1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

2. Children shall not play with the appliance.

3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.

4. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified

persons in order to avoid a hazard.

6. Regarding the instructions for cleaning the surfaces which come in contact with food or oil, please refer to the

paragraph “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” of the manual.

7. This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

8. Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the

specifications on the rating label.

1. Remove all packaging. The appliance is closed and locked by the securing latch on the side of the unit. Turn the

securing latch to unlock the appliance.

8. The cooking will take about 3-8 minutes depending on different food. Check if the food is golden brown. Adjust

the cooking time to suit the individual taste.

9. When cooking is finished, use the handle to open the lid. Remove food by using a wooden or plastic spatula to

protect the non-stick coating of the cooking plates.

10. Disconnect the plug from the outlet after use and leave the appliance open to cool.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Always unplug the appliance after use. Allow it to cool down before cleaning. The unit is easier to clean when

slightly warm. There is no need to disassemble the appliance for cleaning.

2. Clean the housing with a soft damp cloth and then dry it thoroughly.

3. Wipe the cooking plates with a soft cloth to remove the food residue. For baked food residue squeeze some

warm water mixed with detergent over the food residue and then clean with a non-abrasive plastic scouring pad or place wet kitchen paper over the surface to moisten the food residue.

4. Remove and empty the oil drip tray. Wash it in warm soapy water. Avoid the use of scouring pads or harsh

detergents as they may damage the surface. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth and replace.

5. Never use abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects (e.g. scrubbing brush or knife) for cleaning.
