time to time. Damaged parts could impact safety and function.
- Be sure all seals are correctly seated.
CAUTION! Be careful not to reverse the hot / cold water plaque 11. The correct position is: left = red (hot water), right = blue (cold water).
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE! Please have all installations performed by skilled individuals.
Please note that the seals are wear parts and must be changed from time to time.
Any leakage or sudden escape of water can cause considerable damage to buildings and property. All connections must therefore be checked carefully to ensure that they are tight.
Familiarise yourself with all local conditions prior to installation, e.g. water connections and shut-off device.
This product is only suitable for use in rooms with temperature above 0^
Installation
Note: Familiarise yourself with the product prior to assembly. Carefully read the following installation instructions and safety advice. Incorrect installation will void any warranty, particularly particularly with respect to subsequent damage.
CAUTION! Turn off the water supply at the mains before starting the installation. Otherwise there is a risk of injury and/or property damage.
CAUTION! Do not twist or strain the connecting hoses.
Note: This step requires a cross-tip screwdriver, a slotted screwdriver, and an open-ended spanner SW 10.
Proceed as follows:
Screw the two flexible connecting hoses hand tight to the specified threaded body on the fitting 1.
Note: The two flexible connecting hoses are identical. The flexible connecting hose being screwed into the left borehole on the fitting
body will be the hot water hose, the flexible connecting hose 7 being screwed into the right borehole will be the cold water hose.
CAUTION! Be sure to only tighten the flexible connecting hoses 7 hand tight. Do not use pliers or a wrench. The product may otherwise be damaged.
Remove the locknut 6 from the threaded bolt 5 and using a screwdriver, screw the threaded bolts 5 all the way into the designated female threads at the bottom of the fitting 1.
Insert the fitting base seal 2 into the groove at the underside of the fitting 1 and place it over the opening on your washbasin.
First place the C-sealing washer 3 under the washbasin, then the C metal washer 4 onto the threaded bolts 5.
Now screw the locking nuts 6 onto the thread bolts 5 and tighten with an open-end spanner SW 10mm until the fitting 1 is seated tightly on the washbasin.
Loosen the lower part of the eccentric by turning the upper part of the eccentric 8 clockwise.
Insert the upper part of the eccentric together with the top seal into the washbasin drain.
- Tighten the lower eccentric section 8 with the lower seal hand tight below the washbasin.
Insert the upper part of the pull rod (with the pull button) from above into the pull rod guide of the wash basin mixer.
- Connect the lower part of the pull rod with the upper part of the pull rod.
Remove the screw cap from the lower part of the eccentric. Insert the cap into the ball seal.
Insert the bar with the ball into the designated opening of the lower part of the eccentric and screw these together with the cap.
Note: Ensure the seal remains inside the cap.
Put the connector over the bar and connect this with the pull rod.
Note: The bar for the drain set must be bent according to the spacing, as the rod may otherwise graze the edge.
Use the screw to fix the pull rod in the connecting piece.
Guide the stainless-steel clasp over the rear part of the ball head suspension bar.
Screw the flexible connecting hoses 7 to the angle valves. Be sure to correctly install the flexible connecting hoses 7 to the cold- / hot water hoses - left flexible connecting hose 7 to the hot water connection, left angle valve, and the right flexible connecting hose 7 to the cold water connection, right angle valve.
- Initial use
Carefully check all connections for leaks after first use.
The fitting must be flushed before being used for the first time to remove any impurities. To do this, proceed as follows:
Unscrew the aerator 13 from the fitting 1.
- Open the main water supply and allow the water to flow for two minutes to flush out any residues.
Then reattach the aerator 13 to the fitting 1.
Operation
Note: If the fitting has not been used for a long period, flush the pipes thoroughly to avoid stagnation and build-up of residue.
Open the main water supply.
Lift the handle 17 and swing it to the right or left to regulate the flow or temperature of the water.
Hot water:
Swing the handle 17 to the left.
Cold water:
Swing the handle 17 to the right.
Check operation of the mixer. To do so, swing the handle 17 into all permissible positions. Please regularly check the connections are tight.
- Maintenance and Cleaning
Maintaining and cleaning the fitting
Please note that sanitary taps require special care and attention. Therefore, please follow the instructions:
- Never use petrol, solvents or abrasive cleaners or hard bristled brushes, etc., These could damage the product surface.
Dry your fittings with a cloth after every use in order to avoid the build-up of any limescale.
Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth and, if necessary, mild detergent.
Unscrew and remove the aerator 13 at regular intervals and remove any residues of scale or foreign bodies. If heavily contaminated or damaged, replace the aerator 13.
Note: The aerator can usually be unscrewed by hand. Otherwise use an open-end spanner SW 22 mm and be sure to wrap the aerator with a thin damp cloth to prevent damaging it. A pipe wrench with plastic jaws is also suitable.
Failure to observe the above care advice can be expected to result in damage to the surfaces of the product. This will inevitably invalidate the guarantee.
- Replacing the cartridge
A cartridge 14 is a wear part that needs replacing according to the hardness and / or degree of contamination of the water. This becomes evident when the handle 17 becomes difficult to move. A new cartridges 14 can be obtained from the listed service office.
Note: this step requires an open-end spanner SW 27 mm or fitting pliers.
Proceed as follows to replace the cartridge 14
Shut off the main water supply. Allow any remaining water in the pipework to drain.
Remove the warm / cold plaque 11 by adjusting the handle 17 to the highest position and inserting a flat object between the edge of the
hot/cold plaque 11 and the outside of the handle 17.
Note: Carefully push the warm / cold plaque 11 outward using light pressure to prevent scratching the surface.
Loosen the locking screw 12 with the hex key 10 by turning it counter-clockwise.
CAUTION! Do not completely unscrew the locking screw 12. Only loosen this as far as is necessary to remove the handle 17.
Remove the handle 17.
Unscrew the cartridge covering ring 16 do not use pliers or a spanner. The product may otherwise be damaged.
Loosen the cartridge locknut 15 inside using fitting pliers or an open-end spanner SW 27mm and pull the entire cartridge 14 out of the fitting 1.
Insert the new cartridge into the fitting 1 in the same manner.
Note: Ensure the seal is correctly seated under the cartridge 14. Make sure that the guides are in the corresponding holes.
Reassemble all the above parts. Tighten the cartridge lock nut using fitting pliers or an open-end spanner SW 27 mm while simultaneously securing the fitting from twisting. This will achieve tightness and ensure the handle is not difficult to move.
CAUTION! Be careful not to reverse the hot / cold water plaque.
The correct position is:
$$ \begin{array}{l} l e f t = r e d (h o t w a t e r), \ \text {r i g h t} = \text {b l u e (c o l d w a t e r)}. \ \end{array} $$

Information
- Potability of tap water
Learn about the potability of your mains water supply. Your local water authority or water supply company will be able to inform you.
The following general recommendations apply to the potability of tap water:
Let the water run freely for a short time if it has been stagnating in the pipework for more than four hours. Do not use any of this stagnant water in the preparation of food or for drinking. This applies particularly as far as babies and infants are concerned. Health concerns may otherwise arise. Fresh water can be readily distinguished from stagnant water as fresh water is noticeably cooler as it leaves the pipe.
-
Do not use stagnant water from chromium-plated pipework to prepare food, for drinking, or for personal hygiene if you are allergic to nickel. This water may contain high quantities of nickel and trigger an allergic reaction.
-
Do not use water from lead pipework for preparing food baby food and / or to prepare foods during pregnancy. Lead dissolves in drinking water and is particularly damaging to the health of babies and young children.
