Frequently Asked Questions - E 150 STEBA

How to correctly assemble the Steba E 150 juice extractor?
Place the juice collection tray on the motor base, then insert the perforated basket aligning the arrows on the drive. Put on the lid and close the locking clamp. Attach the pulp container under the ejection. Only plug in after complete assembly.
What to do if the appliance does not start?
Check that the safety lock (clamp) has engaged the notch and that the pulp container is correctly in place. If the problem persists, unplug and reassemble.
Can I extract juice from bananas?
No, bananas and avocados are not suitable as they clog the appliance. Also avoid un-pitted hard stone fruits.
How to clean the perforated basket?
After unplugging, carefully remove the perforated basket and clean it under running water with the provided brush. Beware of sharp blades! Other parts (tray, container) can be washed with soapy water.
Why does the motor stop during extraction?
This may be due to hard pits or overload. Remove pits beforehand, fill while motor is running, and do not press too hard on the pusher.
Which speed to use for apples?
Use fast speed (II) for hard fruits like apples and carrots. Slow speed (I) is for soft fruits (grapes, melons).
How to prevent apple juice from discoloring?
Add a little lemon juice to the apples before extraction. This slows oxidation and preserves color.
Can I use fruits with pits?
All fruits with pits or seeds (plums, peaches, etc.) must be pitted or seeded before extraction, otherwise the blades may be damaged.
What to do if juice spurts from the spout?
This indicates overload or too much pressure on the pusher. Work more slowly and do not press too hard.
How to dispose of the appliance at end of life?
Do not dispose of the appliance with household waste. Take it to a recycling center or the point of sale. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates it must be collected separately.
