The following information on hazards and precautions includes the most likely situations that may arise during use of this machine. Consult all product documentation, packaging and labels before use. If you encounter a situation not described in this manual, use common sense to use the machine as safely as possible and if you see danger, do not use the machine. USERS

• This product has been designed to be handled by users of legal age who have read and understood these instructions. Do not allow underage persons or persons who do not understand these instructions to use the product.

• Before using this product, familiarize yourself with it. Make sure you know where all the controls are, the safety devices and how they should be used.

• If you are an inexperienced user we recommend that you practice doing simple work and, if possible, in the company of an experienced person. PERSONAL SAFETY

• Do not force this machine. Use this machine, accessories, tools, etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the conditions and the work to be done. Using this machine for unintended purposes may cause a dangerous situation.

• Wear ear protection and safety glasses at all times when operating the machine.

• Be alert, watch what you are doing when operating this machine.

• Avoid unintentional starting of the machine. Make sure the switches are in the off position before connecting the machine to a power source.

• Always maintain proper foot support and operate the machine only when it is on a xed, stable and level surface. Slippery or unstable surfaces can cause a loss of balance or control of the machine.

• Do not use this machine when you are tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medicines.

• Check the power cable and extension cord for signs of damage or ageing. If the cable is damaged during use, disconnect it from the supply immediately.

• Do not put your hands or feet under the scarier. Keep all parts of the body away from the blade when the machine is in operation. Before starting the scarier, make sure that the blade is not in contact with any object.

• It is not recommended to use this machine on slopes with more than 5% difference in level. Cutting on mounds can be dangerous. Be careful when walking on slopes or wet grass. Be especially careful when changing direction on a slope. Cut parallel to the surface of the slope, never up and down.

• Do not try to remove the cut material from the cutting tool when it is moving. Be sure the machine is turned off when cleaning up material residue.

• Never hold the machine by the cutting tool. The cutting tools have sharp edges that can hurt you.

• Hold the scarier with your two hands on the handlebars and always place your body behind it.

• Do not operate the machine in the rain or in extremely damp conditions.

• Do not leave this machine running unattended. WORK CLOTHES

• Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that may get caught in moving parts. We recommend the use of: - Eye protection (safety glasses). - Hearing protection. - Head and face protection (helmet and mask). - Hand protection (resistant and non-slip gloves).44 - Leg protection (trousers). - Foot protection (non-slip footwear). VIBRATIONS

• A high level of vibration and long periods of exposure are the factors contributing to white nger disease (Raynaud’s phenomenon). In order to reduce the risk of white nger disease, you need to be aware of these recommendations: - Always wear gloves. - Worry about always keeping your hands warm. - Make sure that the chain is always sharp. - Take frequent breaks. - Always hold the machine rmly by the handles.

• If you notice any of the symptoms of white nger disease, see your doctor immediately.

• Do not use the machine at extreme temperatures.

• Keep the machine away from excessive moisture.

• Do not use this machine in an explosive atmosphere in the presence of ammable liquids, gases and dust.

• Do not operate the machine on a paved or gravel surface where the ejected material may cause injury.

• Remove all objects from the work area before starting this machine. Objects near the product may be touched and thrown by the machine causing personal injury.

• Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas can cause accidents.

• Keep children, people or animals away while operating this machine.

• When work is performed simultaneously by two or more people, always check the location of the others and keep a sufcient distance to ensure safety.

• Remember that the operator of the machine is responsible for dangers and accidents caused to other people or things. The manufacturer is in no way responsible for damage caused by improper or incorrect use of this machine. ELECTRICAL SAFETY

• This equipment can be a potential source of electrical shock if misused.

• Make sure that all power supplies meet the equipment voltage requirements before connecting or disconnecting the equipment.

• Keep the machine away from water and excessive moisture.

• Do not use electrical cables to lift, move or transport the equipment. Protect cables from heat and sharp objects.

• Ensure that the electrical cables do not present a tripping hazard.

• Keep extension cords away from the tines. The tines can damage the cables and cause them to come into contact with live parts.

MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE SAFETY

• Do not modify the product controls.

• Check regularly for broken parts or other conditions that may affect the proper operation of the machine.

