SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

Please read all instructions before using the device.

• This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• This appliance must not be used by children. The appliance and its connecting cable must be kept away from children.
• The appliance must be cooled down and disconnected from the mains during periods of no supervision and prior to assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
• Before plugging into a socket, it shall be ensured that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the rating plate of the appliance.
  Do not use the appliance outdoors.

To avoid fire, electric shock and personal injury, the power unit and the cord shall neither be immersed into water or any other fluid, nor held under running water.
The appliance must be placed out of the reach of children.
- The appliance must be disconnected from the mains by grasping the plug, not the power cord or the juicer itself.
- The power cord shall not touch hot surfaces. It shall be completely unwound before the first use.
- Regular user checks and visual inspections of the appliance must be undertaken to ensure its good condition.
If deemed defective, the use of the juicer shall be avoided. Any repair attempt – but by our service department – may be hazardous and will void the manufacturer's warranty.
The use of any accessory attachment not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause damage or a hazard.
This juicer is intended for household use only.

ABOUT THIS CITRUS JUICER

This appliance has been designed to extract juice from citrus fruits, e.g. oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruits.
Do not use this appliance to squeeze other types of fruits.

- IMPORTANT

The large pressing cone is suitable for larger fruit, such as oranges, using the pressing lever. The small pressing cone is for smaller fruit such as lemons, which must be squeezed by hand.
Exert short bursts (15 seconds) followed by 10-seconds recesses for a maximum of 5 minutes, to prevent the motor from overheating. Allow to cool down to room temperature before further use.
Always use the juicer on a dry and even surface.

ASSEMBLING THE CITRUS JUICER

○ Remove all packaging and clean the parts that will come into contact with food before the first use (see "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE").
Unwind the cord stored around the base of the citrus juicer.
Place the juice collector and the strainer on the base until they fit properly.
- Select a reamer according to the size of the fruit to be squeezed and lock it on the strainer. In order to use the large reamer, place the smaller one on the base first.
Place a container under the spout.
Plug the power cord into the mains.

- EXTRACTING JUICE

Cut the fruits (oranges, lemons, grapefruits, etc.) in half.
Place a piece of fruit onto the reamer. Press it gently against the reamer so the motor will start, and the rotating reamer will squeeze the fruit automatically.
○ Remark: Do not press down the halved fruit too strongly onto the reamer. This may damage or block the motor.
The motor stops automatically as soon as you stop pressing the fruit onto the reamer.
When you have enough juice, remove the juice collector, the strainer and the reamer.
If you process a large quantity of fruits, you must periodically clean the strainer and juice collector to remove the remains of the pulp.

Note: The freshly made juice is best to be consumed immediately, to preserve most of its nutrients. If you wish to store the juice, pour it into a container closed with a lid and keep it in the refrigerator.

- CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

○ Disconnect the citrus juicer from the mains before any cleaning or maintenance operation.
Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Under no circumstances should the device be immersed in water for cleaning.
Wipe the base containing the motor with a damp cloth only.
○ Remove the reamers, the strainer and the juice collector after every use. Wash all these parts with regular dishwashing detergent and lukewarm water.
Dry all the parts thoroughly and reassemble.

Remark: Dry pulp is quite difficult to remove. It is recommended to clean the reamer, the strainer and the juice collector immediately after use.

DISPOSAL

For proper disposal, please return device to a retailer, a service agent or Rotel AG.

European Directive 2012/19/EC concerning Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) states that household appliances should not be disposed of using the normal solid urban waste cycle. Exhausted appliances should be collected separately in order to optimise the cost of re-using and recycling materials comprising the machine, while preventing potential damage to public health and the environment. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol appears on all products to remind owners of the obligations regarding separate waste collection. Owners should contact their local authorities or appliance dealers for further information concerning the correct disposal of household appliances.

○ Warranty commitment

We commit ourselves to repair this device free of charge, should a failure occur within the period of warranty despite proper handling. We repair all defects caused by material or manufacturing faults. The guarantee will be fulfilled either by repairing the device or replacing the defective parts, according to our judgement. A warranty does not cover damages due to wearing parts, damages and defects caused by improper handling or maintenance (such as limescale and commercial use). It will only be granted if either the warranty card stating date of purchase, dealer's stamp and signature, or the purchase receipt is sent with the device to the relevant after-sales service (see address below). Devices shall be returned in their original packaging. Transport costs are to be borne by the purchaser. Remember to specify your address to your sending, as well as a short declaration about the failure, shall the defect not be obvious.
