2Notes on the Cord The provided short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as

great as the electrical rating of the appliance.

2. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or table

top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally. Notes on the Plug This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). Before Using For The First Time There may be manufacturing residue or oil remaining in the toaster or heating element, which might emit an odor at the time of the rst use. This is normal and will not occur after several uses. It is suggested to operate the toaster without bread for rst toasting cycle according to the below steps. Then let the unit cool down before you start toasting the rst slice. How To Use The Toaster

1. Ensure the toaster is connected to the main power supply.

2. Place one to two slices of bread into the toasting slots and press the loading lever down until it latches.

The toaster will heat up automatically and start toasting. NOTE: the toaster must be connected to the main power supply in order for the bread carriage to engage and for the toasting cycle to begin

3. Adjust the browning control to brown the toast to your desired taste.

4. To stop toasting press the CANCEL (

) button at any time.

5. The loading lever will rise automatically when toasting is nished. This toaster is equipped with a high lift

lever to help with the removal of smaller items.

6. If the toast is not dark enough, you can toast the bread again. Adjust the browning control to your desired

setting and replace the toast. Ensure the toast does not burn while re-toasting. Reheat Toast Bagel Defrost Wafe Gluten- free Cancel Loading Lever Slots Browning Control Browning Level Indicator 4Browning Control The browning control enables adjustment of toasting time and has the following settings: Toast Function ( ) Toast your bread to your liking with TOAST function. This is the default option; the Toast indicator is lit up when Toaster is powered up.

1. Place one slice of bread in each toasting slot.

2. Set the browning control to desired setting.

3. Press the loading lever down.

4. Press the TOAST button (

). The Toast indicator will light up. Ensure toast doesn’t burn.

5. The loading lever will rise automatically when the toasting cycle is complete.

Bagel Function ( ) The bagel setting works great for English mufns, too!

1. Place one half in each toasting slot with the cut sides facing the center.

2. Set the browning control to desired setting.

). The bagel indicator will light up. Ensure bagel doesn’t burn.

5. The loading lever will rise automatically when the toasting cycle is complete.

Defrost Function ( ) Your Toaster can defrost bread before it is toasted. You can also use it to defrost your gluten-free bread, bagel or wafe.

1. Place the frozen bread, bagel or wafe in the toaster.

2. Set the browning control to desired shade setting.

3. Press the loading lever down.

4. Press the DEFROST button (

) along with the Toast ( ), Bagel ( ), Wafe ( ) or Gluten- free button. Both the Defrost and Toaster/Bagel/Wafe/Gluten-free indicators will light up.

5. The loading lever will rise automatically when the toasting cycle is complete.

Wafe Function ( ) Use your toaster to heat up your wafes!

1. Place one wafe in each toasting slot

2. Set the browning control to desired setting.

3. Press the loading lever down.

4. Press the WAFFLE button (

). The Wafe indicator will light up. Ensure wafe doesn’t burn.

5. The loading lever will rise automatically when the toasting cycle is complete.

Gluten-free Function ( ) Use your toaster to toast, reheat or defrost your Gluten-free bread, bagels and wafes!

1. Place one bread, bagel or wafe in each toasting slot

2. Set the browning control to desired setting.

3. Press the loading lever down.

4. Press the GLUTEN-FREE button (

) to toast. The Gluten free button will light up. Ensure toast/ bagel/ wafe doesn’t burn.

5. The loading lever will rise automatically when the toasting cycle is complete.

Light Toasting Medium Toasting Dark Toasting

Reheat Function ( ) Use this function for warming pre-toasted bread, bagel or wafe.

1. Place one bread/ bagel/ wafe in each toasting slot

2. Press the loading lever down.

3. Press the REHEAT button (

). The Reheat indicator will light up. Ensure toast doesn’t burn.

4. The loading lever will rise automatically when the toasting cycle is complete.

Cancel Function ( ) The CANCEL ( ) button can be pressed at any time during toasting to interrupt the toasting cycle. CAUTION:

) to stop toasting immediately.

3. Do not toast food with runny ingredients.

4. Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without rst unplugging the toaster from the electrical

outlet. Be sure not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.

5. The bread slot is to be used for toasting regular bread slices only. Do not use the toaster to toast irregular

shaped bread or round bread. Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Disconnect the toaster from outlet before cleaning.

2. Wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth after toaster cools down. Never use metal polish.

3. Pull out crumb tray on bottom of toaster and empty it. If toaster is used frequently, accumulated bread

crumbs should be removed at least once a week. Make sure the crumb tray is inserted correctly to the toaster and completely closed before using the toaster again.

4. The power cord may be wound under the bottom of the toaster when not in use

or for storage. This appliance requires little maintenance. Do not try to repair it yourself.
