SAFETY CONDITIONS IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ON SAFETY OF USE PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

Dear Customer

Thank you for buying MESKO products.

MS6508/MS6509 is an appliance intended to warm up or prepare meals.

ATTENTION:

This appliance is intended for household use only.

This appliance is NOT intended for commercial/professional use.

This appliance MUST NOT be used outdoor.

Attention! Before using this appliance carefully read this manual to avoid the risk of accidents and to ensure proper use of the appliance. Keep and store the manual so as to ensure easy reference in the future. The manufacturer shall not be held reliable for damage caused by misuse or improper operation of the appliance.

I. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE

1. Before using the appliance check if the voltage indicated in the data plate corresponds to the local power supply parameters. Remember that AC stands for “alternating current” while DC stands for “direct current”.

3.Make sure that the power cord and the plug have no visible signs of damage

1. Make sure that, before and during use, the power cord is not routed above naked flames or other source of heat or hung over sharp edges which might damage the cable insulation.

2. Periodically check the condition of the power cord. If damaged the power cord should be replaced by an authorized repair facility to avoid danger.

3. Before the first use remove all the packaging elements. Attention! Where the casing is composed of metal parts, such parts may be covered with a protection film which is hardly visible. The film should be removed too.

4. This appliance is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities unless they have been given supervision of authorized or experienced persons always in accordance with this manual

5. The appliance is intended for operation with external time switches or separate remote control systems.

6. The appliance can only be connected to an earthed 220-240V \~50/60Hz socket

CAUTION: This appliance is not intended for use by children under the age of 8 or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge of the equipment, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the equipment and the related hazards by a person responsible for their safety and they are aware of the danger related to the operation of the equipment. Children should not play with the equipment. The equipment must not be cleaned or maintained by the children unless they are not under the age of 8 and the activities are supervised

1. Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.

2. Do not use the appliance near inflammable materials.

3. Power cord must not hang over a table top or touch hot surfaces.
4. Do not immerse the appliance or the power cord in water or any other liquid.
5. Do not expose the appliance to weather conditions (rain, sunlight etc.) or use it in elevated humidity conditions (bathrooms, damp holiday cottages)

. When the appliance is not in use it should always be unplugged from the power 15. socket.

1. Do not remove the power plug from the socket by pulling the cord – grip the plug instead.

2. The manufacturer shall not be held liable for damage resulting from improper use of the appliance.

3. Remember that some parts of the appliance and the housing may become hot during operation. Therefore, pay special attention and do not touch them to avoid burns.

4. Always operate the appliance on a dry and stable surface

5. NEVER cover the appliance when in use or until it has cooled down.

6. Remember that it takes time for the heating elements to cool down completely

7. The appliance is a 1st class fire protection device and, therefore, it must be connected to a power socket with an earthing prong.

8. Provide sufficient space around and above the appliance when in use. During the operation the appliance must not come in contact with any inflammable objects such as decorations, paper towels, curtains, clothes etc.

9. TAKE CARE when using the appliance on surface sensitive to high temperature. In such a case use insulating pads.

10. Do not use this appliance with external time switches or any other remote control systems.

To enhance your safety it is recommended that the wiring system be equipped with an automatic residual current device with the tripping current of 30 mA.

II DETAILED SAFETY CONDITIONS

1. Use this appliance indoor only.
2. Do not use aggressive detergents e.g. cleaning emulsions, cream cleaners, cleaning pastes etc. as they may remove the graphic symbols such as designations, warning signs etc.
3. Do not put empty containers or dishes on the appliance.
4. Do not use the electric cooker as a space heater or to warm inflammable, explosive, noxious, volatile materials or liquids.
5. Do not use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer as they may be dangerous to the use or pose the risk of damage to the appliance itself.
6. Never move the appliance by pulling the power cord. Make sure that the power cord is not obstructed in any manner. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance or kink it.

7. Never move the cooker when boiling water or with a hot cookware on it.

8. Make sure the appliance has cooled down before storing it.

9. Do not place the appliance so that the heating plate could contact other appliances (e.g. mixers). Do not put the cooker below the power socket
10. Place the cooker at least 30 cm away from the wall, furniture, other equipment, containers. Make sure that sheer curtains, curtains, clothes or other inflammable materials cannot come closer than 30 cm away from the cooker as this may cause fire.
11. Never place containers made of PVC, paper, cardboard etc. on the heating plate.
12. Do not touch the housing or the heating plates of the cooker when in use. During the operation use the knobs only. After turning the cooker off wait until it has cooled down.
13. Temperature of accessible surfaces of the appliance can be high when in operation. Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.
14. Children of the age 3 to 8 may turn the appliance on or off only when the appliance is in its normal operating position and they are supervised or have received instructions about safe use and understood the related hazards. Children of the age 3 to 8 must not connect, operate, clean or maintain the appliance
    .15. The appliance should be stored together with the power cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.

III. WARNINGS

1. Never use the appliance if damaged or malfunctioning.
2. Do not operate the appliance after it has been dropped or shows clear signs of malfunctioning.
3. Do not use extension cords or other electrical sockets which do not meet the standards in force or electrical regulations
4. Any repairs, disassembly or replacement of any parts should always be carried out by professional service facility.
5. If the appliance or parts such as electrical contacts, plug or power cord have got wet dry the appliance and its components before used.
6. Never operate the appliance with wet hands.
7. When you suspect that the appliance has been damaged NEVER try to repair it on yourself.
   8Do not wash the appliance under running water or so that water could penetrate it.

V. OPERATION

ATTENTION: It is recommended to turn the cooker on for 15 minutes before the first use. This will remove the protective film and some smoke may be produced during that time. Make sure that the room is ventilated.

1. Place the cooker on a flat surface at least 30 cm away from the wall, furniture, other equipment, containers. sheer curtains, curtains, clothes or other inflammable materials.

2. Insert the plug into the power socket.

3. Put a flat-bottomed cookware on the heating plate [2], [2a], [2b]. It is recommended to use cookware with bottom of an area equal to or larger than that of the heating plate to avoid energy losses. Use only pots with clean and dry bottoms and always place them on a dry and clean heating plate.

4. Turn the cooker on using the knob of the heating plate to be used [3].

5. Set the desired temperature using knob [3] (from 1 = warming up to 5 = maximum temperature).

6. Once the cooker is on the control lamp [4] corresponding to the heating plate [2, 2a, 2b] should go on. The lamp will go on and off according to the operating cycle of the thermostat installed in the cooker.

7. Do not leave the cooker plugged into the power socket unattended

8. After you have finished using the cooker turn the knob [3] to "0". The control lamp [4] should go off. even if the lamp is off it does not indicate that the cooker is off.

ATTENTION: After you have finished using the cooker unplug it from the power socket.

1. If you have noticed a rack in the heating plate [2, 2a, 2b] or the housing [1] immediately turn the cooker off using the knob [3] and unplug it from the power socket.

2. Take special care because excessively hot fat or oil may catch fire.

3. If the appliance is used under a hood observe the minimum distance between the cooker and the hood recommended by the manufacturer. It is good to use a double distance

VI. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning always unplug the appliance form the power socket and wait until the cooker has cooled down.

1. Wipe the housing [1] with a wet cloth using a dishwashing liquid.

2. Dirty heating plates, burnt food residues should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth.

3. If parts such as power plug or thermostat controller cable contacts get wet during cleaning dry them carefully before next use.

4. CAUTION: Cooker must not be immersed in water or any other liquid.
