How to configure the RE360 repeater?

Plug the repeater near the router. Connect to its WiFi network (e.g., TP-Link_Extender). Open a browser and go to http://tplinkrepeater.net. Create a password and follow the setup wizard. You can also use the TP-Link Tether app.

Why can't I access the configuration page after entering http://tplinkrepeater.net?

Make sure the computer is connected to the repeater's WiFi network or via an Ethernet cable. Check that the IP address is obtained automatically. Try the default IP address 192.168.0.254. If the repeater is already connected to the router, check the router's DHCP list to find the assigned IP address. As a last resort, reset the repeater.

How to reset the RE360 repeater to factory settings?

While the repeater is powered on, press and hold the RESET button (or the WPS/RESET button) for about 10 seconds until the LEDs briefly turn off. Release the button. The repeater will restart with factory settings.

How to use the repeater's Ethernet port?

The Ethernet port allows you to connect a wired device (TV, console, PC) to the WiFi network. After configuring the repeater, simply plug an Ethernet cable between the device and the repeater's port. No additional configuration is needed.

Where to place the repeater for best coverage?

Plug the repeater halfway between the router and the area to cover. Avoid metal obstacles or thick walls. Use the Tether app to optimize placement with the signal indicator.

Is the repeater compatible with my router?

Yes, the RE360 is compatible with all standard WiFi routers (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac). It works as a universal repeater. Just make sure your router broadcasts on the 2.4 GHz and/or 5 GHz bands.

How to use the WPS button?

Press the WPS button on the router, then within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the repeater (or via the web interface). The connection will be made automatically without entering a password.

Are the LED indicators of the repeater customizable?

Yes, via the web interface or the Tether app, you can turn off the LEDs at night or keep them on to indicate signal status. Color and behavior can be changed in settings.

Can I use the repeater in access point mode?

Yes, the RE360 can work in access point mode. Connect it to the router via an Ethernet cable, then configure it via the web interface to create a new WiFi network. This mode is ideal if you have a wired connection.

How to check the firmware version?

Log in to the web interface (http://tplinkrepeater.net). Go to System Tools > Firmware Update. The current version is displayed. You can also check for updates via the Tether app.

1 Einsatzalen

Plug the extender into an electrical outlet near your router and press the power button if it has one.

2 Connect your computer to the extender

Via Wireless

Disconnect your Ethernet connection from your computer and connect to the extender's network (e.g. TP-Link_Extender or TP-Link_Extender_XXXX).

Via Ethernet Cable (If the extender has an Ethernet port)

Disable the Wi-Fi on your computer. Connect your computer to the extender via an Ethernet cable.

3 Configure

Set up your extender via one of the methods.

Method 1: Via TP-Link Tether App

Get the up-to-date Tether app, and follow the app instructions to complete the setup.

Method 2: Via a Web Browser

1 Launch a web browser and enter http://tplinkrepeater.net or

http://192.168.0.254 in the address bar.

Create a password to log in.

2 Follow the instructions on the web page to complete the initial configuration.

4 Relocate

To achieve better signal quality, plug in the extender halfway between your router and the Wi-Fi dead zone.

Enjoy!

Connect your device to the extender using the extended SSID and Wi-Fi password that you've set during the configuration. The default Wi-Fi password is the same as your host network.

Entertainment Adapter

If your extender has an Ethernet port, it can be used as a wireless adapter to connect any Ethernet-only device such as a Blu-ray player, game console, DVR, or smart TV to your Wi-Fi network.

First, connect the extender to your router, then connect your Ethernet-only device to the extender via an Ethernet cable.

Q1 Why can't I see the login page after entering http://tplinkrepeater.net in the browser?

A1: Make sure your computer is connected to the extender either via the extended SSID or via an Ethernet cable (if the extender has an Ethernet port).

A2: Make sure your computer is set to obtain an IP address automatically.

A3: Use the IP address to access the extender. The default IP is 192.168.0.254. If the extender is connected to the router, you should go to your router's DHCP client list to obtain the extender's current IP address.

A4: Reset the extender and connect to its wireless network, enter http://tplinkrepeater.net or http://192.168.0.254 in a web browser and press Enter.

Q2 How do I reset the extender?

A: With the extender powered on, press the RESET button until the LEDs turn on momentarily, then release the button.
