How to use the Korona 10233 coffee maker?

Open the lid, fill the water reservoir to the desired level (max 12 cups), place a paper filter or the permanent filter, add ground coffee, close the lid, place the carafe on the heating plate, then press the on/off button. The automatic shut-off activates after 40 minutes.

What type of filter to use?

You can use a disposable paper filter or the provided reusable permanent filter. Never use both simultaneously.

How to clean the machine?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Remove the filter and carafe. Wash the removable parts with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water.

How to descale the machine?

Use a mild descaling agent suitable for coffee machines. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. After descaling, rinse the appliance by running two cycles of clear water.

What to do if the machine does not turn on?

Check that the appliance is plugged in and the power outlet works. Make sure the carafe is correctly placed on the heating plate, as the safety system prevents operation without the carafe.

How many cups can you prepare?

Using the permanent filter

When using the permanent filter, do not insert a paper filter!

Instead of inserting a paper filter into the filter holder (6) you can insert the permanent filter (6) into the filter holder. Add your grounded coffee and follow steps 5 - 9.

After use, remove the grounded coffee and clean the permanent filter (6) as described under Cleaning and Care.

Cleaning and Care

Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains. Let it completely cool down.

Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth.

All detachable parts can be cleaned in warm water using some dishwashing detergent, rinse them afterwards and dry them thoroughly.

DESCALING

Depending on the water quality and usage, calcification can occur. Therefore, to keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should descale it on a regular basis.
