Incorrect assembly could result in injury. Please note that washers and gaskets are wear parts and therefore will need to be replaced from Safety notices / Installation27 GB Introduction / Safety notices Safety notices / Installation time to time. Damaged parts could impact s afety and function. Be sure all seals are correctly seated. CAUTION! Be careful not to reverse the hot / cold water plaque
The correct position is: left = red (hot water), right = blue (cold water). CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE! Please have all installations performed by skilled indi- viduals. Please note that the seals are wear parts and must be changed from time to time. Any leakage or sudden escape of water can cause considerable damage to buildings and property. All connections must therefore be checked carefully to ensure that they are tight. Familiarise yourself with all local conditions prior to installation, e.g. water connections and shut- off device. This product is only suitable for use in rooms with temperature above 0 °C. Installation Note: Familiarise yourself with the product prior to assembly. Carefully read the following installation instructions and safety advice. Incorrect installation will void any warranty, particularly particularly with respect to subsequent damage. CAUTION! Turn off the water supply at the mains before starting the installation. Otherwise there is a risk of injury and / or property damage. CAUTION! Do not twist or strain the connect- ing hoses
Note: This step requires a cross-tip screwdriver, a slotted screwdriver, and an open-ended span- ner SW 10. Proceed as follows: Screw the two flexible connecting hoses
hand tight to the specified threaded body on the fit- ting
Note: The two flexible connecting hoses
identical. The flexible connecting hose
be- ing screwed into the left borehole on the fitting body will be the hot water hose, the flexible connecting hose
being screwed into the right borehole will be the cold water hose. CAUTION! Be sure to only tighten the flexible connecting hoses
hand tight. Do not use pli- ers or a wrench. The product may otherwise be damaged. Remove the locknut
from the threaded bolt
and using a screwdriver, screw the threaded bolts
all the way into the designated female threads at the bottom of the fitting
into the groove at the underside of the fitting
and place it over the opening on your washbasin. First place the C-sealing washer
under the washbasin, then the C metal washer
onto the threaded bolts
Now screw the locking nuts
onto the thread bolts
and tighten with an open-end spanner SW 10 mm until the fitting
is seated tightly on the washbasin. Loosen the lower part of the eccentric by turn- ing the upper part of the eccentric
clockwise. Insert the upper part of the eccentric
together with the top seal into the washbasin drain. Tighten the lower eccentric section
Insert the upper part of the pull rod (with the pull button) from above into the pull rod guide of the wash basin mixer. Connect the lower part of the pull rod with the upper part of the pull rod. Remove the screw cap from the lower part of the eccentric. Insert the cap into the ball seal. Insert the bar with the ball into the designated opening of the lower part of the eccentric and screw these together with the cap. Note: Ensure the seal remains inside the cap. Put the connector over the bar and connect this with the pull rod. Note: The bar for the drain set must be bent according to the spacing, as the rod may oth- erwise graze the edge. Use the screw to fix the pull rod in the connect- ing piece.28 GB Installation / Initial use / Operation / Maintenance and Cleaning Guide the stainless-steel clasp over the rear part of the ball head suspension bar. Screw the flexible connecting hoses
to the angle valves. Be sure to correctly install the flexible connecting hoses
to the cold- / hot water hoses – left flexible connecting hose
to the hot water connection, left angle valve, and the right flexible connecting hose
to the cold water connection, right angle valve. Initial use Carefully check all connections for leaks after first use. The fitting must be flushed before being used for the first time to remove any impurities. To do this, proceed as follows: Unscrew the aerator
Open the main water supply and allow the water to flow for two minutes to flush out any residues. Then reattach the aerator
Operation Note: If the fitting has not been used for a long pe- riod, flush the pipes thoroughly to avoid stagnation and build-up of residue. Open the main water supply. Lift the handle
and swing it to the right or left to regulate the flow or temperature of the water. Hot water: Swing the handle
to the left. Cold water: Swing the handle
to the right. Check operation of the mixer. To do so, swing the handle
into all permissible positions. Please regularly check the connections are tight. Maintenance and Cleaning Maintaining and cleaning the fitting Please note that sanitary taps require special care and attention. Unscrew and remove the aerator
at regular intervals and remove any residues of scale or foreign bodies. If heavily contaminated or dam- aged, replace the aerator
can usually be uns crewed by hand. Otherwise use an open-end spanner SW 22 mm and be sure to wrap the aerator
with a thin damp cloth to prevent damaging it. A pipe wrench with plastic jaws is also suitable. Failure to observe the above care advice can be expected to result in damage to the surfaces of the product. This will inevitably invalidate the guarantee. Replacing the cartridge A cartridge
is a wear part that needs replacing according to the hardness and / or degree of con- tamination of the water. This becomes evident when the handle
becomes difficult to move. A new cartridges
can be obtained from the listed ser- vice office. Note: this step requires an open-end spanner SW 27 mm or fitting pliers. Proceed as follows to replace the cartridge

Disposal The packaging is made of environmen- tally friendly materials, which may be disposed of through your local recycling facilities. Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details on how to dispose of your worn-out product. Information Potability of tap water Learn about the potability of your mains water supply. Your local water authority or water sup- ply company will be able to inform you. The following general recommendations apply to the potability of tap water: Let the water run freely for a short time if it has been stagnating in the pipework for more than four hours. Do not use any of this stagnant water in the preparation of food or for drinking. This applies particularly as far as babies and infants are concerned. Health concerns may otherwise arise. Fresh water can be readily distinguished from stagnant water as fresh water is noticeably cooler as it leaves the pipe. Do not use stagnant water from chromium-plated pipework to prepare food, for drinking, or for personal hygiene if you are allergic to nickel. This water may contain high quantities of nickel and trigger an allergic reaction. Do not use water from lead pipework for prepar- ing food baby food and / or to prepare foods during pregnancy. Lead dissolves in drinking water and is particularly damaging to the health of babies and young children. Warranty and Service The warranty period is three years from the date of purchase.
