Frequently Asked Questions - eufyCam E eufy

How to recharge the battery of the eufyCam E?
Use the provided micro-USB cable and plug it into the charging port located on the back of the camera. You can charge it via a standard USB charger (5V) or directly on the HomeBase charging port. Full charge takes about 4 hours. A solid red LED indicates charging; it turns off when the battery is full.
What is the battery life of the eufyCam E?
Battery life can reach 1 year depending on usage (number of recorded events, connection quality, temperature). To optimize lifespan, avoid extreme exposures and use motion detection recording mode.
How to install and mount the eufyCam E outdoors?
1. Choose a location 2-3 m from the ground, protected from direct sunlight. 2. Drill holes with a 6 mm drill bit, insert anchors if the wall is concrete, brick, or stucco. 3. Screw the outdoor mount base, attach the ball mount, then snap the camera onto it. 4. Adjust the angle via the Eufy Security app.
Can I use the eufyCam E without a HomeBase?
No, the eufyCam E requires a HomeBase (eufyCam or eufyCam E) to operate. The HomeBase acts as a base station, local storage, and Wi-Fi hub for the camera.
What to do if the LED is flashing or red?
Consult the LED guide in the Eufy Security app. Generally: solid red = charging; flashing red = low battery or error; flashing blue = pairing; solid blue = normal operation. If the problem persists, restart the camera or contact support.
How to improve the Wi-Fi reception of the eufyCam E?
Use the Mounting Guide feature in the app to test the signal. If the signal is weak, move the camera closer to the HomeBase or reduce obstacles (thick walls, metal). The recommended maximum distance is about 30 meters in open field.
Is the eufyCam E rain-resistant?
Yes, it is certified IP67: dust-tight and can withstand immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The outdoor mount is designed for outdoor use, but avoid direct sunlight.
How to add an eufyCam E to my existing system?
