- You must remove all packaging before using the Witt Retro To-Go blender for the first time.
- Be careful when handling the blades - they are very sharp.
- Clean the container, lid, blade unit and accessories with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry them thoroughly. All components (except the base/ motor unit) can be put in the dishwasher.
- When using your blender for the first time, there may be odours coming from the motor. This is normal and the odours will disappear as the blender is used. HOW YOUR WITT RETRO TO-GO BLENDER WORKS
1. Cut the ingredients into smaller pieces of approximately 1.5 cm and add
them to the blender container with a suitable amount of water. The total amount must not exceed the maximum marker (500 ml).
2. Install the blade unit’s waterproof sealing ring in the indentation/ridge on
the blade unit. The device will leak if this is not installed correctly. Then attach the blade unit firmly to the blender container. Please note: If the blade unit and blender container are not correctly attached or if the blade unit does not have a waterproof seal, the device may not work and the blade may get loose.
3. Now install the blender container with the blade unit firmly to the base/
motor unit itself. Make sure that the blade unit is firmly attached before turning the blender container to blend.
4. Connect the device to a power source and select the gear/speed and
then begin blending. Do not blend for more than 60 seconds at a time. Let the motor rest for two minutes before continuing.
5. When you are done blending: For safety reasons, the base must be
turned off at the socket and the plug must be removed. Wait a few seconds so that the blades have time to stop turning before lifting the blender container from the base.
6. Remove the blade unit and pour the ingredients out - or attach the
drinking lid and drink directly from to-go container.26
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always remove the plug from the socket before touching the base/motor unit.
Do not leave food residues to dry in the blender container or on the lid. If pos- sible, these steps should be taken immediately after using the blender:
- Rinse food remains off the blade, container and lid.
- The components should be washed in warm soapy water with a mild deter- gent or a soft sponge.
The base should be dried with a moist, soft rag and then dried thoroughly. Also dry off food residue/splash residue from the cord. CLEANING AGENTS Do not use grinding cleaning agents or scouring pads on either the base or the blender container as this may scratch and damage the surface and lead to permanent damage to the product. Only use warm soapy water with a soft sponge/rag. DISHWASHER The blender container, lid and blade unit can be put in the dishwasher. CITRUS If the blender container is exposed to citrus oil, it may affects its appearance and durability. After washing it with a cleaning agent, it must be rinsed thoroughly with clean water and dried immediately. Do not leave the container to soak if you have used citrus fruit as an ingredient. Do not install the blade unit while cleaning the blender with a cleaning agent. STORAGE Should be stored in an upright position with the container and blade unit assembled and on the base or next to it.27 ENEN TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS RESOLVING PROBLEMS The motor is not starting/the blade units are not rotating
- Ensure that the plug is correctly attached to the socket.
- The overload protection feature may have been activated (see below) The blender suddenly stops while it is being used
- The blender has an overload protection mechanism which prevents the motor from being damaged. Remove the plug from the socket and then remove the container and let the motor cool off for 30 minutes. Then you can use the blender normally again.
- We recommend that you blend smaller amounts or cut the ingredients into smaller pieces. The food is lumpy or uneven
- This can happen when too much is blended at once. Try to blend smaller amounts or blend the contents multiple times.
- The ingredients may be too large, try to cut them into smaller pieces. To get the best results, the pieces should not be larger than 2 cm. The food sticks to the container and blade
- The food may be too thick. Try to add more fluids. 1 220VAC 50Hz 300W 2 Capacity: 500 ml
