POWER SUPPLY

THE POWER CORD SHOULD REMAIN EASILY AND PERMANENTLY ACCESSIBLE IN ORDER TO DISCONNECT THE UNIT IN CASE OF DANGER.

III – INSTALLATION

1- Location

  1. Install the unit on the horizontal flat surface and do not put any heavy object on it.
  2. Leave a distance of 5 cm at least around the unit to ensure sufficient ventilation.

2- Unpacking and disposal of packing items

Packaging carton and paper sheets are recyclable: they should be disposed of in appropriate collection bins.

4- Connection to the mains supply

  1. Connect the AC adapter to the appropriate input on the back of the unit.
  2. Connect the unit to the power supply via its AC adapter to a wall outlet.
  3. Turn on the power by placing the switch on the back of the unit in the ON position.

Notes:

  • Power supply: 100-240V \~50/60Hz.
  • If the appliance is not going to be used for a long time, please unplug the unit from the mains supply.
  • In case of stormy weather, please unplug the unit from the mains supply.

IV – REMOTE CONTROL

1. Installing the battery into the remote

  1. Before starting to use the remote, activate the button cell by removing the protective paper located inside the battery compartment.

Note: The 3V type CR2025 button battery is supplied

  1. To replace the battery, open the battery compartment and insert a new battery of the same type.

WARNING

Explosion hazard if the battery is not replaced properly. Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent type.

Note: Use the remote within 5 meters of the unit, and aim it at the unit at an angle not exceeding 30^ .

WARNING

Do not ingest the battery to avoid chemical burns.

The remote control supplied with the sound tower contains a button battery. Swallowing the button cell can generate serious internal burns within only 2 hours, and can even provoke death.

Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.

If the battery compartment fails to close properly, stop using the remote and keep it out of reach of children.

In case of doubt whether the batteries have been swallowed or introduced into any part of the body, please consult a doctor without delay.

Notes:

  1. Please do not use rechargeable batteries
  2. Do not mix different brand and type of batteries in the remote and do not mix new and old batteries.
  3. When the remote seems to have lost power, or the control range has shortened, please install 2 new batteries.
  4. If the remote will not be used for a long time, please take out the batteries and store them in a dry and cool place.
  5. Do not expose the remote to high temperature and humidity.
  6. Never try to disassemble the remote.
  7. Make sure to avoid reflections from mirrors or glass panels that could impair the infrared signal of the remote.

V - USE OF THE UNIT

1. Bluetooth

  • Turn on the unit, and press MODE to activate Bluetooth mode. The Bluetooth LED indicator starts flashing quickly in BLUE.
  • Search and pair CETDSB40B4 on your Bluetooth external device (smart phone, PC, etc.).
  • If required, use password 0000.
  • Once pairing is completed, the Bluetooth LED indicator will slowly blink in BLUE.

2. Play music

  • Insert an external audio source (USB stick or micro SD card) into the unit. Press MODE to activate the MUSIC mode.
  • Use VOL+ and VOL- to adjust the volume. Use the ◀◀ and ▶▶I buttons to select files, and ▶▶ to play or pause.

3. AUX-IN function

  • Press MODE to activate the AUX mode. The Bluetooth LED indicator will start flashing in RED.
  • Insert one end of the 3.5 mm audio cable (supplied) into the AUX-IN input of the unit, and the other end to a PC or an external Bluetooth device (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.)
  • Open a media player on the Bluetooth device, then press to start playback.
  • Use the controls on the Bluetooth device to control playback and volume.

4. FM radio

  • Press MODE to activate the FM mode: the FM LED indicator starts flashing in GREEN.
  • On the unit or the remote control, press on key to search for available FM stations. The stations found will be automatically stored.
  • When the search is complete, use the ◀ and buttons to scroll through the pre-stored stations.
  • To start a new search, just press the key.
