How do I connect the Intellinet 561921 switch?

Plug the included power cord into the switch's power input, then into a wall outlet (100-240 V AC). Turn on the switch (position |). Connect your network devices to the Ethernet ports using Cat5e or higher cables. No configuration is needed thanks to plug and play mode.

What should I do if the PoE LED flashes?

A flashing PoE LED indicates abnormal power supply. Check that the connected device is PoE-compatible and does not exceed the maximum power of 30 W per port. If the problem persists, disconnect the device and test another port.

What is the maximum PoE power per port?

Each PoE port (ports 1 to 4) can provide up to 30 watts. However, the total switch power is limited to 55 watts across all ports.

Can I mount the switch on the wall?

Yes, the switch supports wall mounting. Place two screws (not included) into the wall at the spacing indicated on the housing, then hang the unit on the screws and slide it until it is secure.

Which cables should I use for optimal performance?

To achieve 2.5 Gbps speed, use Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, or Cat8.x UTP/STP cables. Lower quality cables may limit the speed.

How can I tell if a device is connected at 2.5 Gbps?

Observe the Link/Act LED: if it is lit green, the connection is at 2500 Mbps. If it is orange, the connection is at 100 or 1000 Mbps.

Is the switch compatible with non-PoE devices?

Yes, the PoE ports are backward compatible. You can connect non-PoE devices (computers, printers, etc.) without any issue. They will not receive power over the Ethernet cable.

What does the PoE/Max LED lit mean?

The PoE/Max LED lit indicates that the system has reached a total power output of 55 watts, the maximum. No other PoE device can be powered until the consumption drops.

What should I do if the power (PWR) LED does not light up?

Check that the power cord is properly connected to the switch and to a working electrical outlet. Ensure the switch is in the | (on) position. If the LED remains off, try another outlet or contact support.

How to maintain the switch?

To clean the switch, unplug it and use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid liquids and abrasive products. Ensure adequate ventilation (25 mm space around the device) and keep it away from sources of electrical interference.

The Intellinet Network Solutions 5-Port 2.5G Ethernet PoE+ Switch offers an array of time-saving, cost-effective features while providing superior network throughput. No configuration is required and installation is plug and play. Thanks to its desktop design, superior performance and value, the switch is the perfect choice for your small office home or home network. With a backplane speed of 25 Gbps, plenty of performance is available for your computers, servers and other networking devices. Each of the ports automatically senses the link speed of the connected network device and adjusts to 10, 100, 1000 and 2500 Mbps for compatibility and maximum performance. Designed to give ample power to compatible devices that need them, this PoE+ switch offers up to 30 watts of power per port until its power budget of 55 watts is reached.

Placement

Desktop Installation

Prior to use, it is recommended that the switch be placed/positioned:

• on a level surface that can support the weight of the switch (and possibly other objects);
• with at least 25 mm (approx. 1") of clearance for ventilation;
• away from sources of electrical noise: radios, transmitters, broadband amplifiers;
• within 100 m (approx. 328') of network devices it's to be connected to.

Wall Mounting

First, install screws (not included) into the wall at appropriate distances.

Then, hang the unit on the screws and slide it into place so it is secure.

Cat5e/6/6a/8.x UTP/STP cables provide optimal performance. If a status LED doesn't indicate a link or activity, check the corresponding device for proper setup and operation.
