How to purchase a replacement filter for the THOMSON THRAF470E?
Frequently Asked Questions - 26 j
Response Notice-Facile

To obtain a replacement filter for your THOMSON THRAF470E, you need to contact the official importer directly:

Schneider Consumer Group
12 rue Jules Ferry
93110 Rosny-sous-Bois
France

They will be able to provide you with the exact references for the spare parts and how to order them. The THRAF470E has three distinct filters:

  • Filter A - Honeycomb structure (inside) - reusable after rinsing with water
  • Filter B - Funnel design
  • Filter C - Dust filter (back) - to be cleaned regularly

Before ordering, note that filters A and C can often be simply cleaned rather than replaced, which will save you costs. Rinse them with clear water and let them dry completely before reinstalling.

Where is the filter located on the THOMSON THRAF470E air conditioner?
Frequently Asked Questions - 26 j
Response Notice-Facile

The THOMSON THRAF470E air cooler has three stacked filters located at the back of the unit. To access the dust filter, unscrew the locking screw that holds it in place, then remove it by sliding it upwards.

The complete structure of the filters, from the inside to the outside, is as follows:

  • Filter A (honeycomb): moistened honeycomb structure for cooling, positioned inside the unit
  • Filter B (funnel): water collector located above filter A
  • Filter C (dust): washable protective filter positioned at the back of the unit, easily accessible

Regular cleaning: To maintain optimal efficiency, we recommend regularly cleaning the dust filter. The honeycomb filter (filter A) can be rinsed regularly and is designed for several years of use. To reinstall, first place filter A, then position funnel B above it, slide filter C to the back, and screw the locking screw back in.

Important notice: Never use the unit without all filters installed, as this would damage the water pump system and reduce cooling efficiency. If you do not use the unit for several days, empty the water tank after use.

Respond (be the first)
Why is the filter leaking and how can I fix it?
Frequently Asked Questions - 26 j
Response Notice-Facile

A leak at the filter of the THOMSON THRAF470E air conditioner can result from several common causes:

Main causes and solutions

  • Improperly positioned filter: Check that the three filters (dust filter C, honeycomb filter A, and funnel filter B) are properly fitted and securely tightened. The dust filter must be firmly attached by fully unscrewing the locking screw.
  • Defective or worn seal: If the filters are properly installed, the seal between the filter and the main body may be worn. Check its condition; a damaged seal can allow water to escape.
  • Excess water in the tank: The device has a 9L tank. Overfilling or overflow can create a leak in the filtration system. Be sure to adhere to the recommended level.
  • Clogged filters: Dirty or blocked filters can cause malfunctions in the water circulation system. Rinse the filters regularly, especially the honeycomb filter which can be rinsed as needed.

Important: Never use the device without all filters installed, as this can damage the system. If the leak persists after these checks, the internal seal or pump may need to be replaced by customer service.
