Frequently Asked Questions - S'mores Maker BELLA

How do I preheat the S'mores Maker?
Plug in the closed unit. The orange POWER light will turn on. Wait until the green READY light illuminates (about 2 minutes), then place the loaded basket inside and close the lid.
Why does my S'mores Maker smoke or smell when first used?
It is normal for the unit to emit slight smoke or odor during the first use. This is due to manufacturing residues and will disappear after 1-2 uses. We recommend discarding the first batch of s'mores.
How long should I bake s'mores?
Bake for approximately 5 minutes. Check the marshmallows; if not browned to your liking, continue baking in 15-second increments until done. Cooking time may vary depending on ingredients.
Can I use the metal basket in the dishwasher?
Yes, the metal basket is top-rack dishwasher safe. Alternatively, you can hand wash it in hot, soapy water.
What should I do if the lid doesn't close completely?
Ensure the metal basket is properly locked and not overfilled. If the basket is too full, the lid may not close. Reduce the amount of marshmallows or use smaller ingredients to allow the lid to close fully.
How do I clean the cooking plates?
After the unit has cooled, wipe the plates with a damp cloth. For baked-on food, apply a small amount of water or oil, let sit for 5 minutes, then wipe with a paper towel. Use a plastic mesh puff for stubborn stains. Never immerse the main body in water.
Can I use extension cords with this appliance?
Yes, but the extension cord must have a rating at least as high as the appliance's (120V AC) and be arranged so that children cannot pull on it or trip over it.
What types of ingredients can I use in the S'mores Maker?
You can use graham crackers, cookies, marshmallows (full-size or miniature), chocolate bars, chips, peanut butter, fruit, and more. Be creative, but avoid overfilling the basket.
Is it safe to leave the S'mores Maker unattended?
No, never leave the appliance unattended while in use. Always unplug after use and allow it to cool before cleaning or storing.
What is the warranty on the Bella S'mores Maker?
The product comes with a limited two-year warranty covering mechanical defects in material and workmanship, and a 90-day warranty on non-mechanical parts. Proof of purchase is required.

A clean, round kitchen brush or a toothbrush works well to remove baked-on food from the metal basket.

  3. For best results, use only products with directions stating they are safe for cleaning nonstick cooking surfaces. Do not use steel wool or coarse scouring pads.

  4. The cooking plates should be conditioned and conditioned before each heating. To condition plates, lightly coat the cooking surfaces with solid vegetable shortening or vegetable oil. Wipe off excess oil with a clean paper towel or napkin. Carefully follow suggested cleaning procedures below.

  5. If necessary, scrub the cooking plates with a clean, soft scrub sponge or cloth. The S'Mores Maker body does not disassemble for cleaning.

You Don't Need A Campfire

S'Mores got their beginnings in 1927 as an American Girl Scouts campfire favorite. Now the sweet, gooey chocolaty marshmallow goodness is a quick kitchen dessert your family and friends will be demanding year-round.

Classically, a s'more is a couple of toasted marshmallows sandwiched between a plain Hershey's® milk chocolate bar and 2 graham crackers. The heat of the marshmallows melts the chocolate and the dripping mess is extraordinarily edible.

With your new S'Mores Maker, you can be as creative as you want to be. Serve with a scoop of ice cream and a glass of cold milk, or go sophisticated with fresh gelato, fruited mineral water or a delicious dessert wine.

Recipes

NOTE: Quantities to be baked at one time will depend on the size of graham crackers or cookies used to create s'mores and how they fit into the locking metal basket. When using large marshmallows, chocolate bar and 2 graham crackers (top/bottom) the fit will be snug.

Marshmallows will collapse as they cook.

IMPORTANT: The loaded metal basked must FULLY LOCK in order to fit into the S'Mores Maker properly. If the S'Mores Maker top lid is not fully closed, this may cause the graham crackers or cookies to burn and the marshmallows may not cook to your satisfaction.

THE SOLUTION: Cut the marshmallows down in height/size or use miniature marshmallows. Use chocolate or flavored chips, or crushed candy bars in place of solid chocolate bars.

CAUTION: DO NOT OVERFILL S'MORES MAKER. Overflowing foods are hot and dangerous and can cause severe burns to persons or damage to property.
