You have selected a high quality prod- uct. The instructions for use are a part of this product. They contain important information about safety, usage and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all the operating and safety in- structions. Only use the product as described and for its indicated purpose. When passing this product on to third parties, please be sure to include all documentation. Intended use This product is intended as a decorative light for dry in- door locations. FANTS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging materials. Choking hazard. Keep children away from the product. DANGER TO LIFE! Batteries are not intended for children. Do not leave batteries lying around. There is a danger that these will be swallowed by children or pets. If they are accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention. This device may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or lacking experience and knowledge, so long as they are supervised or in- structed in the safe use of the product and understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play16 GB/IE with the product. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the product unsupervised. Do not use the product if you notice any signs of damage. FIRE HAZARD! Do not short-circuit the batteries. The battery may overheat, ignite or explode. EXPLOSION HAZARD! Never throw batteries into fire or water. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries! The batteries may explode. Skin contact with leaking or damaged batteries may result in chemical burns; therefore always wear suitable protective gloves. Remove drained batteries from the device. Very old or used batteries may leak. The chemicals inside may damage the product. Remove the batteries from the device if it will not be used for a prolonged period. Always use batteries of the same type (see section “Technical data“). Regularly check the batteries for signs of expiry. Never expose the product to high temperatures or moisture as this could damage the product. Avoid mechanical strain on the product! In the event of damage, repairs or other problems with the light, please contact an electrician. Do not use old and new batteries together. CAUTION! RISK OF OVERHEATING! Do not operate the product in its packaging. Store the product in the original packaging after use to prevent accidental damage. This product does not contain any parts that can be serviced by the user. The bulbs cannot be replaced. Never electrically connect the product with another product. The LEDs are permanently connected to the fairy lights and are non-replaceable. Should one or several LEDs be damaged, the product must be rendered useless and disposed appropriately. to switch the product on or off. Timer function This product has a 6-hour timer with automatic daily recurrence. Set the ON/TIMER/OFF switch
to the TIMER position. The product will stay on for 6 hours and will then automatically switch off for 18 hours. This pattern will automatically repeat. Set the ON/TIMER/OFF switch
to the OFF position to turn the timer function off. Cleaning and care Do not clean the light with water or other liquids. Use a feather duster for cleaning purposes. Disposal The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities. The Green Dot is not valid for Germany.
Observe the marking of the packaging materi- als for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with follow- ing meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and fibreboard / 80–98: composite materials. The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries / rechargeable batteries! Batteries / rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries / rechargeable batteries at a local collection point. Warranty and Service Note: this product includes a 36 month warranty from the date of purchase. The product has been produced to the highest standards and thoroughly checked before dis- patch. However, if defects in manufacturing or material arise during the warranty period, please contact your retailer immediately. The warranty does not cover damages due to improper handling, failure to comply with the operating instructions, or manipulation by unauthorised persons. Most malfunctions are caused by incorrect operation. Therefore please first refer to the operating instructions if a malfunction occurs.
