How to reset the Imou Ranger camera?

Press the reset button for 10 seconds until the indicator turns off. The device will return to factory settings.

How to connect the camera to my Wi-Fi network?

Download the Imou app, create an account, then follow the on-screen instructions to add the device by scanning the QR code.

What do the different status lights mean?

Solid red light: startup. Slow green flashing: waiting for Wi-Fi configuration. Solid green: connected. Slow red: network loss. Fast red: startup error or defective SD card.

Can I use an SD card with this camera?

Yes, the camera supports microSD cards up to 128 GB. Insert it into the designated slot. If the indicator flashes red quickly, the card may be defective.

How to mount the camera on the wall?

Use the provided template to mark holes, drill, insert anchors, then attach the mounting bracket with screws. Finally, clip the camera into place.

Can I view the camera remotely?

Yes, via the Imou app on your smartphone, wherever you are, as long as the camera is connected to the internet.

How to add multiple Imou cameras?

In the app, repeat the addition procedure (step 4) for each camera. Each device must be reset and then scanned.

What to do if the camera does not connect to Wi-Fi?

Check that your network is on 2.4 GHz (not 5 GHz). Reset the camera and try again. Make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct.

How to update the camera firmware?

The Imou app notifies you of updates. Follow the instructions in the app. Do not unplug the camera during the update.

Can I share camera access with other people?

Yes, in the app, go to sharing settings and add the users' email addresses. They will receive an invitation.

Note

To reset, long press for 10 seconds till the light is off; to enable WPS, just press the button.

Operation by Imou App 3

Step 1 Power on your camera with power adapter.
Step 2 Connect your smartphone to your Wi-Fi network, scan "Imou" QR on the packing box, download and install Imou App.
Step 3 Run lmou App, and register account for first use.
Step 4 Follow the steps below to add your camera (Figure 3-1).

Note

• If you have more cameras, please follow step 4 to add them one by one.
• If you want to change the Wi-Fi signal, please reset the camera to factory default and repeat step 4 to add the camera.

Device Installation 4

Note

Please make sure the mounting surface can sustain at least 3X weight of the camera.

Step 1 Dig holes on the proper mounting surface according to the hole sites of installation position map.
Step 2 Knock the expansion bolts into the holes.
Step 3 Use self-tapping screws to install quick installation board and fix it well.
Step 4 Connect the device to power.

Step 5 Adjust the device monitoring angle and stick the device on the quick

installation board.
