What batteries are used in the Eton FR170 radio?

How to clean the solar panel of the ETON FR170?
Frequently Asked Questions - 30/06/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The solar panel of the ETON FR170 (component visible in the product diagram) can be easily cleaned to maintain its charging efficiency.

Cleaning method

  • Use a dry cloth only
  • Do not use detergents, chemicals, or solvents - these could damage the finish of the device
  • Clean regularly to remove dust and debris that reduce solar efficiency

To optimize charging

After cleaning, expose the radio to sunlight. The panel converts solar energy and automatically recharges the rechargeable battery. 10 to 12 hours of sunlight exposure allows for 3 to 5 hours of operation depending on the volume used.
