How do I pair the headset with my PS4 console?

Plug the wireless adapter into a USB port on your PS4. Turn on the console and check for updates. In Settings > Devices > Audio Devices, select 'Plantronics RIG800XX' as the output device. For PS4 Slim, also set 'Output to Headphones' to 'All Audio'.

How do I set up the headset on Xbox One?

Plug the adapter into the Xbox One. Go to Display & Sound > Kinect & Devices > Device Options > Assign to link the headset.

How do I charge the RIG 800LXV2 headset?

Use the included micro-USB cable. The red LED lights up during charging and turns off when the battery is full (about 4h30). The headset offers up to 24 hours of battery life.

How do I adjust volume and game/chat balance?

Use the top button on the headset to adjust the balance between game sound and player voice. The bottom button controls the main volume. On PS4 Slim, set the top button to the center for neutral balance.

How do I activate mute?

Raise the microphone boom fully upward to mute. Do not force beyond the stops.

How do I change the equalization mode?

Press the EQ button briefly. You will hear tones: 1 tone = Pure, 2 tones = Seismic (enhanced bass), 3 tones = Intense (details), 4 tones = Vocal (voice).

What is microphone control (sidetone) and how do I adjust it?

Microphone control lets you hear your own voice in the headset. Hold the mute button to cycle through levels: 1 tone = none, 2 = low, 3 = high.

Can I use the headset on PC?

Yes. Plug the adapter into a USB port. For RIG 800HX/LX models, set the switch on the back of the adapter to 'PC'. For RIG 800HD/HS, you can use the optical cable.

What should I do if the sound is low or distorted?

Check the volume level on the headset and in the console settings. Ensure the equalizer is not set to an extreme mode. Restart the headset and adapter.

How do I clean and maintain the headset?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surfaces. Do not use chemicals. Do not immerse the headset in water. Store in a dry place.

Setup and basics

Your adapter comes pre-paired to your headset. After you adjust and charge your headset and configure your adapter, power on your headset and it's ready to go.

Fit Your headset components easily snap into the headset frame to configure the best fit and sound.

The headband adjusts to three sizes (small, medium, large) by moving the earcups. To remove an earcup, press the earcup to detach it from the headband.

NOTE Headband style may vary.

Setup PS4 PS4

1 Connect your adapter to your system.

2 Power on your PS4 and Check for updates
3 Go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings > Select Digital Out (Optical)
4 Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices > Output Devices Select Plantronics RIG800XX

PS4 (slim version)

1 Connect your adapter to your system.

2 Power on your PS4 and Check for updates
3 Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices > Output Devices Select Plantronics RIG800XX
4 Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices > Output to headphones > All audio

IMPORTANT Optical cable connection is only for RIG 800HD and RIG 800HS.

2 RIG 800HX and RIG 800LX only: Ensure the switch on the back of the adapter is set to «PC.»

Charge

It takes up to 4.5 hours to fully charge your headphones. The headset LED is red while charging and turns off when complete.

Adjust volume

1 To increase or decrease the game and chat volume, adjust the top headset dial.
2 To increase or decrease the master volume, adjust the bottom headset dial.

IMPORTANT For the PS4 (slim version), set the top headset dial in the middle; game and chat remain balanced. Use the bottom headset dial to increase or decrease the master volume.

Mute

Lift the boom to a full stop to mute the microphone.

CAUTION Do not force the boom past its upper or lower limits.

Set EQ

Cycle through the EQ modes by tapping the EQ button.

Adjust mic monitoring
