USER MANUAL HOT 397 Orbegozo
Read this manual carefully before running this appliance and save it for reference in order to obtain the best results and ensure safe use.
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
General safety instructions:

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.

Specific safety instructions:
- Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
- Please do not operate the device with an external timer or a separate remote control system.

The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.

During operation the temperature of the exposed surface may be very hot.

The oven gives off heat. You should therefore not place it close to combustible materials such as curtains or wood.
- The clearance above the oven should be at least 50 ~cm and at least 20 ~cm at the sides.
- Put the unit down onto a heat-resistant mat.
- Ensure that the timer is in the "off" position when you are not using the unit.
- This device is not suitable for operation out of doors!
- Do not carry or lift the appliance during use. Always switch it off first and pull out the plug. Carry the appliance always with both hands!
- Please ensure that the mains lead does not come into contact with the hot sections of the device.
- Do not touch the hot parts of the device. Use an oven cloth if necessary.
ATTENTION: do not cover the appliance when it is operating to avoid the risk of fires.
ATTENTION: This symbol show: Hot surface. The temperature of the door or the outer surface may be high when the appliance is operating.

INSTALLATION
This oven has not been designed to be built-in. Place the unit on a dry and smooth surface and make sure that the oven is a minimum 50~cm away from the wall and 20~cm both sides. The back should be placed against the wall. Do not place it close to a closet.
Make sure the door can be completely open without resistance.
Orbegozo midi-oven is designed to be more economical and secure so as to ensure a longer useful life and it is also equipped with a thermostat, a timer and two-way switches.
- Insert the oven's plug into a socket. A yellow warning light shall come on to warn you that your oven is supplied with electricity and is ready to be operated.
- By means of the timer button, you are enabled to ensure that your oven is operated during a predetermined period of time in compliance with table 1 and is then automatically turned off.

By means of the thermostat button, you could set your oven's temperature in compliance with the values mentioned in table 1. This button serves to ensure that your oven automatically starts and then turns off at desired temperatures. A red warning light shall warn you when the thermostat and timer are on. The light shall go out when the timer or thermostat is off.
The lower switch resistance will allow enable top, bottom or both resistors at a time. -

GRILLING WITH THE REVOLVING SPIT (FOR MODEL HOR 398)
Note: always grill only with top heat and with the grease pan inserted. Do not select a roast which is too large. The food being grilled must be far enough away from the internal walls and the heating elements and must not touch them.
- Insert the baking tray/grease pan into the bottom guide ridge of the oven.
- Rub edible oil on to the revolving spit and fixing clips.
- Poultry is dressed before grilling. To do so, tie the wings and the legs closely to the body using kitchen yarn.
- Place the dressed poultry or the piece of roast meat carefully on to the revolving spit. Push the fixing clips on to the revolving spit and use them to fix the roast meat in place.
- Lift the spit by the handle and place it in the oven. First insert the open end on the drive mechanism on the right-hand side of the oven. Then suspend the other end into the corresponding device on the left.
- Turn the function switch to grilling with revolving spit. Select a temperature and cooking time. The revolving spit begins to turn. Please ensure that the piece of roast meat can turn freely.
- After the set time has expired, a sound is heard and the device switches off automatically. When the meat is completely cooked, remove the spit by the handle. Caution, this is very hot!
- Turn off the oven: turn down the timer and temperature and turn the function switch to "0". Do not carry out any cleaning until the device has cooled down completely.


MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before conducting any maintenance and repair procedures, be sure that the plug is out of the socket and the oven is cooled down.
After operation, wipe all parts by using warm soapsuds or liquid detergent and rinse.
- Never use dry and powder cleaners.
- Never wash your oven in the sink or under flowing water.
- Do not clean painted parts by using mechanic cleaning liquids and chemical agents.
INFORMATION ABOUT HOW TO TRANSPORT THE OVEN
Disconnect the appliance before moving it. Handle it with care.
Cover the tray and grill in order to protect them during the transfer. In order to move the oven, use its own packing.
Attention: The first time you use the oven, some smell and smoke may come out.

Disposal of old electrical appliances.
The European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.