• Replace worn or damaged parts immediately with original spare parts only.

• Carry out regular maintenance of the machine. Do not attempt any maintenance or repair work that is not described in this instruction manual. We recommend that maintenance and repairs not described in this manual be carried out by the Ofcial Technical Service.45

• Always clean dust and dirt from the machine when the work is nished.

• Do not clean the machine with solvents, ammable liquids or hard abrasives.

• Keep the handles of this machine dry and clean.

• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Proper maintenance of cutting tools reduces the likelihood of incidents by making them easier to control.

• If the machine starts to vibrate in a strange way, turn it off and examine it to nd the cause. If you do not detect the reason take your machine to the Ofcial Technical Service.

• To avoid burns or re hazards, allow the machine to cool completely before transporting or storing.

• When transporting the product, make sure that the motor is stopped and the machine is properly secured to prevent it from tipping over or being damaged.

• The equipment is not weatherproof, and should not be stored in direct sunlight, high ambient temperatures, or in damp or wet locations.

• Store the product out of the reach of children . SERVICE

• Have the product checked periodically by a qualied technician and use only original spare parts. If you have any questions, please contact the Ofcial Technical Service.46 WARNING ICONS The icons on the warning labels on this machine and/or in the manual indicate information necessary for the safe use of this machine. Attention, danger! Read this manual carefully before starting the machine. Wear eye and ear protection. Wear tight, sturdy safety gloves. Keep your feet and hands away from the cutting tool. Do not allow your hands or any other part of your body to get near the moving parts of the machine. Turn off the machine and disconnect it completely before servicing the machine. Guaranteed sound power level XX LWA, dB (A). Dispose of your device in an environmentally friendly way. This product should not be disposed of with household waste. Complies with the European Union Directive.47

Only use this machine to scarify the lawn. Do not use the scarier for any other purpose than that for which it was intended. Any other use than that described above may lead to dangerous situations and exempts the manufacturer from any liability.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT

NOTE: The products detailed in this manual may vary in appearance, inclusions, description and packaging as shown or described here.

10. Adjustment wheel

• Remove the product and accessories from the box. Make sure all items are present.

• Inspect the product to ensure that it has not been broken or damaged in transit.

• Do not discard the packaging material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily used the product. ATTENTION: If any part is missing or damaged, contact the Ofcial Technical Service. Do not use this product without having replaced the missing or damaged part. Using this product with damaged or missing parts can cause serious injury to the operator.49

ASSEMBLY ATTENTION: Do not connect the machine to the power supply until assembly is complete. Failure to comply could result in serious injury. HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY

1. Insert the lower handles into the holes and make sure you insert them completely into your home.

2. Lock the screws on each side.

3. Slide the cable holder through the upper handle.

4. Connect the middle handle to the upper handle by inserting the holes through the bolts in the upper handle

and secure it by screwing in the knobs.

5. Perform the same step to connect the central handle with the lower one.

1. Lift the protective cover of the machine, align the mounting holes of the collection basket with the M

projections on the machine body.

2. To remove the collection basket, lift the protective cover, lift the basket upwards and remove it from the

PRODUCT USE ATTENTION: To avoid injury from accidental starts, always turn off the machine and disconnect it from the power supply before moving it or making adjustments. START UP ATTENTION: Be sure to use an extension cable suitable for outdoor use (H05VV-F 2X0.75mm2) attached to the power supply through a leakage protection system (RCD).

1. Connect the machine to the extension cable and then to the power supply.

STARTING AND STOPPING

1. Press and hold the safety lock button on the switch box.

2. Pull the switch lever upwards towards the handle and hold it in this position to start the engine.

3. Release the safety lock button.

4. To stop the machine, release the switch lever.

WORKING DEPTH ADJUSTMENTS

To adjust the working depth you can select between two levels LOW or HIGH.

• When you turn the adjustment wheel to the LOW level, the working depth will be greater up to a depth of -11mm. Use a medium-low level to remove moss and weeds from the lawn.

