1- Do not use the appliance with wet hands, in a damp environment

or on wet surfaces. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. 2- Do not use this appliance near bathtubs or other vessels containing water. 3- Unplug the appliance when it is off because proximity to water could pose a threat; be extra careful when using it in the bathroom. 4- Do not use this electric appliance if it has been in contact with liquids, if its electric cord is damaged or if its body and/or accessories show clear signs of damage. If the appliance does not work properly, disconnect it from the power immediately and take it to an approved service centre. 5- If the electric cord is 7 8damaged, it must be replaced immediately by the manufacturer, an authorised service centre or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. 6 - Keep the appliance and its electric cord away from sources of heat and from heat-sensitive surfaces (plastic, vinyl, etc.). 7- Do not hold or handle the appliance by the electric cord. Do not wind the electric cord around the appliance, bend it or twist it so as not to impair its correct functioning and thus damage the appliance. Lack of compliance with the above warnings and instructions could cause a short circuit and thus irreparable damage to the appliance, as well as put the user’s safety at risk. 8- Unplug the appliance when not in use and allow it to cool down before storing it in a safe place. To disconnect the appliance, unplug the electric cord from the wall power outlet.

9- To clean the appliance, always disconnect it from the power

outlet first and let it cool completely. When cleaning, do not use aggressive products containing phenylphenol. 10- This appliance should only be used for its intended purpose. 11- This appliance has especially sharp professional blades, so use it carefully to avoid injuries or lesions. 12- Always turn this appliance off before changing one of its accessories. 13- For additional protection the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice. This appliance must not be used by people with reduced physical, motor or mental capacity (including children), or with limited knowledge of the appliance itself, unless such people have been trained for its use or are under adequate supervision to ensure their own safety. Children must be under supervision at all times to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Do not use this appliance near bathtubs or other vessels containing water. 9 10GT905 BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE: Before charging the beard trimmer for the first time we recommend fully discharging the battery and then fully charging it.

1. Make sure that the appliance is switched off.

2. Plug the battery charger into the power outlet and then position the appliance into the specific seat. The

charging LED will light up and remain red for a few seconds. This means the appliance is ready to begin the charging process. As soon as the appliance actually begins charging, the LED will change colour, turning blue. The first charge takes 12 hours. Subsequent charges take about 2 hours. When fully charged, the battery will last about 80 minutes.

3. Disconnect the battery charger from the outlet once it is fully charged.

The duration of the battery varies based on usage frequency and times. To increase the lifespan of the batteries, this procedure should be carried out at least twice every 12 months, discharging the battery completely and recharging it for the maximum time. If the appliance is not used often, remember in any case to carry out a charging cycle every so often during the year to keep it working efficiently. On the contrary, when the charging is finished, do not keep the appliance connected to the mains to prevent the battery from overcharging and damaging the appliance.

WARNING: Do not attempt to replace the internal battery of the beard trimmer. This can lead to the risk

• Turn off the beard trimmer by pressing the (O/I) button. INSERTION OF THE INTERCHANGEABLE HEADS: The method for insertion of the two heads is identical. There are two black plastic guides inside the upper part of the beard trimmer and there is a black lever on each head. To insert the heads, place the black lever on the two guides; with one of your thumbs, keep it from sliding and, with the other thumb, push toward the front of the appliance until you hear a slight click: the insertion procedure is now complete. LIMITED WARRANTY: Duration of warranty period: 1 or 2 years depending on customer category in compliance with Directive 1999/44/EC. For support service under warranty, please take the original purchase ticket / sales receipt to the shop where the product was purchased. The product will be repaired free of charge or immediately replaced with similar product of equal or greater value. 11 12REMOVAL OF THE INTERCHANGEABLE HEADS: The method for removal of the two heads is identical. To remove the heads, grasp the beard trimmer by the front side, place your thumb over the head and push backwards until the head is completely removed. INSERTION OF COMBS: The supplied combs have two concave hemisphere-shaped lateral slots, while the appliance has two convex hemisphere-shaped lateral slots. To insert them on the beard trimmer, place the hemispheres found on the combs on the hemispheres found on the appliance and lightly push until you hear a slight click: the insertion procedure is now complete. To remove the combs just extract them making the combs slide outwards. CUTTING LENGTH ADJUSTMENT: The GT905 beard trimmer offers the possibility of making finishing touches with cutting length varying between 0.8 mm to 1 mm (if used without any guide comb attached) and performing classic hair cuts with the following lengths: 3, 6, 9 and 12 mm. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE: A clean and properly lubricated beard trimmer considerably improves its capacity and cutting precision. DO NOT CLEAN ANY PART OF THE APPLIANCE UNDER RUNNING WATER. CLEANING THE HEAD: Before any cleaning operation, make sure that the appliance is properly turned off and disconnected from the power outlet. Remove the accessory if it is inserted. Using the special brush supplied, remove any hair residues between the blades and the back of the blade head. NEVER DISASSEMBLE THE HEAD OF THE BLADE OR YOU WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY ON THE ENTIRE PRODUCT. HOW AND WHEN TO LUBRICATE THE BLADE: Before the first use we recommend lubricating the blade with a drop of the oil found in the package or with any other lubricating oil (make sure that it is not too viscous). Turn the beard trimmer upside down (Fig. 1) so that oil does not drip on the appliance. Lubricate the blade with a few drops of oil. Turn the appliance on for a few seconds so that the oil is distributed evenly along the entire blade. Then, using a dry cloth, eliminate any excess oil residues. We recommend repeating this procedure every two months or more often, depending on product use. Fig.1 BLADE DURATION: The duration of the blade varies based on usage frequency and times. Although correct maintenance is performed, if the cutting efficiency is compromised, contact the manufacturer to have the entire head replaced.
