General Notes

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
• Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
• Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
• The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
• Use only original spare parts.
• In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

WARNING OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Do not use this device near baths, wash basins or other vessels containing water.

WARNING:

• Do not use the appliance if you have skin or heart issues.
• Do not use distilled water! The water boiling inside the appliance generates large vapor bubbles that can lead to scalding.
• Never fill oil or other additives directly into the water tank! Therefor use the aroma attachment.
• The device may only be used when the facial sauna attachment and the aroma attachment are inserted.
• Keep a distance of at least 10cm to the emitted vapor.
• Danger for eyes or other heat-sensitive parts of the body! Keep your eyes closed at all times.

CAUTION:

Should you need to transport the device in assembled condition, hold it at the base, rather than at the attachment.

• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  Children must not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are supervised.
• This appliance is not intended to be immersed in water during cleaning. Please observe the instructions that we have included for you in the chapter "Cleaning".

Notes on Use

The facial sauna is used for cosmetic face care and inhalation.

The application of the facial sauna attachment opens up the pores for better cleaning. In addition, it moisturizes the skin and stimulates the blood circulation. For example, specific application of essential oils ensures healthy inhalation.

WARNING:

• The maximum treatment time should be no longer than 20 minutes!
  We recommend that you use the appliance 2 or 3 times a week at the most.

Accessories

• Treat your entire face with the facial sauna attachment.
• If you wish to add oils or additives, apply a few drops on a cotton pad. Put this in the aroma attachment.

WARNING: Risk of scalding!

Never fill oil or other additives directly into the water tank! As the water evaporates faster, the oil may start to squirt.

• If you wish to deliberately inhale through the mouth and nose, use the inhaler.

Electrical Connection

• Before inserting the plug into the socket, make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You can find this information on the nameplate.
• Connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket.

Initial Operation

CAUTION:

Do not exceed the MAX marking on the water tank! For this purpose, use a measuring cup.

1. Fill the water tank on the base with clean tap water.

NOTE:

Fill as much water as is needed only. The more water you fill, the longer is the inhalation time.

1. Fit the facial sauna attachment on the base. Insert the lugs into the guide and turn it in towards
2. Put a cotton pad with additives in the aroma attachment as needed. To do this, open it at both locking lugs.
3. Fit the aroma attachment in the facial sauna attachment. In doing so, check the lug position. Turn it clockwise to secure.
4. If you wish to use the inhaler for mouth and nose, fit it on the aroma attachment. To do so, use the recesses on the inhaler.

Operation

1. Set the appliance onto a non-slip, level surface.
2. Insert the mains plug into the socket.
3. Set the rotary switch to position 2.

NOTE:

The control lamp indicates the heating process. The heating time is approx. 3 minutes. The water starts boiling.

1. Always set the rotary switch to position 1, before you begin the treatment. Extremely hot steam could hurt your face.

WARNING:

Keep a safety distance of at least 10cm If the temperature of the vapor gets too high, increase the distance.
5. Keep your face above the facial sauna attachment, or keep your nose and mouth on the inhaler.

When you have finished using the Device

1. After treatment, set the rotary switch to position 0 to turn off the appliance.
2. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
3. Let the device cool down completely.
4. Pull the inhaler off in upward direction.
5. Tum the aroma attachment counterclockwise to remove it.
6. Remove the facial sauna attachment by turning it towards
7. Pour the remaining water from the water tank. Then dry the tank using a cloth to avoid lime deposits.

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socked.

WARNING:

• Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.
• To avoid accumulation of fat and other residues, clean the appliance after each use.

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.

• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

• Clean the housing with a dry cloth.

• The facial sauna attachment, the inhaler, and the aroma attachment should be cleaned in soapy warm water, using a mild detergent. Dry the parts well after cleaning.
• Clean the water tank if necessary with a commercially available descaling agent based on citric acid.

Storage

• Clean the appliance as described and let it dry completely.
• For longer periods of non-use we recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging.
  Always store the appliance in a well-ventilated and dry place out of reach of children.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
