- Use only as an underblanket, not as a blanket.
- This appliance is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
- This appliance must not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable persons who are unable to react to overheating.
- Children under the age of three are not to use this appliance due to their inability to react to overheating.
- The appliance can be used by children older than 3 years and younger than 8 years under supervision and with the control device always set to minimum temperature value.
- This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience and knowledge if they are adequately supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the appliance and are aware of the related dangers.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are under supervision.
- Do not use if damp or wet.
- Use the equipment only with the type of control device indicated on the equipment itself.
- If you wish to hold the right warm during the night, select position 1 on the control. WARNING: do not go to bed when the control unit is set to13 position 2 or 3 to avoid burns on the skin.
- Store the appliance in its original packaging in a clean, dry location when not in use. Do not place heavy items on top of it.
- When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding.
- Do not place items on top of the appliance while in storage to prevent it from becoming creased or misshapen.
- The pad does not require special maintenance. Just check it, the ex and the control regularly for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any such signs or if the appliance has been misused, take it to a service centre for an inspection before using it again.
- Not to use on an adjustable bed: in contrary case, verify that the underblanket and the cable cannot be catched or blocked, as for example in the hinges.
- If the power cable gets damaged, it has to be replaced only in a service centre approved by the manufacturer, in order to avoid a hazard.
- The cable and the control unit of the appliance can give rise to risks of entanglement, strangulation, tripping or treading if not correctly arranged. The user shall make sure that excess ties and electric cords shall be arranged in a safe way.
- To clean the appliance, refer to the MAINTENANCE chapter.14 Keep handy the guarantee, receipt of payment and these instructions for future use and reference. After removing the packaging, check the appliance for any signs of damage. In case of visible damage, do not use it and contact a qualied technician. Keep all parts of the packaging out of the reach of children.This appliance is not a children’s toy: it is an electrical device and must be treated with the necessary caution. Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the power supply voltage matches the indication on the data plate. If the plug and socket are not compatible, replace the socket with a suitable type, applying to skilled people. Do not use adapters or extension cables which do not meet current safety standards or that exceed the current carrying capacity limits. When you don’t use the appliance disconnect it from the power supply. Do not tug on the power cable or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket. The use of any electrical appliance requires to respect of basic rules, namely: - Never touch the appliance with wet or humid hands. - Do not leave the appliance exposed to weathering (rain, sunlight). - Do not subject it to rough handling. The power cable should be extended to its full lenght to avoid over heating. In case of a breakdown or malfunctioning of the appliance, disconnect it at once. Do not attempt to repair it, but take it to a service centre approved by the manufacturer.
- Expectant mothers, people who suer from diabetes and people who carry pacemakers must consult their doctor before using this appliance.
- The appliance has been designed and manufactured to operate as electric underblanket. Any other use is considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous.
- Use only on top of a mattress, not on hard surfaces without a mattress, on a net, slats or the oor.15 Instructions for use - Lay the underblanket between the sheet and the mattress. - Insert the connector of the cable into the connector of the underblanket. To remove the controller, lift the locking tab up with your nger and pull the plug directly out. Do not pull the controller cable and do not try and pull the controller plug out without lifting the locking tab as you will damage the socket. - Do not place the control under the pillow or under the blankets when it is switched on. - Insert the plug into the wall socket. - The control on the cable has a switch with positions 0-1-2-3-0: Position 0 = OFF Position 1 = lower temperature (for continous use) Position 2 = medium temperature (for pre-heating) Position 3 = maximum temperature (for pre-heating) - Switch on the underblanket about an hour before going to bed and select position 2 or 3 on the control. Keep the underblanket covered. - WARNING: do not go to bed when the control unit is set to position 2 or 3 to avoid burns on the skin. - Before going to bed, set the control unit to position 0; if you wish to hold the right warm during the night, select position 1 on the control. If you decide not to use this appliance any longer, disable it by cutting the power cable - of course, after disconnecting it from the socket. In the event of a breakdown, operating anomaly, tripped fuse or tripped protective thermal fuse, unplug the appliance immediately and contact an authorized service centre; do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Do not use the appliance out of doors. For the sake of safety, never open the pad or the control: there are no parts inside that require servicing. Do not place the control unit near sources of heat. Do not cover the control unit or place it on top of the appliance while it is in use. Maintenance Disconnect the plug from the socket and let the appliance cool down well before cleaning it. The control unit must be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use substances, liquids or excessively dampened cloths because any inltrations could damage the appliance beyond repair. NEVER IMMERSE THE CONTROL UNIT IN WATER. The heating panel can be washed. Before washing, remove the control16 unit and follow the instructions below which are also provided on the appliance (see WARNINGS section). Do not dry-clean or use chemical solvents. They might damage the over blanket and make it unsafe to use. Do not wash the panel too frequently as it may get damaged. Do not store or use the device before it is completely dry. USER INFORMATION “Implementation of Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)”, pertaining to reduced use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, as well as to waste disposal. The symbol of the crossed-out wheelie bin on the equipment or on its packaging indicates that the product must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its service life. The user must therefore take the dismissed equipment to suitable separate collection centres for electrical and electronic waste. For more details, please contact the appropriate local authority. Suitable segregated collection of the equipment for subsequent recycling, treatment or environmentally- friendly disposal helps prevent damage to the environment and to human health, and encourages the re-use and/or recycling of the materials that make up the equipment. Abusive disposal of the product by the user shall result in the application of administrative nes in accordance with the laws in force. User information PACKAGING In order to respect the environment, packaging material must be disposed of properly in accordance with separate collection. Check local regulations.17 GUARANTEE Terms and Conditions The guarantee is valid for 24 months. This guarantee applies only if it has been duly lled in and is submitted with the receipt showing the date of purchase. The guarantee covers the replacement or repair of parts making up the appliance which were faulty at source due to manufacturing faults. After the guarantee has expired, the appliance will be repaired against payment. The manufacturer declines any responsibility for damage to persons, animals or property due to misuse of the appliance and failure to observe the directions contained in the instructions. Limits All rights under this guarantee and any responsibility on our part will be voided if the appliance has been: - mishandled by unauthorized persons - improperly used, stored or transported. The guarantee does not cover damage to the outward appearance or any other that does not prevent regular operation.