• When you turn the wheel to the HIGH level, the working depth will be less, up to a maximum of 5mm. Use this level to remove grass clippings. Adjusting knob Lock button

MAINTENANCE Good maintenance will extend the life of the machine. Prolonged or constant use may require more intensive maintenance for the machine to continue to function properly. ATTENTION: Make sure the machine is completely turned off before performing any maintenance or repairs. This will eliminate any potential risk. The machine is set at the factory. Do not make unnecessary adjustments, adjust only when necessary due to normal wear.

1. Unscrew the screw (S) and remove it from the bearing cover.

2. Lift the bearing cover (B) and remove the scarier roller from the machine.

3. Remove the bearing cover from the scarier roller.

To replace the roller:

1. Place the bearing cover on the scarier roller.

2. Place the scarier roller in the housing.

3. Tighten two screws.

1. Unscrew the screw (S) and remove it from the bearing cover.

2. Lift the bearing cover (B) and remove the roller from the machine rake.

3. Remove the roller cover from the rake.

2. Place the rake roller in the housing.

3. Fasten two screws.

CLEANING GUIDE ATTENTION: Do not use solvents, chemicals or abrasives when cleaning the machine as this may damage some surfaces.

• Use gloves or appropriate tools for cleaning. Do not do it with unprotected hands.

• Clean the machine after each use to ensure best performance and durability.

• Use a slightly damp cloth, water and a mild detergent for cleaning.

• Use a brush for parts or pieces that are difcult to access.

• Ensure that all vents designed for heat dispersion are clean and free from obstructions or debris.

• Remove grass clippings, dirt, etc. from the underside of the cover and blades.

• Make sure all hoppers and covers are clean and unobstructed.

• Make sure that the spring terminals, such as the rear cover, return to their places when they are released.

• Clean and check the collection basket for damage and replace damaged parts as required. Allow the collection basket to dry completely before storing to prevent deterioration or rotting.

• Make sure all cables, levers, switches, etc. are clean and working as they should and without problems. S B

• Allow the equipment to cool completely before transporting or storing it.

• Always store the product in a clean, safe, dry place with temperatures between 0º and 45ºC.

• The equipment is not weatherproof and should not be stored in direct sunlight, high temperatures or in damp locations.

• Always store the machine with the cutting element protection installed.

• Store the machine out of the reach of children.

RECICLYING AND DISPOSING

Worn products are potentially recyclable and should not be disposed of in the usual waste. Help us to protect the environment and preserve natural resources. Dispose of the device in an environmentally friendly manner. Do not dispose of it with household waste. Its plastic and metal components can be separated and recycled. Take this appliance to an approved recycling centre (green point). Gasoline, used oils, oil/gasoline blends and objects stained with gasoline (e.g., rags) should not be disposed of in regular trash, sewage, dirt, rivers, lakes or the sea. Oil-stained items should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations: take them to a recycling center. The materials used in the packaging of the machine are recyclable: please dispose of them in the appropriate container. GUARANTEE GREENCUT guarantees all GREENCUT products for a period of 24 months (valid for Europe). The warranty is subject to the date of purchase taking into account the intended use of the product. As a condition subject to warranty, the original receipt must be presented indicating the date of purchase and its description as well as the defective tool. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, especially on blades, blade fasteners, turbines, light sources, fan and transmission belts, impellers, air lters, spark plugs and damage caused by improper use, especially non- compliance with operating and maintenance instructions. In the event that repairs or modications have been made by the consumer or other than with original GREENCUT spare parts, the warranty will be voided. In the event of a justied warranty claim, we are entitled, at our discretion, to repair or replace the defective tool free of charge. Other claims beyond this warranty are not valid.54 DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY (EC) We, PRAT INTERNATIONAL BRANDS S.L., owner of the GREENCUT brand, with headquarters in Calle Blanquers (plot 7-8) Polígono Industrial Valls. 43800 - Valls, SPAIN, declare that the GSC1700C scarier, from the serial number of the year 2020 onwards, are in conformity with the requirements of the applicable European Parliament and Council Directives:

• Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2006 on machinery, and amending Directive 95/16/EC. Harmonised standards: EN 60335-1:2012/A2:2019, EN 50636-2-92:2014. The product delivered is the same as the one that underwent the EC type-examination.
