How to pair the RIG 800HS V2 headset with my PS4?

Plug the USB adapter into your PS4, turn on the console, then turn on the headset. The connection is automatic. If needed, go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices and select Plantronics RIG800XX.

How to adjust the volume on the headset?

Use the upper and lower buttons on the right earcup: the upper button adjusts the game/chat balance, the lower button adjusts the main volume.

What equalization modes are available?

There are 4 modes: Pure Equalization (1 tone), Seismic Equalization (2 tones) for bass, Intense Equalization (3 tones) for details, and Vocal Equalization (4 tones) for voices.

How to activate microphone monitoring?

Press and hold the mute button on the earcup until you hear tones. One tone = no monitoring, two tones = low, three tones = high.

How long does it take to charge the headset?

Full charge takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. The red indicator turns off when the battery is full.

Can I use the headset on Xbox One?

Yes, plug the adapter into the Xbox One, turn on the console and the headset. Make sure to assign it in Display & sound > Kinect & devices > Device options.

Is the headset compatible with PC?

Yes, plug the adapter via USB. If you use a RIG 800HX or 800LX, switch the switch on the back of the adapter to PC.

How to clean the RIG 800HS V2 headset?

Wipe the headset with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents. The ear cups can be removed for deep cleaning.

What to do if the microphone doesn't work?

Check that the microphone boom is lowered (not in mute mode). Make sure the headset is properly paired. Restart the console and re-pair if necessary.

Setup and basics

Your adapter comes pre-paired to your headset. After you adjust and charge your headset and configure your adapter, power on your headset and it's ready to go.

Fit Your headset components easily snap into the headset frame to configure the best fit and sound.

The headband adjusts to three sizes (small, medium, large) by moving the earcups. To remove an earcup, press the earcup to detach it from the headband.

NOTE Headband style may vary.

Setup PS4 PS4

1 Connect your adapter to your system.

2 Power on your PS4 and Check for updates
3 Go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings > Select Digital Out (Optical)
4 Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices > Output Devices Select Plantronics RIG800XX

PS4 (slim version)

1 Connect your adapter to your system.

2 Power on your PS4 and Check for updates
3 Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices > Output Devices Select Plantronics RIG800XX
4 Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices > Output to headphones > All audio

IMPORTANT Optical cable connection is only for RIG 800HD and RIG 800HS.

2 RIG 800HX and RIG 800LX only: Ensure the switch on the back of the adapter is set to «PC.»

Charge

It takes up to 4.5 hours to fully charge your headphones. The headset LED is red while charging and turns off when complete.

Adjust volume 1 To increase or decrease the game and chat volume, adjust the top headset dial.

2 To increase or decrease the master volume, adjust the bottom headset dial.

IMPORTANT For the PS4 (slim version), set the top headset dial in the middle; game and chat remain balanced. Use the bottom headset dial to increase or decrease the master volume.

Mute

Lift the boom to a full stop to mute the microphone.

CAUTION Do not force the boom past its upper or lower limits.

Set EQ

Cycle through the EQ modes by tapping the EQ button.
