How to assemble the Stratus No.2 steamer?

Assemble the three-part rod, attach it to the center of the steamer. Attach the hook and hanger at the top of the rod, then attach the head to the hose and hang it on the hook. Firmly connect the hose to the steam outlet.

How to use the steam steamer?

Place the steamer on a flat surface, fill the water tank (500 to 3200 ml), turn it on (power button), select the power level (right = low, left = high), wait 40 seconds, then start steaming.

What water to use in the tank?

Use only tap water. Never pour other liquids. Empty the tank after each use to avoid leaks.

Can the steamer be used on all fabrics?

Yes, but for delicate fabrics like silk or wool, attach the included fabric brush. Use the heat protection glove to avoid burns.

How to clean and descale the appliance?

Descale every 20 refills: remove the tank and hose, empty the water, pour 50 ml of descaling liquid (or white vinegar) + 100-200 ml of hot water into the opening under the tank. Tilt the appliance to let residues flow out, repeat until water is clear.

What to do if the steamer drips?

Do not tilt it once filled with water. Ensure the hose is kept vertical, ideally 1 to 2 meters above the appliance, to avoid water accumulation.

What are the important safety instructions?

Never direct steam at people, animals, or plants. Do not touch the hot head. Use the appliance on a flat surface, away from moisture. Unplug after use. Do not leave unattended.

Why is no steam coming out?

Check that the tank is properly filled and locked in, the appliance is turned on and has heated up (40 seconds). If the problem persists, there may be a limescale blockage: descale the appliance.

How to store the steamer?

Always empty the water tank. Place it on a surface protected from moisture. Store the hose and accessories in a dry place. Use the hook to hang the head.

What does the Steamery warranty cover?

The 2-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or accidental damage. Contact Steamery for repair or replacement.

Assemble Your Steamer

1. Assemble the rod set. The thinnest rod part is the top part.
2. Attach the assembled rod to the center of the steamer.
3. Release the top screw and attach the hook at the top of the rod.
4. Attach the steam head to the hose.
5. Place the steam head on the hook.
6. Firmly attach the hose to the steam outlet on the top of the steamer in front of the rod.

Start Using Your Steamer

Using Your Steamer

1. Place the steamer on a flat surface where you plan to use it. Take out the water tank and unscrew the cap.
2. Fill the tank with 500 - 3200ml of water and put the tank back into the steamer. Please note that the steamer might leak water if you tilt it, once there is water in the tank (do not start the steamer on an empty tank).
3. Start the Stratus No.2 Professional Steamer by switching the on/off lever (notice the green light indicator). Turn the switch to the right to turn on steam power 1 (low) and left for steam power 2 (high). Wait 40 seconds for the steamer to heat up.
4. Start steaming.
5. Turn off the Stratus No.2 Professional Steamer by switching the on/off switch to the middle (the green light indicator goes off).
6. Do not leave your steamer filled with water. In rare cases it may leak. Steamery does not take any responsibility for any wet damaged floors or interior.

Steam Your Garments

Steaming your clothes is easy and you will find your own way. Here are some of our recommendations.

1. Hang your garment on a separate hanger.
2. Push the steam head firmly against the fabric while steaming.
3. You may stretch the fabric while letting the hot steam pass through it.
4. For sensitive fabric such as silk or wool, we recommend you attach the fabric brush on to the steam head (included in the package).
5. To keep the fabric straight you may want to grab the fabric hem while steaming. Use the heat glove to avoid burning yourself (included in the package).

Emptying and Cleaning Your Steamer

When water is converted into steam, residues of calcium and magnesium gather in the boiler inside your steamer. When the steamer has been used for a while, these residues form a coating, which may reduce the efficiency and eventually damage your steamer.

Therefore, it is important to descale your steamer once in a while. We recommend that you descale it every 20 water tanks.

D esing liquid is an acid that dissolves magnesium and calcium. By pouring descending liquid (or any other similar acid as ex white distilled vinegar) and hot water inside the boiler you will clean your steamer from these residues.

Descale your steamer by following the steps below:

1. Remove the tank and the hose.
2. Empty the steamer from water through the steam outlet.
3. Pour 50ml of descending liquid and 100-200ml of hot water in the opening under the tank.
4. Tilt the steamer back and forth. When tilting the steamer, you will see brown pieces of magnesium and calcium in the water.
5. Pour out the water through the steam outlet or tilt the steamer to the side.
6. Follow this procedure a couple of times until the water is clear and no more brown pieces can be seen in the water.

Safety Recommendation

1. When the steamer is in use the front of the steam head becomes very hot. Therefore, avoid touching the steam head when the steamer is in use.
2. Do under no circumstances point the steam towards people, animals or plants etc.
3. The steam hose shall be held vertically and preferably 1,2 meter over the steamer to avoid water assembling in the hose.
4. Use the steamer on flat floors. Otherwise the steamer may risk leaking water.
5. Do not fill the water tank with any other liquid than water.
6. Do not use the steamer if the cable is broken.
7. Remove the steamer from the electricity when not in use.
8. Children should not use or maintain the steamer.
9. The steamer should not be used as a toy.
10. Never place the steamer directly on a carpet.
11. Always keep Stratus No.2 Professional Steamer on a wet-protected surface when using and storing it. Alternatively empty your steamer when it is not in use. In rare cases the steamer may leak, keep watch over your steamer. Steamery does not take responsibility for water damaged floors and interior.
