the camera and try again.

How to reset my camera to factory settings?

Press and hold the reset/pairing button for about 10 seconds. The LED will turn off then flash green, indicating the camera is reset.

I have no image / no video signal, what to do?

Make sure the LED is solid green (normal operation). Ensure the camera is properly powered and the Wi-Fi signal is strong. Remove obstacles between the camera and the router.

How to improve image quality?

Clean the lens with a soft cloth. Remove any protective film. Avoid direct light sources. Check the resolution in the app settings.

Why is there no sound?

Check that the audio function is enabled in the app. Increase the volume on your viewing device. Make sure the camera's microphone is not blocked.

Human detection is not working, how to enable it?

Open the Imou Life app, go to device settings and enable the Human Detection option. Make sure the camera is properly positioned.

The camera is upside down (image inverted), how to fix?

In the device settings on the Imou Life app, disable the Shielding (or flip) option to invert the image.

My phone does not read the QR code during pairing, what to do?

Clean your smartphone's lens. Make sure the QR code is clear and well-lit. Do not hold the phone too close to the camera. Try repositioning the QR code.

Cannot set up camera	·Ensure your mobile device and the camera are within range of your Wi-Fi router. ·Ensure the LED indicator on the camera is flashing green before beginning setup.
The APP says "Failed to configure device network"	·Reset your Camera and connect it again. ·Some cameras only support 2.4GHz, while some routers have dual band, 2.4G/5G. Make sure you are connecting 2.4GHz only.
The app says "Failed to bind"	The camera is already connected to Wi-Fi, but the router is: ·Not connected to Interne ·Poor network status ·The Wi-Fi signal is not stable due to obstacles or electronic interference
No picture / signal	·Ensure the LED indicator on the camera is flashing steady green. See 'LED Status' section for details if otherwise. ·Ensure the camera is properly connected to power using the included USB power adapter. ·Try repositioning the camera, router, or both to improve signal strength.
Picture is not clear	·Check the camera lens for dirt, dust, spider webs. Clean the lens with a soft, clean cloth. ·Remove the vinyl cover on the camera lens.
